The camera is a 4MP sensor. There's nothing you can do about it
Group Messaging and Quick Settings in the notification bar.
"AirDroid" integration or similar app/feature ..
when I am working on my computer at home it would be nice to get some notifications on my computer and to have the ability to send messages etc. from my pc, so I don't always have to switch over to the phone to read the messages etc.
Long press back for menu.
Quick reply for SMS.
Notification quick settings.
CIFS (i can dream) support.

Battery percentage optional icon in notification bar
Integration of email and sms into Blinkfeed.
Option to jump back to top on Blinkfeed. Currently, lots of upscrolling is needed.
Settings controls or shortcuts in pull-down notification bar. Similar to blackberry and Samsung phones

What's CIFS? Agreed, quick reply for SMS would be handy and notification quick settings would be amazing.

I believe you can press the home button to jump to the top of Blinkfeed, but I am not 100% certain as I do not have the HTC One yet. Will probably get it early April

Only if it's your default home screen.
I would love to see the notification bar made black on all home screens.
If you go to an app or the settings menu, then go home again (not Blinkfeed) the transition from black to clear really isn't nice.
Also I want to turn off IME switcher and power save notifications!!

I just hope its a 4.2.2 release and they don't take forever to update the device.

Press the status/notification bar at the top to go to the top of the list. I would like an option for horizontal scrolling, hold back for menu and the option to delete the blinkfeed page. & add it back if wanted as a new page.
Ignore
So with sense 5 you can't have battery percentage in the top bar... wtf?
1. option to add contents to blinkfeed.
2. Notification toggles.
3. Quick Reply SMS.
4. Notification quick settings
5. Return back the missing lockscreen themes(Clock, FM Radio, People)
6. Photo sphere
And bonuses would be...
7. Multi window, S-Pen(using glass cutter as a pen), S-Health, eye tracking, Smart Stay, Snake, Space impact, bantumi, pairs, bounce, AI intelligence to the point your phone has a brain of it's own, make grub as bootloader, Can quad boot(windows, linux, android, tizen), 100mile radius bluetooth for free calls and texts, can make your brain as a cloud storage
1. Long pres menu option
2. Stability
3. Speed
4. More content for blinkfeed
As the title says, I want to remove the message preview widget on the lockscreen. If i turn ON the message preview (under Messages->Settings->Preview message) i get the message widget showing the sender and the message text, if i turn the preview off i still get the message widget but this time it just shows the sender as "Messaging" and the message text as "New message".
I have attached 2 screenshots showing both screens.
I have tried with the "Multiple widgets" option turned on and off with the same result.
However if i completely turn message notifications off (Messages->Settings->Notifications), it goes away, but then i dont get any notifications of messages.
Is there any way to just turn off that lockscreen widget but still have the normal notifications like the S2 and S3?
Thanks in advance
Bump !!
I desperately want to know the answer to this. What's the point of lock screen widgets like dashclock etc if the horrible TW notifications take priority and appear over the top !
Anyone found the answer to this ?
Bump this is a rather stupid feature. I want to be able to read my preview n notifications without it going on lockscreen

In the messaging app if you go to settings and scroll down, just untick "preview message"? You won't get previews on lockscreen or status bar BUT you should still get normal notifications in status bar.

As i said if i untick that option, it just displays generic text on the lockscreen widget, as shown in my screenshot. I don't want the lockscreen widget to be displayed at all, but still keep normal notifications for messages.
This is a lockscreen widget created by Samsung.
You can press and hold you finger on it and put it on the trash.

I tried that also, it doesnt work. It only works for lockscreen widgets you added manually, like music player etc.
I see missed calls also appear in the annoying widget, and its location is to the right of the main lockscreen, all manually added lockscreens are to the left of the main lockscreen.
Bump! I would also like to know the answer to this question!

Unfortunately I don't think you can remove it. I also dont like it, why cant I just click on the notification to launch the messaging app? Why display that stupid empty box?
I think i've exhausted all options to get rid of it, our only hope is that Samsung allows us the option to disable it on their next firmware.
Use a different lock screen.......

Bump. Would love to know how to disable the damn thing.
I've set up Dash Clock to replace the stock lockscreen widget, but every time I get a message or a missed call it reverts back to the ugly default Samsung widget.
I suspect that an update will fix it. It looks as if it was unfinished.

Sorry to bump this but I was searching for this issue...well, the music app displaying on the lock screen issue to be exact.
Even when I end the app through the task manager and the clearing of ram memory it will still show up for a good 5 or 10 minutes on my lock screen, sometimes sporadically. It's annoying and incredibly ugly (to me). I've reset my phone twice thinking maybe there was an issue I caused for it to still show up even when not in use.
Hopefully Samsung allows us to keep the music player from showing on the lock screen. And yes, I know I can use a 3rd party app but I prefer the stock, other than this issue.

Bump.
Would also really like to know the answer to this. I've got Dash Clock set up to do everything, but the ugly TW widget keeps taking over, seems kind of pointless.
I found an apk in the /system/app/ directory called NotificationWidget.apk which seemed promising, but after deleting it the TW widget is still there. Surely they wouldn't have baked it right into the framework?
When I get a text, I noticed neither the Notification window nor the lockscreen will say whom it is from.
If you are in the notification panel you can click the notification and it will take you to the SMS app where you can see who sent the message, but if you click on it in the lockscreen all you get is an empty pop-up window in the newly-created lockscreen page.
Is everyone else experiencing this?
Neat new feature, the lockscreen pages, but I think the interaction with SMS messages is a miss... perhaps they released it before testing that.

It will probably get fixed in the next build, but those are usually few and far between when dealing with Samsung and AT&T.

That setting is checked, although even when that is enabled, it shows on the lockscreen but it doesnt open the SMS app when you click it. Only an extra transparent window opens up in the lock screen.

Just pull down on the lock screen and it would let you tap it and then it will take you to the message..
Or when the message is first receive you can tap it
Works for me

Try swiping within thr box (as it says) to open messages. It is so you dont accidentally 'read' the message in your pocket.

How this works is when you get a text. Click on the text on the lock screen. A transparent box opens. Whem that box opens swipe your finger in that box. It will take you directly to the text from that person to respond. It works as its intended.

i miss the preview message on my lg optimus g that would give you a little preview of what is in the text, that way i can choose if i want to answer it or not from the lock screen instead of going all the way into the messaging app. also if you get a text message and unlock the phone, at the bottom the text message icon has no number showing how many text messages waiting while in the notification bar it says i have a text waiting.

Preview in Notification but NOT Lock Screen
So I like seeing the SMS preview (name and first line of text) in my notification bar pull down, but not on the lock screen. That's just kinda weird to me, they should be separate. I don't want anyone to preview my messages whyile my phone is password or pattern locked.
Anyone have a clue how to configure this???
I know someone else with an S4 and they claim they never had this notification on the lock screen when they received a text, only the little icon in the alert bar. All of a sudden it started showing up on the lock screen for them. They don't have the option enabled to preview the texts, was a way every found out to disable this without a third party app? I wasn't even aware some people didn't have it, it's always been on mine and never bothered me.

There's an option in Messaging>settings, scroll down to 'notification settings', then 'preview message' - show a preview of received messages on the status bar and lock screen. Mines ticked and I get the lock screen text notification, so I assume if you untick you won't. I find it quite useful as it can be hard to see the small one in the status bar.

Her's isn't ticked and neither is mine. All that does is show part of the message on the lock screen, disabling it still shows the alert on the lockscreen, just as "New Message".

I'm still on stock firmware, not sure what she is on or even what carrier she's using. The only thing she said she did was install the Jellybean keyboard and that's when she noticed the notification, but I don't see how that would enable the message alert.

Was thinking more of Samsung firmware version rather than stock/custom ROM.
As per the different versions in the link below. These are the updates that Samsung push out if you're on stock.
