I m looking for just the stock kernel of the 910f "N910FXXU1ANK4"
How can i get that kernel only not the whole stock rom
Hi Dolphin,
I saw that on the first page in the thread for N4 Echoe Rom v2 there is also a link for downloading just the stock kernel. But downloading from that link require you have the Mega download app. I don't use that app myself, so I haven't verified if the kernel file you need is actually there or not. But you could check it out, if you haven't found the kernel already
I can send you NJ4 if you want it
I would like to have it

You can extract a stock rom. Kernel is inside.

I'm about to flash a kernel and was wondering what I have to do to go back to the stock one. I didn't find a stock flashable kernel in the dev forum but it must be around...
Edit: I'm looking for the stock 2.3.3

easiest newbie method is to just reflash the stock rom
Does a stock kernel just not exist? I don't want to have to change roms to change kernels, if possible.

nandroid backup... or flash CM7, flashing CM7 flashes the stock kernel but it overrides your ROM
I flashed franco kernel, and now i feel stock kernel maybe better.
How can i get it back?
I'm using stock android 4.1.2 and franco kernel (with rooted and unlocked)
As long as you leave the volume mods alone Franco is better than Stock kernel
Or try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796

BTW, thanks
PS : i'm using bricked kernel now =D
I looked around and couldn't find an answer. Is there any way that I can return to stock Kernel? I found a flashable zip of the stock Kernel for JOP40C, is that Kernel the same as the one for JOP40D?
And I can find the stock Kernel, will it be the same as if I had never installed a different Kernel at all?
Thanks.

ok first i installed the SACS CUSTOM ROM then ChronicKernel AOSP-JB4.2 and now my phone starts up slow and it has a hard time loading TWRP some one please help my phone is acting up.
First off this Sac's is a TouchWiz and NOT AOSP ROM.
If you flashed the wrong kernel it won't boot right/well if at all.
I haven't tried Cronic's kernel on TW, and I do know he said it 'should' work on TW but I don't know.
You can try loading ktoonz TW one.
Also.
Were you on MF9 firmware(s) before you flashed?

You can't flash 4.3 because MF9 is 4.2
As for firmware what where you on before you flashed this?
You can always flash the firmware, flash, flash the ROM then flash the kernel and see if it gets going.
Kernel issue

Hello, you have to update your touchwiz rom to MF9 before you root it then you can install Sacs23 custom rom. His rom already comes with a Kernel I think its Agats so you dont ahve to flash any Kernels....so what i would suggest go to settings on your phone and about and check to see if you see MF9 firmware. if it does just go ahead and do a clean install, and you should be good to go.

But I want to try to avoid wiping the device totally, or will I be able to install the ROM without fully wiping my device?
You can extract the kernel from the stock rom.
I think it is a good idea to have a copy of the stock rom in case there is a need to flash back to a stock rom.

Would you be able to tell me how to extract it? I already have a copy of the rom.
Edit - Never mind I got it, Thanks for the help!
If lean kernel has aroma installer then there should be a feature of going back to stock kernel If not then:-
Try pekaka kernel where you've feature of aroma installer and there's a step to revert back to stock kernel.
I usually uses same method to revert back to stock. After that keep backup of your kernel
