[Q]Software Update on Custom ROM??

Hey guys i dont think this question has been asked before(btw i searched then too) but i wanted to ask that if we have a custom ROM installed on our device, can we still update our ROM from Settings>About Phone>Software Update???

Simple Ans Is No.. if U downloaded Update u can't install it/update failure ......
May B Some Stock Based Custom Rom ...Software update Work ....But Most Of Custom ROM Update Not Working.......

Software updates also doesn't work if ur stock or any rom is rooted
As sir ^ said it will download but while updating it will stuck around 28% and phone will reboot with message "update via kies"

Software updates works fine in rooted stock roms.i had tried it 3 times.
Dont do it with custom roms or deodexed stock roms.

I also tried to update frome settings but after download it error and say to update via kies. So i also think it is not available in custom or any rooted rom.

[Q] HELP generic IMEI 004999010640000

i'm on gt i9500 no backup what to do

give all details
give all the details like why u got generic imei and what did u do to get it, like trying to flash stock rom r custom rom and on wat firmware u are so some one more experienced can help

I have the samw problem
I had when i flash a frimware using odin
I was on stock rom and flashed a stock rom
And i have also no backup of efs
After flashing it my imei changed
How i get my old imei bk please help !

flash MG9 modem twice as "phone" in odin

I flashed a couple of frimwares using odin it didnt fix my wrong imei :
Does flashing this modem will fix it ?
Anything else i should do nefore flashimg this modem that u told me about ?
And can u pls be kind and give me a link to the modem u told me about ?
Also i cam flash this modem om what ever frimware im on ?

flash it twice as "phone" in odin, first flash untick "auto-reboot", when it pass, remove battery, insert it, flash modem second time.
it should work regardless of what firmware

Any luck Im not able to work on this till Monday so any feed back is nice

Try to flash stock rom with odin. You can download stock rom from sammobile.

need to unroot Samsung note 4 N910 g

i had rooted my device some days before and never flashed custom rom so please help me to do unroot my device my mobile version is N910 G (india) please guide me. this help will be appreciable

Just flash the stock rom from of odin. That's it.

after watching a video on YouTube i did whatsoever dictate there
go to SuperSU> Setting > Clean Up> full unroot.
after doing that i reset my phone then after i tried to get official update but unfortunately i got same message that your device is modified unauthorized way. go to service center.
what i supposed to do now i am exhausted :'( no proper help i got while there are lots of experts exists. disappointed
i want to download official Marshmallow

Just download the official stock rom of you model from sammobile.com and flash it through odin.you are done.

Hello,
Urgent help required. My note 4 is running Dr. Ketan's rom on Marshmallow. I need to unroot to get a hardware problem fixed, but i've never tried it before. I know I need to use SuperSu but I don't have a boot / recovery image. Can someone please help me. Will be exceedingly grateful.

And i couldnt find the same firmware in sammobile so is it ok if i flash this firmeware da:N910FXXS1DPE7 ?
