Anyone else using Jaybird bluebuds? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been having this frustrating problem with my headset and it keeps skipping, cutting in and out when I play music.
Anyone else encounter this?
Thanks.

Yea i use em, no problems here. Try another device/phone, could be faulty buds.
Also see how far you can be from your device until it completely stops, should be able to go a few metres. If it cuts out completely sooner than that, then it could be a reception problem with either the buds or device.

Only happens occasionally I am out walking on the streets and when i am at certain spots where there's interference. Otherwise works great!

Yes! That's my issue! Certain spots on the street. I wish I knew why.

Could be interference affecting the handshaking protocols and unable to recover.

HD2 locked calls people and switches songs.

Hey guys!
My HTC HD2 is showing some strange behaviour lately. When I go cycling and turn on some music with the music tab (earpieces plugged in (creative ep-830)), it starts switching songs and even switching in to like 1.30 of a different song all of a sudden. Plus it starts calling people all of a sudden. It could be my pocket, which could be thight but I'm afraid not. When I go jogging I'm wearing wide training pants which give absolutely NO pressure on the phone but still it starts calling people and switching songs or in between songs. Could this be because of the accelerometer or something?
I hope somebody recognizes this problem and is able to assist me.
Thanks in advance!
Any help guys?
Come on, surely someone must know a solution?
I don't know a solution, but I've had the problem and found the following helps.
face the screen away from your body. it seems that body heat can activate the screen. I find that in a suit jacket having the screen facing towards me can cause the problems you indicate.

Hmm, I'll try this out, but also I've had it in a bag once like this: http://www.essaco.com/images/product/images/11576.jpg , but it showed the same behaviour. I'll try your solution because I indeed always have the screen facing towards my body.
Thanks for your help! I'll report the results soon!
Im also having this situation.. Very annoying, the HD2 just calls people. It's a bit expensive for me now, as it happens really often.
I just got it last week, and now it does it often.. :S
its not the screen guys, its your headphones. the remote-control connectors in the plug input is receiving some signals it shouldn't. try wearing a different set of headphones and see if the problem is still there.
I had also same problem on one of Energy ROMS. Strange thing was that it occured ony when my headphones where connected.
Once when i changed them into HTC ones and installed never energy rom problem dissapeared

Only seen with some headphone plugs and not all. If you make sure they are well fitted in, and clean the contacts as well as you can, you should be able to make them work (happened to me once with a pair which wasn't used for long - oxidated contacts - and a car radio cassette adapter's plug which wasn't fitted all the way in). If you can't you just need to try another couple of headphones.
by the way, this also happens when the headphones are inserted or disconnected from the device... would be nice with a fix to disabke the remote control input completely!

TomTom showing wrong position

Hello,
I have TomTom 7 installed there were times where it would show me at like 500meters away from the actual position...
One time it was working fine and then suddenly it just jumped to the side of the road...
Today I was playing music with Sense player and opened TomTom and it was like 500m to the right of the road I was... I closed and opened it again and the problem was still there. Then I stopped the music and opened TomTom and it was fine... Music again, TomTom again and it was still fine... Not sure if the music playing has any effect.
Any idea?
Hi... it did not happen for my case. It is not TOMTOM problem... For me, it only happens when I use tomtom in the city area with a lot of high buildings. They interfere the satellite signal.
how can you listen the voice navigation while it plays music?

I had like 7 satellites I think... And I was on an highway without any buildings around.
The TomTom lady talks loud And I was just testing
The music could be the problem. Because the symptom is quite similar to that when I drive in city area: strong signals but poor accuracy...
So I think the signal might be interfered... Have you tried making phone calls while use tomtom?
No, not phone calls...
I never used tomtom, but u should be able to change geode or coordinate system to WSG84 in options, try this and see if it helps
ive had the same problem several times. when ive only had tomtom running! and on 2 diferant hd2's...
This occasionally happens to all GPS receivers and is due to interference caused by solar flares messing around with the earths magnetic field. Until we fix the blasted sun and it's irritating solar flare issue, this will affect all phones and send you into cow fields full of dung.

So it is a "normal" thing then... I tough it was because of the fact that the player was using more CPU or something...

It could be estimating your position using agps if you cannot get a good signal, try turning off agps, that way you will either have gps signal or not..

[Q] Music seems to skip with bluetooth

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has faced a similar issue.
When using Bluetooth for music (HBH IS800) and i have the phone in my pocket, it skips when i walk.
it does sound funny, but if i stand still it stops skipping.
it is inconsistent of when it skips but it only skips when the phone is in my pocket and i am walking.
I have had the same thing happen to me with 3 different bluetooth headsets and two seperate Incredibles. Drives me NUTS! Verizon says to reset the phone, but that isn't going to do anything to fix the problem. It is definitely some sort of software issue. Also, you are correct in that when it is sitting still, it plays just fine.
Oh, one thing I found that works is if I use my phone case and put the clip on my shirt collar, works just fine! That's just not the way I like to walk though!

[Q] music stops when signal drops?

I've noticed that when I'm on the subway listening to music and my signal drops the music cuts out for a second. it does this also when the signal has been re-established as well. I've tried multiple media players, played with any settings I could think of but I'm very new to Android so I'm sure I'm missing something. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? currently I've been enabling Airplane mode when getting on subways, but I'd rather not have to.
I posted about this earlier, it's the cell-signal-found alert cutting into your audio. Short of turning on Airplane Mode there's nothing you can do on wired headphones to avoid it.
You CAN go around the issue with Bluetooth headphones, which for whatever reason don't get interrupted. Sucky solution I know but it works.
Am I really the only one here with this problem? could it be a hardware issue? I have a hard time believing there isn't a software fix for something like this.

oops, looks like we both replied at the same time. that is sucky, but thanks. At least I know I didn't break anything

Frequent Audio Dropout

Anyone else getting repeated - and VERY frustrating - audio dropout? For me, it's happening incessantly with PocketCasts and Audible, but it would probably apply to other apps if I used them (I'm kind of a words-not-tunes guy!). There's a tiny little pop then the sound just stops. To get it back you have to pause and resume. Sometimes it takes a few attempts to get it going again. Sometimes, it requires a hard reboot of the phone altogether.
The WEIRD thing is that this isn't an audio focus issue. These apps continue to "play" all the while when they go silent. They don't pause. When they resume, I've missed stuff and have to rewind (more frustration!). Which makes me think it's to do with the overall audio system, rather than another app interfering with whatever I'm listening to.
So, this can happen anytime. But it does tend to happen more when I pocket my 6P. I thought maybe it's a proximity sensor thing, maybe the TGSP I'm using. But calls are fine, so I don't think it's that. Maybe it's an accelerometer thing? Maybe Fit is interfering? Who knows... ?
Anyone else experienced this, or got any solutions?

Are you using a Bluetooth headset or have it connected to a Bluetooth device when this happens?

No. No Bluetooth whatsoever, which is a bit alarming. And its not Fit because I uninstalled that - I already know I'm in perfect physical form - don't need my phone to tell me that Really can't figure it out and its becoming a bit RMA-y
