Got this error message when using a TMo SIM in a Verizon G2. I've only seen one thread about this for the G2.
Verizon G2s are SIM unlocked, right? So it shouldn't be a problem? I can put the TMo SIM in a TMo branded S2 and get full bars. I even tried the same SIM in a Verizon Galaxy S3 and got full bars.

As a follow up, I went into available networks and this time, TMobile at AT&T show up. I tried setting it to WCDMA and GSM but it wont register on the TMobile network.
This is a location that I can normally get LTE.
The VERIZON model is GSM unlocked. Says your on 12B so you should be good. You should be able to just pop and go. I don't have much experience with it but you would have to select GSM in the Network Settings.

VZW G2 error that I can't get rid of (No service, select network unavailable-AT&T)
So I was playing around with my LG G2 in order to test the GSM functionality of it (I maybe traveling in the near future), moved the mode from Global to GSM/UMTS, told it to scan for networks here in the US and found AT&T and T-Mobile 2G & 3G (I live in a re-farmed major metro area). I selected AT&T to see if it could connect with the VZW SIM card in the US and obviously it couldn't (authentication denied). Now I have a problem I can't get rid of: I put it back on Global mode and everything with the CDMA/LTE mode on VZW works but I have a message in my task bar of of the following:
No service
Selected network (AT&T) unavailable
I rebooted the phone and cleared the warnings and it still stays after reboots.
Right now I'm thinking the only way to get rid of it is to insert an active AT&T SIM card and let it run on AT&T. I don't have one right now but I can get one from someone in the family.
Would this help in clearing it?
It's really only a minor problem. It would really only be apparent if I needed to service this phone in a VZW store or send it back to VZW.
And yes the software/firmware is updated to the latest version.

I have a galaxy s5 G900A that I had unlocked and I put a tmobile sim card in it. Anytime I am outside of tmobile service my phone will show that I have bars but I can't use voice text or data. I try to connect to at&t or Verizon's network to roam and it won't connect. Is there something I missed when unlocking that will allow my sim to roam on another network? Or is this something tmobile is doing wrong on thier end? My girlfriends galaxy s4 has the same problem.
I'm getting a Verizon phone soon used. I understand I can get everything working on my att sim card but it would be HSPA+? Just change the settings in network mode GSM/umts is this correct?
I just got my S8 unlocked from Sprint, the UICC says it's unlocked for all sims in the settings. But I've tried both an AT&T sim and a T-mobile sim. The tmobile splash screen comes up and it even shows the tmobile phone number in my about phone settings, but I can't get any data or calling or anything to work. Same for AT&T. It even says AT&T up in the top as carrier but nothing works.
Do I need to do something like flash it, or is it possible they only did international unlock is why this is happening? Or is it because I still have Sprint service on the phone? All I know is in settings area for UICC it says any sim will work, but it's not working.

Sometimes service is dependant on the apn settings. Check those and make sure network settings are swapped to global. Also radio switcher app.
Lastly the sprint firmware may not have needed bands enabled. These are all the things to check first
I'm trying to use this (Zt500kl) with metropcs and it refuses to recognize the sim. No bars on the reception. Apn automatically sets itself to tmobile, and I've added metro's but that didn't work.
I've read the main lte bands tmobile/metropcs are supported and the tablet is unlocked so I have no idea why it's not working. There is an even a post on here from years ago with someone saying they threw a tmobile sim in without any problems.
