I'm in the USA with SGS5 model SM-G900F. I see all the stock firmwares here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G900F
I see my firmware version on the list, but there are several Regions that match my firmware. How can I tell which firmware Region I currently have?
..
I couldn't find my region code anywhere in the settings. Using the app you linked, I was able to see my CSC code: DTM Germany
Awesome, thanks a lot

Yes, DTM is T-Mobile Germany.
You can use the 'CSC Lookup' tool (in the Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app --> Menu) to interpret the CSC code to the readable country/region/network name.

You will need the full UK ROM from Sammobiles or checkfus.
This may give you the Korean CSC, if it does you will need to download the CSC changer for SGS/2/3 from the market and select BTU, this will wipe your data though.

The Turkish ROM contains the CSC for Turkey only I believe, you need to flash the latest ICS from Sammobiles or checkfus and flash through Odin, then change the CSC.
Btw the English ROM is BTU
and another Btw, we haven't got JB for unbranded devices in UK yet, only O2 and Three carrier branded.
when i type *#1234#
i get these
AP : I9300XXBLH1
CP : I9300XXLH1
CSC : I9300ATOBLH1
so which country is my phone right now ?
I don't know the sales code but if you Google Samsung sales code ATO you will be able to find out.
But because you bought it front Turkey there's a 99% chance ATO is Turkey. If you want the English firmware you needs BTU then change the CSC to BTU (English firmware has a few CSCs included)

CSC is not an upgrade path .
Unless you have the full correct HIDSWVER codes phone will not update .
Solution download stock firmware and flash via \ODIN .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
or use CHECKFUS to download any firmware and flash via ODIN .

It is CSC code, not a product code.
If you flash a firmware from another region so the CSC may changed.
But the Original CSC may still unchanged.
You can check the Original CSC, Firmware CSC and Active CSC by using Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app (in the 'CSC INFO' section).,
Thx for the answer but not realy.. my original product code was n9005zkevdh and now n9005zkevd2. How did this happening?

Hi all,
Running a rooted S5 G900F, familiar with odin,
lots of tutorials for upgrading to Marshmallow, which I'm really fed up waiting for,
BUT on Sam mobile firmwares, which one would I need to successfully upgrade my phone in Australia?
Thanks
Doesn't seem to be any specific Australian region ROM for the G900F, so I'd go for BTU (United Kingdom) which is carrier free
See how you get on with that
Use this site instead, no limitations
Code:
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?r=BTU&v=&q=G900F

Try here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G928C and match the version number to the one shown on your phone in recovery.
go to settings and check your model number. Then go to www.sammobiles.com and search for your model number, click it and download it.
do not download firmware of different model numbers.

You both haven't even read(some of parts) the OP's post.
There is no Sri Lanka (SLK) branded G928C firmware out there.
@amanda4321 > I would choose one of the available firmwares of nearest country.

Region doesnt matter yeah? So why they release seperate firmwares for each? Some countries have their own carrier spesific features. So users pick them up by csc codes.
I have G928C and i can flash G928F firmwares(did a lot of times).
The link you provided should be ok though(unknown, MTZ) but that wasnt what he/she asked for.
Device: G928C
Rom: P1
Kernel: SkyHigh v5.6

Baseband: G935FXXU1BPHJ
Bootloader: G935FXXS1BPJ1
these are the information copied from sammobile info app. how you guys note that its from which country or which is the firmware to be selected or we're free to flash any S7E firmware to any S7E?

you are free to flash any firmware on Sammobile u want to. I went from Panama csc tpa to UK csc btu to Italy csc ITV. if u go to search firmware on Sammobile and type what country u are in it will give u your firmware.
the 3 to 4 letters after the model no denote where the firm ware is from.
the letter after that denote whether it is the latest version or older.
you can flash any version you choose but be careful about the boot loader and modem.
the csc contains information from your provider that may be necessary to operate the internet and certain other features.
The boot loader maybe necessary from your country to operate the fingerprint feature, if you do not care about using finger prints then you do not need to worry.
