Hi all,
OK so before I start let me convince you that I have put in a fair bit of effort and done some research before I post this. I have been working to solve this for two night now to no avail.
I have been playing Gameloft's Modern Combat 2 for a few weeks now on my TF, it runs great and I love it. Yes I am using the proper APK and yes I know it is not officially supported on the TF but if it was I would be the first to buy this game.
As I said it has been running fine until a few days ago. Suddenly when I launched the app, it FC.
In between playing the game I have been updating and wiping and flashing my ROM (primarily PRIME rom) with every update that came out in the past weeks/months. Never did I have any problem. When I did a full wipe, I just reinstalled the proper APK and let the data download over wifi.
What I have tried now:
- Removed the app, removed the data, reboot and reinstalled.
- Replaced the data folder from a buddy of mine where the game runs
- Superwiped, reinstalled Prime rom with latest updates and installed the apk and downloaded data
- Superwiped, reinstalled Prime rom with latest updates and installed the apk and copied working data folder
- Superwiped, reinstalled Krakd rom with latest updates and installed the apk and copied working data folder
Whatever I do, it keeps FC. I am 100% positive I have the correct apk for Tegra 2.
It leaves me clueless as to why it keeps FC instantly when I open the app, while I have no problem with any other app. Nova 2 HD and other Gameloft games are working fine.
If anyone has any suggestion what to try next I would be happy to hear.
When you use the term "proper" you bought this game? and took the apk and loaded on on the Transformer and the latest new rom now is causing it to crash ?
In the dev forum, there is a helpful post on how to root and then install the google apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1349902
Like others on the thread, I had a problem with the market and other apps force closing all the time; what's missing from the instructions there is that when you change the permission of the apk files copied into the /system/apps directory, you must also make sure that they are owned by root. In my case, they were owned by the OS user on the machine I connected the kindle to when I transferred the files.
So, in root explorer, after you change the permissions to rw-r--r--, long press again on the file, choose Change owner, and change both the owner and the group to root.
I'd be stoked if this actually worked for me. It's really weird, everything was working fine this morning then it just randomly started force closing google services framework on me left and right. Now I can't even get talk to work at all.
Damn, I feel stupid. I made the mistake of removing the stock system calendar and contacts files. I found the system dump file and put everything back but either I forgot to install them or the system uninstalled them on me. Anyways, installing solved the problem.
Now I'm having another really weird problem. I do the initial install of the market then I have the market up and running once I do a reboot. After any subsequent reboot, market automatically uninstalls and I have to use TiBackup to reinstall it. Fortunately, once I restore, I don't have to reboot again but that is a major pain.
I am having an issue with my better 8 keyboard force closing. I backed all my all my apps up with my back up root and reinstalled cm7 to start over fresh. When I unzipped my apps into it all of them worked normally except my key board. I thought maybe there was a problem copying the apk file but have tried multiple known good copies of the file and still getting force closes. I have tried running fix permissions and am at a loss on ideas. Any help would be appreciated.
Recently i am uninstalling crap apps from my note 3 but when i tried to open my action memo it force closes. can anyone help me? thanks in advance.
Then you must have removed some important file, that is required by Action Memo. Restore the apps and find out, which one caused it. If you didn't backup, then just flash stock firmware.

I just discovered that I'm having the SAME problems... Did you ever figure a solution?
*EDIT* I've restored all of the AT&T boat that I had frozed with TitaniumBackup. I'm still getting crashes when I try to create a new Action Memo.
I MISS my Action Memo. Can someone help us?

i just reflash the rom i was using and carefully repick bloatwares then i make it work again.
Long story short: Coming close to insanity from all notifications (but not wanting to miss e-mail and sms/whatsapp, I rooted my G900FXXU1ANG2 in order to use NotifyClean.
I, hence, also installed the Xposed framework. Subsequently, installed NoBloat and backed up and deleted a number of System apps.
Much to my demise, however, one of my favorite apps, S Health now malfunctions popping an "Unfortunately, S HealthService has stopped".
I have restored just about everything I have had backed up and deleted except for fonts, weather stuff and print services.
Still can't get the app back to it's original state. The best I have managed to achieve is to have the app run but unable to save my (profile) data (which renders the app rather useless).
I have also tried setting the app back to its original state (uninstall updates + force stop) and updating it again from Samsung.
Alas, no dice.
Can anyone help?

It's due to an incompatibility with Xposed framework. Search xda forum and you will find the work around solution (don't remember where I read it). But there is a solution!
