Did you mean different versions of baseband?
Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser', clear the CSC textbox (leave it blank) and tap Go button to see a list of available firmwares for your phone model. Tap on each item (firmware) to see its details (Country, CSC, MODEM etc...)

I'm in the USA with SGS5 model SM-G900F. I see all the stock firmwares here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G900F
I see my firmware version on the list, but there are several Regions that match my firmware. How can I tell which firmware Region I currently have?
..
I couldn't find my region code anywhere in the settings. Using the app you linked, I was able to see my CSC code: DTM Germany
Awesome, thanks a lot

Yes, DTM is T-Mobile Germany.
You can use the 'CSC Lookup' tool (in the Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app --> Menu) to interpret the CSC code to the readable country/region/network name.

Did you flash the firmware that was incompatible with your device?
You didn't tell what is your original CSC and what is the CSC you are using to flash?
Try to reflash the stock firmware for your device.
Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to know your CSC, and also to obtain the stock firmware for your device (Menu > 'Firmware Browser').
IMEI / Baseband null

ZZH mean TGY, it is the CSC for Hong Kong firmware. This firmware is NOT compatible with all other version of Note 3.
If you don't know what is your original CSC, you can post all screenshots from the app, and we will try to guess it.

Hello, had same problem, as well and managed to fix it. Did you solve this?
To solve IMEI NULL (assume using stock ROM):
1. Download the modem from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475714
2. Go to download mode
3. Open ODIN and flash the modem only.

OK, your device is international Note 3 and you have flashed firmware for Note 3 Hong Kong. These firmwares are not compatible to each other, so it did brick your device.
Your original CSC is XSI (United Arab Emirates)
Try to download stock firmware for XSI and reflash it using Odin or Kies.
To obtain download link, open 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser', enter XSI in the CSC textbox, press Go button to search and select the firmware to download.
Gud luck.
I went on this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/ref-galaxy-note-3-sm-n9005-gsm-modems-t2842806
and downloaded NG1 modem, that did the trick for me.
Hi all,
I bought my S5 (SM-G900F) online and am now unsure if it is the right model for my area (Australia). Are the models roughly similar enough for me to download a ROM or baseband even for something closer my region or carrier (Telstra) would I be more likely to brick my phone?

You can flash firmware from another models but it is safer to flash firmware for your own model.
Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to download firmware for your device and flash via Kies/Odin.
You can ask your service provider for the supporting frequency bands of your network, and compare with available bands of your phone (see this link or check with *#2263#). If you want, you can even add more bands to your phone.
So there shouldn't be a problem with flashing my SM-G900F with SM-G900I firmware? I just have a slightly lacklustre reception with my 900F and want to see if flashing Telstra's version of the firmware would help in the slightest.
my device s6 edge plus (sm-g928c) there no firmware listed for my country or region what should i do what is the best firmware for my device my country is srilanka asin country thankz you plz help
Try here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G928C and match the version number to the one shown on your phone in recovery.
go to settings and check your model number. Then go to www.sammobiles.com and search for your model number, click it and download it.
do not download firmware of different model numbers.

You both haven't even read(some of parts) the OP's post.
There is no Sri Lanka (SLK) branded G928C firmware out there.
@amanda4321 > I would choose one of the available firmwares of nearest country.

Region doesnt matter yeah? So why they release seperate firmwares for each? Some countries have their own carrier spesific features. So users pick them up by csc codes.
I have G928C and i can flash G928F firmwares(did a lot of times).
The link you provided should be ok though(unknown, MTZ) but that wasnt what he/she asked for.
Device: G928C

Hey y'all,
I've had this S7 Edge International version for a while, and I was wondering if there is any way to improve signal. My internet is slow when I'm not on WIFI, I notice that in certain areas it is good, and most areas is just 1 bar which is meh. Any way to change some settings on the phone to fix this?
what csc are using? I got a France 935 and xfe works OK on AT&T. I did read you don't want to use an AT&T csc as it would be for a snapdragon and mess up a exynos based phone. maybe try BTU

it says UUB
I think that is a multi csc for Latin America. might look around xda about using a different open multi csc. also are u updated to latest firmware. maybe since it is an international grab one from UK that has an updated modem (cp) file.

How do I do this? and does it trip knox?
if you update to an official Samsung version Knox will not trip. look for entries about official Samsung firmware and Odin. I assume that this international s7 edge will not be back in it country of origin. if it was and on a network there you'd get updates. if it is in the United States on AT&T then no updates would be pushed to the phone since they would be for the snapdragon version.

I get updates, it's just software updates though, nothing AT&T pushes afaik.
I meant firmware updates from either Samsung or your carrier. if you use *#12580*369# the first two lines should end in BPHJ. That would be an updated firmware. what do the first two entries say
