Forcing the Magic to roam.

How can I make my HTC Magic roam on ATT's 3G network instead of Tmobile? We don't have 3G coverage on Tmobile in my home town, but I would like to see if I could get the phone to work on ATT's network. I have rooted my phone and it's not unlocked. If I unlocked the phone could I use the Tmobile SIM card on Att? I've also tried selecting ATT's network, but it won't switch. Thanks for the help.

There is not a way to make your phone show ATT if it is in coverage range of T-Mobile plus the 3G network on att uses a differenty frequency than Tmobile does so even putting a ATT sim in an unlocked mytouch or g1 would not show 3G.
I feel your pain i am waiting for cincy to get 3G as well.

[Q] Carrier question

Stupid question. I noticed my Verizon note 3 has Global, LTE, and GSM radio modes. Does this mean if I unlock the sim, I can use this on say T-Mobiles network? Or how I would go about finding out which carriers it would work on? If it can work on say T-mobile, how would you get things like WIFI calling working?

Verizon G2: Restricted Access Changed - TMo SIM

Got this error message when using a TMo SIM in a Verizon G2. I've only seen one thread about this for the G2.
Verizon G2s are SIM unlocked, right? So it shouldn't be a problem? I can put the TMo SIM in a TMo branded S2 and get full bars. I even tried the same SIM in a Verizon Galaxy S3 and got full bars.
I'm on VS98012B
As a follow up, I went into available networks and this time, TMobile at AT&T show up. I tried setting it to WCDMA and GSM but it wont register on the TMobile network.
This is a location that I can normally get LTE.
The VERIZON model is GSM unlocked. Says your on 12B so you should be good. You should be able to just pop and go. I don't have much experience with it but you would have to select GSM in the Network Settings.

G900P unlocked but can't get T-mobile data

I got my SM-G900P phone Internationally and Domestically unlocked, and while I can get voice to work on a T-mobile sim, I am unable to get data to work.
I'm currently on the stock Sprint 5.0 rom, I have also rooted the device.
I have also added the T-mobile APN, and have the network set to T-mobile, but still no luck
I'm not sure what I should do to get the mobile data to work.
Wondering if I flash a T-mobile rom, would that brick the phone? And would that unlock the bands?
Any and all help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
bump for some help
I know Sprint operates on CDMA while T-Mobile uses GSM technology.
I don't know if the G900P has the hardware capabilities to operate on GSM LTE bands. But it is interesting that you got the voice to work!
Try this page. He had a Verizon (CDMA) phone and got it to work on the AT&T (GSM) network. So apparently it is possible, and your situation is similar in trying to use a cdma phone on a gsm network.

Thanks for the link!
I already had tried what he did previously, adding the APN, sadly that didn't work for me . And once I had unlocked the phone I enabled GSF and got the voice to work. But sadly that's the farthest I've gotten

AT&T lte not working

International version rooted and unlock on 10.5
So I'm having problems with lte on my att sim card the slot #2 is running tmobile lte with no problems but the at&t will only connect to the 3g signal
Is there something Im missing I'm suppose to say when I call at&t? Already talked to someone who helped me get to this point (at first it wouldn't even connect to the internet)
