I've installed Lollipop on my Galaxy S5. All is okay except the heads up not working. I searched all the settings but I can't find an option that enables/disables that. Anyone can help me?

I don't think there's anything to do, it just works for me with hangouts, whatsapp and evolvesms. Guess it's up to the Devs.

Heads up by the stock sms is displaying...but is it really normal that heads up notifications disappear after a single tap of the screen?? What's the point of havinga heads up notification that quickly disappears -.-
Edit:
It turns out the popup of the stock messaging app is not really a heads up notification -.-

Hi All,
Hopefully a quick one for you. I have recently installed cyanogen 6.0.2.1 and I'm loving it so far.
However one thing I'm missing is the notification of unread messages on the message icon.
I have the "messages" shortcut added to my ADW bar, and when I receive a new message I was expecting it to have a little (1) next to it like some of the other OS I've tried.
Been through the options and can't seem to find anything, is there a way to add this functionality?
Thanks in advance for any help

ADWNotifier. That is obviously assuming you haven't edited the rom and are using ADW which comes with it...

Yep that's what I was looking for. Thanks
And (if) you switch to LauncherPro, there is a setting for it as well. [Not hijacking, just informing in advance in case you decide to switch launchers]
Well not necessarily hijacking at all...good on you tbh, cuz anyone who's using launcher pro will know now

It is quite simple but has each page has different menu settings it is easily overlooked.
Toggle to the chats page. Then hit the menu button bottom left. Then settings.
Go into notifications and move down to popup notification. Check always show popup.
Notifications now show even when phone sleeps.

Very true Paul, too many pages and too many setting on Notification page.. It was exactly as you said.. I simply missed that option.. Thanks a lot :highfive:
So Im pretty sure that this goes in this forum if not im so sorry lol. Anyways I had just rooted my phone and what not and I have moved away from the stock texting app to the textra app. I LOVE TEXTRA! There is only one really really really annoying thing about it though. When I get a text from someone I have multiple notification icons in my notification bar if it is from more than one person. Is there anyway to fix this? For example I could have like 50 text with the stock messaging app but only one notification icon up top. If I have 50 text in textra ill have 50 notification icons up to. PLEASE HELP!
I'm not 100% sure if I get what you're saying, but I would say try disabling the stock messenger app, if you want the 50 notifications. If you only want one notif. for all the texts like the stock messenger I'd say look around in the Textra settings. hope I helped
Open up the stock messaging app, go to settings, uncheck "notifications". Then you'll only get notifications via your other messaging app.

As you can see in the picture, I have 4 text messages and 4 separate notification icons in my status bar telling me I have a text from each individual person. If I were using a stock messaging app however, It would only appear as one notification icon in my status bar. Is there anyway to fix this? I hope this clears up some confusion
I think that would be how the app is designed correct me if im wrong though email the dev?

I am using apex launcher and the icon pack is tendere
I really want to like Textra, but there's another annoying feature.
If you're on a call and you get a text, if your notification is set to vibrate, your phone will vibrate in your ear as you're talking.
I've emailed the dev and he said he might fix it.
I would like to use Dasclock widget on my default lockscreen, but it's kind of useless now with the sms popups overrunning the default lockscreen widget. It's already annoying enough not to have expanded widget by default (like in so many note2 roms). Does anyone know how to disable the popups from lockscreen/how to enable expanded lockscreen widget always on?
I have rooted N9005
Thanks.
Did you try disabling notifications in the text app?

Thanks for answer.
Yes I have and it kills the popup, but also the sound alert and the notification bar. So that's not the solution for me.
I would like to have notifications in the DashClock widget and in the notification bar and the sound..and man i would love to have the Dashclock expanded by default, the collapsed version seem kinda useless imo.
- Got rid off lockscreen notifications with an app called SMS Popup. Now if only someone would know a way to expand widgets by default. Has anyone tried Xposed with note 3? I'm little hesitant to give it a try..

Using xposed with mine right now. Quite a few modules running with no issues. Haven't tried anything like what you are wanting to do though.

Hi, I notice that lollipop stock introduces heads up notifications. I hate them! Is there a method to disable it? I saw this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ble-heads-notifications-t3032442/post58887824) but it functions also in Samsung Rom.

This is the best you can find about it. I am using it in the leaked stock rom V30a and it works perfectly. In this way the annoying heads up dissapear and instead of them you will see the old small and nice icon on the status bar, the same like kitkat. I recommend you. Of course, you need to have installed Xposed Frame.

With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!
