Hello guys! My previous phone was a lumia 800 , when i plug it in via usb to my pc , zune will automatically recognize it and sync my music and pictures without even pushing a button. i cant find any software for doing this with my g2. do you guys know how to achieve that?

I've had my HD2 for 2 weeks now and its been working perfectly. I decided to hard reset my phone and start again from scratch. However, now when I connect it to my PC it doesn't connect or recognise it at all, it charges though. I also tried it on my laptop, thinking it might be my PC but its just the same. This is really frustrating and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Goto "Start/Menu/All Settings/Connections/USB to PC" and ensure ActiveSync button is green.
If you are running Vista or Win7 you have to install Windows Mobile Device Center. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx
If not the normal Active Sync will not see the phone.
Hey guys. I know this a old thread. I notice ever since I used the program here to change the radio on my htc hd2 that my computer no longer detects my phone with snyc cable even if I have Windows Mobile Center 6.1 installed an such. The programs pop up though when I look on device manager there no unknown devices or anything. In fact I don't even hear a sound of any sort that a usb device was plug into my pc same thing on my laptop. I even put back original tmobile rom on my htc hd2 no resolve. When I fflash it with Leoimg.tbh or how ever you spell it I put it in my sd card. Any ideas on how to get the old phone to work on windows 10 again? or is something mess up in the coding on official rom or on how I flash it back to stock?. I wish I had a old pc with windows vista to see if it just windows 10 or what. Just seems so odd

Hi, guys i have similar problem, but it has nothing to do with Active Sync. The device won't notice that it is connected to the pc (it won't ask (this option is ticket) if it should act as card reader, modem or Active Sync) so as pc won't show new device. Strangely, while the device is connected into an outlet charger via cable including data wires and "don't charge if connected to a pc" option is ticket in hd2, it acts as it is connected to a pc and won't charge. When it is connected to a charger with unseparable cable (which i suppose hasn't have data wires) it starts carkit menu. For me it seems like something is shorted but i'd like to hear some other suggestions before i try to disassemble it and look inside.
found it quite trouble for me, as my T-MOBILE wizard 200 suddenly stop syncing with my PC.
even if it can't sync with PC active sync, but the phone still able to charge via USB port, anyone experience this before?
Some recommended action that i've run so far:
1. uninstall & re-install microsoft activesync 4.5
2. change usb port
3. change with different PC with activesync 4.5
4. hard reset my device
5. Change 3 different usb cable
6. etc
after doing all the thing, but the problem still there, only able to charge via USB port but can't sync

I've had the same issue over and over with my Wiz110...
I don't know why this happens, but it seems to be connected with the ROM-update (USB-connection boot).
My trick was to initiate a RUU on Windows 7 (which normally ends in a stall Bootscreen!) and soft-reboot. After this the XP-driven Machine likely recognized the Wiz as what it is.
Please don't refer on this if you bricked your Wiz, but this was my solution...

i was looking for thread about my problem, i saw some similar problems, solved but not working for me..
i was connected to my PC through USB cable, transfering data few times, about 5 times, than i tried to connect to transfer some more data and nothing, on my tattoo there is just sign of charging and nothing else, no asking for type of connection, there is sound on my PC (connected something through USB ) and nothing else.. i tried to manually set for storage device, put to ask me each time when i connect via USB and still nothing.. also, tried USB DEBUGGING, it says that htc is connected to PC but PC is like dead..
i'm on windows 7 if that means something, thank you for you help
pls anything ?? i have pics to transfer to PC and mp3 for tattoo but i just can't solve this out :S
I had the same problem when I just got my first android. My first guess is - you accidentally killed PC Synchronization process on your phone. Reboot should help (at least it did for me).

put pc sync into taskiller ignore list...

also still have this problem the sync does not happen automatically so what i do is after connecting my phone via USB i go to the USB to pc on my Phone and click on the HTC sync and then the sync happens and i can do any kinda data sync needed try doing it it work for me
USB Debugging also has to be cheked OK
i also have a Wmo Jade this does not happen it sync imm but on the tattoo it always happens and i need to do the above to get the sync working
hey i have a hd2 that i cant use the touchscreen or the buttons,
but does boot up, iv tried mymobiler but cant seem to get it to conenct as i think i need to select the active sync option on the phone for when i plug the usb lead in,
but for obvious reasons i cant, any way around that toget mymobiler to work with out having to select anything on the phone?

My dad has a Blade A610 and he wants to transfer his pics onto his laptop (Win10). The problem is, when I connect the phone via USB, it's charging, but the laptop doesn't recognize it as a storage. Also the phone doesn't make any moves in terms of notification or open up a menu, where I can choose how I want to use the connection right now.
When I connect my Sony Z3C via the same cable, everything works.
Does anyone else have this problem or more importantly: a solution?
