Note 3 - TWRP and Stock Recovery - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys
This probably a newbie question, hope somebody will be able to enlighten me on this.
Once, I installed TWRP on my Note3, can I still flash official note 3 rom (from sammobile) using ODIN? or it must be restored/flash using TWRP?
Also, once I restored/flash the note3 stock/ official rom - firmware, do I lost twrp and have to install it again ?
Thanks.

Yes. You can still flash the official firmware using Odin. And yes, you will loose twrp and have to install it again. And you posted in the Note 4 forum.

Thanks and sorry for posting on note4 section, I was confuse

[Q] I need assistance please!

I want to update my i9505 to the latest android 4.3 through Odin but I don't want the new Knox bootloader, could someone please give me any instructions of how I could achieve this? I don't want to install the "custom" stock roms.
*EDIT*: Could someone also give me instructions on how to compile the edited firmware.
I tried to Google it but to no avail.
I shall be grateful to anyone who helps.

In order to remain on your old bootloader you will need to root. Any reason why you don't want to? Root, install a custom recovery then flash the pre rooted rom. They are stock based.

Thank you for your reply, I'm rooted with custom recovery. However I wish to create myself a Odin copy for emergency purposes, I currently have the official MGA firmware update for Odin. I want to create a Odin flash-able firmware update without the new bootloader,
EDIT: After going through the thread all the firmware files include the new know bootloader ;(
As far as I know you can't flash via odin. I suggest you flash the CWM version this has no bootloader. As your already rooted using the knox free cwm version is the safest bet at the moment.

No modem, you can install that separately via Odin as we can't flash modems using CWM. It contains stock rom and stock kernel.

Your KNOX will always 0x1, so at first download official firmware from sammobile.com than download odin, in AP choose your extracted firmware md5 file and flash it after successfully flashing it must say PASS! when your phone finishes booting go to recovery and factory reset.

Can I flash directly for Kitkat? Or do I need to flash the original firmware first before I update to kitkat. Sorry for asking too much question newbie here Lol!
no problem if I know I share my opinion you can flash whatever you want, if you want KK or JB but you must know that you can't downgrade kitkat to jellybean so you choose

If you really want to have stock rom instead of gennxt rom, you can initialize your firmware using kies. I did it. Previous it was not possible but now yiu can do so as G7 is available through kies. This lrocess will also unroot your device.
ok thanks Bro… I am trying… .

Everyone knows, even Google. You just have to invest some time and use the forum search, and you shouldn't ask the forum members to do the work for you!!!
