Problem with new kernal

hi
is there anyone whocan help in in installing the rom with kenal 2.6.35
i tried few roms like aurora 4.03 and miui (2.6.35) but everytime i get the problem of .... NO NETWORK AND BATTERY STATUS NOT SHOWING
i used clockworkmod 5.5.0.4 for factory reset, cleared cache, cleared dalvikcache but results, every time the same problem persists, kindly help in installing arom with 2.6.35 kernal

sounds like you tired to install over a froyo rom/kernel, did you upgrade to 2.3 official before installing the .35 recovery and rom?

i am using miui from the last few months now, i installed cyanagen , all these roms are based on 2.3 and at present i am using miui_u8800_2.2.24 andi tried to install rom from this rom only, i dont use froyo, but still the problem persists,
can u help

You need to install OFFICIAL 2.3.5 if you want to use .35 kernel ROMs (new CM7.2, Aurora, new MIUI...). It is not enough if you just install a custom 2.3 ROM beacuse older 2.3 ROMs use .32 kernel, so you need to update to official 2.3.5 which also changes some other files so you can use .35 kernel and from official you can go to .35 kernel custom ROMs.

i installed official 2.3.5 but now there is no imei and when i try to load into pink screen to change the recovery, it is not mounting, seems there r no files in it,
please help
and also when i revert back to 2.2 it shows files in boot screen in boot loader (pink Screen) and there i can change the latest recovery 5.5.0.4 but again the problem is back to .32, is there any way i can install only kernel to first change from .32 to .35 and then try to install a different rom (.35)
i would also like to add the official update i used was Android 2.3 V100R001C00B526G001 and now there is one more update Android 2.3 V100R001C00B528G001, currently i am downloading that, i will let u know what happens after i download that

You can change recovery with root explorer. Here is a great guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728
Every ROM from beta2 on has locked bootloader so you cant change files when in pink screen but you can unlock it after you rooted it and changed recovery (search development forum for tutorial)

thanks alot, i changed the recovery after usig file expert and then installed aurora, now its working fine, thank god i had already taken my imei backup

hi,
can someone plz tell me how to install updates on a custom rom in dual boot mode for SGY, i followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1600973, but i need to know how can i apply updates on the second rom.
NB : i've installed JELLYBLAST V3 on SD CARD and i wanna upgrade it to JELLYBLAST V3.0.2, this upgrade is done the app OTA UPDATER.

i think the best way is to make the update in normal boot(on phone)and then install it completely new.

Nothing imposible..
All u need is learn then u will know how data2sd from kuro working..
Simple answer is mount data first (not with common mount method) before install update then ENJOY the update.. lol..

Debloat is MOD .Doesn't patch. You should flash rom only if doesn't want to use mod.

the patch did not work
i'm using d802 and I got bootloop when install cloudyG3 from Lollipop. Then I go back to kitkat then follow the instruction. However the bootloop is still here. I don't know what happen, maybe because I installed the D802T Auto Rec file?

Sure. I have to correctly install custom recovery that is my recommend. I comfirm 100% If you follow by my instruction it working

I have kdz to 5.0 and download your twrp version and do exactly the instruction and it is still not working. I don't know where I missed

I can't install cloudyg2 3.1 because my screen is broken. I can use a mouse with an otg cable to control TWRP but as soon as I begin installation it goes to a fancy ui that doesn't support my mouse pointer. If I click it only opens the 3 dot menu. Can't use hardware keys either. Gutted.

i am using optimus g3 kitKAt on d802
I CAN USE THIS METHOD TO INSTALL CLOUDY G2 3.1??
AND THE V2.8.5.1 OF TWRP IS OK??

If i want to install cloudy 3, what step should I do? Can I use in page 1?
In page one, I use "Coming from kitkat / Lollipop ASOP " or "Coming from Lollipop (Stock Custom ROM)"

Currently i'm using cloudyg2 2.2 in my G2, that i believe still Kitkat. Based on my understanding, even it's not aosp, i still can use your method (flash the patch) to upgrade to CG2 3.1, right?

IMHO,
For next update, maybe the NAVIGATIONAL / NOTIFICATION BAR (upside) can make bigger. IMHO, it's too small
bar for HOME TOUCH BUTTON make bigger because it's too small to.
And the volume is so small. maybe you can make it louder for next update.

I have that problem too. Maybe it is called bootlop CMIIW
I take the step http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687768 but your LG will back to 4.2.2 JB.
It's okay, more important, you can use your device again

I'm from lollipop ROM official too..
use method 1 (kitkat / lollipop ASOP) but I suggest root with one-click root. My device can't be rooted with towelroot.

I tried using your method to install CloudyG2 v3.1 coming from CloudyG2 v2.2 (KITKAT).
Yes, I'm on D802 - International Version currently.
Problem I'm facing: I followed your exact step-by-step tutorial in your first post.
After a successful rom install, I click reboot into system but after a few seconds the LED flashes with the LG logo then it goes blank and the LG logo re-appears and I get booted into TWRP again.
I went back to KitKat with my nandroid backup in TWRP which I had luckily made.
What I exactly did:
[Please note I was on TWRP v2.8.5.1 before flashing the TWRP bump.]
1. Flashed the TWRP Bump (GO TO LP V1.1 droidth.zip)
2. Rebooted into recovery.
3. Wipe - Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System.
4. Flashed CloudyG3v3.1.zip
5. Rebooted system.
Then, I get rebooted into TWRP after a few seconds.
I hope you can help me as soon as possible, somboons.

What build number of Lollipop is it?
Which version of TWRP?
What roms are you trying?
Your post is the equivalent of going to the mechanic and saying my car isn't working, without telling the mechanic what kind of car and where the weird sounds are coming from. lol

The roms you try to flash is based on source code of kitkat stock rom So you must revert to stock kitkat rom first
