It's same like the UK version? Because I saw that update on sammobile a little time ago. But this romanian version it came out after the UK one. So it's something new, or if you can find some change log please post it, I'll try to search to.

do you have to root the tablet in order to install update?

No you don't need root to install it, you need a recovery mode like CWM or TWRP (hope that's the name). If you're from the region where the official update is available ota, no you don't need root or costume recovery, you can update via Kies. If you will flash the ROM from sammobile site via recovery (ex. CWM) and you have root, you will lose it becouse that's the official ROM from Samsung and it's not already rooted, but you can reroot , your device. Look in to the Android Development category to finde out more about rooting and flashing ROMs or Kernels. I recommend you to read more about rooting and flashing ROMs becouse you can brick your device easily, so take care.

Wrong section, this should be in Q&A.
Anyway, the problem is that the phone seems to have been rooted or another firmware seems to have been flashed to it. You can download the latest firmware from Samfirmware.com and then flash it through Odin (Many guides available online and on YouTube). That'll help your phone get to the latest updated firmware.

Hi guys,
I have a GT-i9505 and I really want to flash to a more updated stock rom from my carrier, my current build is JDQ39.I9505XXUAMDM, I am on a T-Mobile contract (phone always says EE though) and want to flash from the BTU unbranded rom to T-Mobile UK... I cannot find a ROM for T-Mobile UK though........

Stay with the BTU ones, the ones from Carrier get updated very very slowly. Even my Carrier didn't receive 3 รก 4 updates for i9505.
Ok, but my point being that the carrier ones have received 2/3 updates in the time since my last one, my last one being April...

the latest firmware for T-mobile (EE) is ME2 http://www.hotfile.com/dl/223630332/b11f79b/I9505XXUAME2_I9505EVRAMDB_EVR.zip.html but for the unbranded BTU is MDM (older)
you can flash any new unbranded firmware MEA or MF8
Would I be able to flash that t mobile firmware? Thanks.

EDIT: to take a look of latest official firmwares HERE
Thanks samersh72, flashed the ME2 stock, all working here.
Ive rooted my SGS5 GT-I9505, un-installed some preinstalled app but now when I try to do an OTA it gives me the error: Your Device is modified, no software update available, Someone answered my question abut it and it seems that I need to install Unroot my phone. Base on the artice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477 it says that I need to Flash Carrier Network, My question is do you have stock firmaware for my carrier. Im using Globe (Philippines). How do I do that? Thanks.

[Q] Upgrading the firmware for a different country

Hello to all, I have a UK/BTU Note 3 and the kitkat update has not been out yet. I was wondering if I should update my phone with another country official firmware but I am not sure.
What are the cons of doing it?
Will I be able to have OTA updates after or I must download and flash updates myself?
Are there any other pros except that I will not have to wait more for the update? Are the firmware for some countries better than others? I heard that Poland's firmware is working better than any other?
Thank you very much

U will get update threw OTA only from country u flash, if u want to come back to BTU u must flash threw Odin, u waited for long & today branded UK firmware start seeding so it should not tack much longer time for BTU now, yes poland firmware is the one getting flash without issues of size & its stable also.

Thank you for clarifying it! if I remember correctly, 2 months ago on sammobile forums someone told me that I could not get OTA updates If I flash a different country firmware.
Are you sure I will be able to do it?
Maybe I will flash the polish firmware if I get Poland's OTA's because as I know Poland is always getting the updates first.
So it would be better for the future to get the updates without waiting so long...
Also as I see on sammobile there are two 4.4.2 firmware for Poland. Which one should I choose? (tried, but I cannot post links yet as I am new to the forum, sorry)
I Am 99% sure but I will ask anyway, flashing official Samsung firmware does not void my guaranty, am I correct?
My mobile is from uae, I flash first A6 Poland firmware at launch after that received ota of poland latest B3, My knox is 0x0, I hop I answered your questions, feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

Only one left! should I download and flash the B3 or the A6 first?
U can flash directly B3, but for best results clear data & catch before & after flash.

I will try to do this.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477.. i already downloaded odin and trying to download stock from the Philippines but im afraid to do it.. Do you think it's safe to do this?? My current version is 4.3.. Is it okay to do this with my current version??
Or is there any way update my phone without changing rom..
Download your region rom from sammobile.com. Install "mobile odin pro" in your smartphone. Copy extracted rom tar file to your phone internal storage. Flash it with installed MOD Pro and you will have updated 4.4.2 rom with root privileges.
I had problems with CSC and force closing keyboard after update. But later solved it by flashing again just "cache" with MOD Pro.

I should be save the thread is trusted. Don't forget you can't downgrade so if you're on 4.4.2 you can't go back to 4.3 or lower

Flash gone wrong, How to Undo?

I know this might be a noob question but im a noob xD Well i flashed my Note with sweet rom and now there seems to be a lot of problems so i want to get back to stock. How should i continue? Anyone that could link a guide or give me some steps? Would be extremely appreciated
1-Download your stock rom from sammmobile or samsung-updates.
2- boot your phone into recovery and wipe everything.
3- boot into download mode and flash stock rom via odin.

It doesn't really matter unless you want some specific languages. For Swedish I would use a European ROM. English is included in all of them.
The 910H wasn't intended for Europe so there's not going to be any Swedish or European firmware available
