[Q] [Note 4 SM-N910C] Anyone using this model in Canada? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I have been searching for people using 'C' version in Canada but I can only find people using 'U' version and they have low LTE signal issue. I would like to know if 'C' version works well in Canada. The reason I am looking for 'C' version is additional band 17 (700mhz) deployed by Rogers would help boost the signal.
Could anyone give any input please. Thanks in advance.

G2 D802

hi. looking to get the D802 unlocked online. but i live in Japan and am wodering if it will work here. they have the G2 available too but the problem is with rooting/roming Japanese phones. quite difficult and not much resources available.
the bands for the device are listed as:
UMTS 850/900/1900/2100
LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600
the bands used for my carrier in Japan are:
UMTS 800/2100
LTE 700/800/1500/1800/2100(main)
so from my limited understanding the D802 should work. please any of you with understanding of all this please advise.
also, what are all your thoughts of this device stand-alone as well as rooted/romed? how easy is it to root/unroot? how is rom availability? how is it compared to Nexus 5 (much easier to get a hold of here) anything else you could tell me.
much appreciated
PS by the way currently i have iphone 5 but am tired iOS/apple and want to switch to android.
4G shouldn't be an issue.. 3G will..for calls.. Does your carrier have any 2G or Japan has gone over that stage??
Sent from my LG-D802 using xda app-developers app
don't know about 2g. why will 3g be a problem?
As far as I know the 2100 mHz band is fast, but it has small range. That's the problem
right. and from what i've read on the internet about docomo (my provider) the 800 band is to extend coverages in rural areas. primarily where i live/commute/work. think i'll just go with L-01F (JP) model. hopefully there are still lots of resources that will work for that model too. and already found a root for it on here.

[Q] SM-N900P LTE in Europe?

Hello,
I couldnt find an hardware faq, so I thought I might post here.
I'm looking at buying an SM-N900P version of the n9005 when being over in the US. I believe this is a Sprint version. My question is wether this version can handle the LTE frequencies which we have over here in Sweden, or Europe for that matter? Or is the SM-900P limited to US LTE standards somehow?
Thanks for any help,
/ Michael

SM-N9005 LTE compatibility in China?

Hi Guys,
I will travel to Shanghai in 2 weeks. I was wanting to know if there was anyway to be able to use LTE in China by using a local Chinese sim card? I think I read that their LTE bands might not be compatible with the SM-N9005. Is there any way around this? Or will I need to settle for 3G connection? I think I read that China Unicom might have a compatible 3G band with the phone.
Thanks for any help you can provide me.

LTE in USA on G900F?

Hey guys.
I've come from UK to the USA for two months and am looking for a network that will have 4G LTE bands that will work on my G900F. Alternatively, is there any way to enable those bands? I've searched all over but couldn't find anything useful.
Thanks.

Vodafone UK uses Band 20 & Band 7 for LTE & the Chinese OP2 (A2001) only has Bands 1, 3 & 7 enabled.
So, if you're not in a Band 7 area (very limited ATM), you won't be able to use LTE.
Flashing a radio won't help as the three different models have different bands enabled in hardware.
Only the European/Asian version (A2003) has Band 20 enabled.
Ref:
EU/Asia (A2003)
LTE: Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20
North America (A2005)
LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17
China (A2001)
LTE: 1/3/7
ah ok thanks for the reply mate I appreciate it, looks like im either stuck with the device on 3G until band 7 is rolled out or see if anyone local wants to swap ha
