My Note 3 is like medium bricked. It boots up but into the message "System software not authorized by verizon...etc." That is it though. I cant load download mode. It is like some sort of recovery mode but wont let me do anything. I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476353 but it is for a AT&T note 3. Is there a way to do this for my Verizon Note 3? N900V right? MJE update. Please help. My fiance and I are in the hospital caus our little boy was born 2 days ago.
Odin does not recognize the device when plugged in.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380 you can fix with this . I think all you have to do is Oden just the pit file. Just read and read some more. Good luck

Odin does not recognize my Note 3. So this guide will not work.
Just checking that you really can't access download mode.... I've had the "software not recognized/approved go to verizon store" thing before, and I definitely still had download mode access and could Odin back to stock.

Kitkat is not available for us yet.
Not really sure what the future is with it either as far as being able to root it.
Verizon is taking forever with it. Supposedly ironing out the bugs and adding bloat.

Have a bad problem with S-Health, I rooted using Towel root, then installed Xposed, S-health crashed, so i removed xposed and s-health persisted to crash, so i then performed a factory reset, and s-health continued to crash.
The only way it'll work is if it's not updated, I personally don't want root no more i just want it to work.
Stock rom 4.4.2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you remove the framework for xposed first? Anyways since you wiped the data partition, you may as well flash your ROM back and start from scratch. S health works when rooted with towel root but xposed still bugs it.

Crap no I didn't, I have wiped from the recovery though wouldn't that eliminate it ? I've now updated, was trying to avoid losing warranty. But now it never works. Phone isn't rooted no more and I'm not able to root with towel root either.
I'm guessing I'd have to flash a prior ROM via Odin and then re root, install xposed and then remove the framework if it's still somehow there.
Any ideas ? Thanks

Not sure larr, i dont care myself best ask about before you jump in
Try this...
1. Uninstall Xposed framework if not already.
2. Go in /system and open build.prop in a text editor
3. go to the line ( “ro.securestorage.support=true” ) and change it to false
4. Install the xposed framework
5. Clear the app data for S-Health and HealthService
6. Reboot

My Galaxy app's application hasn't been deactivated m8, it's always been on, the second i turn on S-Health it crashes, it's because my system says custom when in download mode i believe, problem is i've now updated my OS so i'd need to reflash a stock rom via odin and then re-root if i wanted to have access to the location that the user before you mentioned. Been away from home for a few days so not had the chance, might do it tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestion, but if I turn on S-Health now i know it'll begin crashing again.

a blocked sign. It tells me that every contact that I have is blocked for no reason I checked the call, contacts settings but I don't see any something wrong, I didn't turn on the don't disturb mode? Any suggestions? Thanks!

yes bro you will be good to go ( I'm a girl btw) wait no YOU ARE NOT ROOTING ANYTHING
You are simply FLASHING the stock rom through odin. PUt your phone in download mode fire up odin flash the stock rom firmware. Once you are done your phone will be as if you just bought it from the store.
* side note you will lose everything so backup whatever you need to you SD card/computer BEFORE YOU FLASH STOCK FIRMWARE
you may want to take your SD card out not required but you can if you want. It will be a fresh install. Pick the right firmware for your phone.
Sprint use sprint verizon use that ect.:good::fingers-crossed:

So, I was going to use Cf-Auroroot like I have for every other Samsung device I've got but apparently there's an issue with it for the N915G.
What I did was put the latest super su file (i used v2.40) on my external SD card and then in Odin flash the latest TWRP recovery from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/general/easy-steps-stock-odin-n915tuvu1anjl-sm-t2943993 (you can also use the sd card fix from here too, flash in TWRP, just install supersu, then add another flash file and install the sd card fix).
Go to recovery mode and flash super su.
I found it had an error flashing cache but a factory reset fixed this so best done BEFORE setting everything up.
Let phone reset, set it up and you now have root access with a clean install of stock rom.
Happy days.
This worked fine for me and left out the step of flashing CF-Autoroot which wasn't needed.
You will still trip Knox.
I don't know if this will work flawlessly for you or for all models, especially if the bootloader is locked, but theoretically it should.
Good luck guys, happy flashing.
And HAPPY NEW YEAR...

You should not have many issues with 5.0.1. What you need to do after flashing the 5.0.1...you need to reset to factory setting. Im sure by now you know when upgrading..you still keep data from the kitkat. This may cause conflict and issues. At the moment the only issue i had is sometime i get that contact closed notifications. I have google this issue...seem like it happen to other phones to with early 5.0.1. For me im ok...cause it only happen very rarely...i hope a much later lollipop will fix this issues.

Possibly flashing the modem and non-HLOS.bin for AT&T.
I can't really say as I live in Oz and have no problems with voice calls...
I do find that my bars don't tend to go over 3 or more than halfway but that could be due to where I live and the crappy coverage we get here... No problem with voice calls though...
I am not sure if I can install SM-N915A modem on 915G.
Can someone confirm if that is possible, if so, what version?
tell me one thing is xposed framework and freedom app now working on note edge 915G lollipop
Nope. Better stick with Kitkat if you intend to use Freedom and Xposed.

Oh well, no way around it then. Warranty is for the timid anyway lol. Gotta pay to play.
Hello everyone, im no developer nor do I post here often, or at all. The sole reason im doing this is because last night i flashed the latest lollipop build on my Galaxy s5 and that meant it updated the boot-loader and everything. I had reactivation lock on and that didn't bother me because the phone was mine and i knew the credentials required to get in so it was meant to be a walk in the park......until it turned on. I went about just fine setting up the phone from factory setting till i reached a point where it asked me for my Samsung details. I put in all the right details but when i hit login, it said "processing failed". I searched everywhere about this issue but nothing seemed to help. The only thing i learnt was that this happened because i flashed 2 different countries' firmware's (i.e i was on the Indonesian fw when my reactivation lock was on and i flashed a different country to which i turned on and got locked out)
I tried flashing back the Indonesian and login through there, but no luck, my only option was to go to samsung...... thats until i gave it one more shot this morning
Instructions:
1. Download the earliest stock lollipop build for your device model from sammobile, since i have a G900H it was G900HXXU1BOA7_G900HOXY1BOA7 (kazkhastan) for me.
2. Enter your recovery and wipe data and cache.
3. Enter download mode and flash the old lollipop build on your device through odin.
4. After it flashes, before it goes to the Samsung logo, turn off the device again and enter recover to wipe data and cache AGAIN.
5. Reboot and wait.
6. Once you're on the welcome screen, follow the instructions on ht tps:// www . youtube . com / watch?v=OCZpUcnp6Cc and it should work because you're on the older firmware where the flaw wasn't fixed yet. (Just remove the spaces)
And that's it, that's how you can get through the reactivation lock on the s5, though I'm guessing it should work on any device that has a lollipop build before February 2015.
I hope this helps the people out there who are locked out of their own devices, no need to thank me if it does since im not sticing around here long but please do give a thumbs up to the video on YouTube since its all the main work involved
Thanks for this, will give it a try and let you know how I get on as I'm locked out of my device due to the same problem
I've managed to get a little further with your help as I can now get into the phone. I'm trying to deactivate the reactivation lock option but it doesn't seem to have any effect, even after I put in my Samsung account details.
Any ideas how to disable that option as I can't flash any custom roms?

Okay if you're in the phone it means you were able to add a new or existing Samsung account to get through right? If so, have you tried disabling re activation in settings and put in the same details you used to get in when asked?
The account should be the same one as the one used to get in, if it's different it won't disable re activation

Don't freak out here is the solution mate : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3309658
It's 100% working try it
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
My SM-G900W8 was updated to 5.1.1 OTA when I decided to wipe the device from recovery - and then couldn't get past the Samsung account login to reactivate my device.
I can confirm I successfully downgraded to KitKat (G900W8VLU1AND1) and followed these steps to bypass the Samsung account login part.
Oddly enough, I could still login to my Samsung account on the phone with this workaround, even though I ran into errors when I tried to to login to my Samsung account through the initial setup of the device.
UUUUHHHHH, after many sleepless nights and struggles with downloading different firmwares and stuck at the initialisation process finally I managed to get through the Samu Relock Trap.
Anyone in the same shoes use the earliest release of Lolipop (Polish in my case / google it and download, flash through Odin and follow the video at the first post) do not try KitKat or Mashmallow because it wont do the job on G900F.
