Attention to all d852developpers - G3 General

Hi!
The Cloudyrom proved that the d852G variant of the G3 is able perfectly run d852roms (there are no differences between the two variant expect their names..). Could you please, to permit all Canadians to taste your awesome work, let your roms run on d852G too?
As a novice I understood that the only thing that blocks my device to install your roms are the updaterscript of your rom that only install the rom if it performed on the d852variant. So, could you please include the d852G to the conditions too? I only ask you to type 3words in a single script of your rom that will open it to another variant of the phone, isn't it awesome?

When it comes to AOSP roms, I believe you'd need more than just a updater-script edit. Each boot.img is specific to each variant and therefore another boot.img would have to be bumped.

[HELP/BETATESTERS NEEDED] ShishirROM i9100

Hey there guys
I'm a dev from the i777 forum -- the AT&T Version of the i9100. My rom, ShishirROM, is based off of XWLPG Odexed -- one of the few i777 ROMs to be odexed. It revolves around having great battery life and stability, as well as being nicely polished and revolving around JKay's brilliant mod.
The page can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1505433
Okay, so I need YOUR help to port this ROM over the i9100. It should be very straight-forward, but I'll need a few beta-testers to make sure everything works as advertised. And being a i777 user, I need to know a couple of things to make sure the ROM is perfect out-of-the-box:
What are the most stable/fastest i9100 modems and kernels?
That's it for now, and I'll need some willing beta testers to PM me with:
Experience modding/testing
Ability to use adb / analyze logcats
Has plenty of backups of existing ROMs incase something goes wrong
Has plenty of time to beta-test
I can only take around 3 or 4 of the most qualified since I don't intend to have to give instructions with each package (e.g., adb push file to directory then chmod, etc.). I think this is the first time someone has tried to port an i777 ROM to the i9100, but I know it's possible and I could make the necessary changes and upload it right now, but I'll need to make sure it works first.
Thanks

[Q] [NOOB] Help building custom ROM for S5 G900H

Hey guys
I'm currently working on my first custom ROM mainly because there are currently no ROM for the dreaded G900H (aka Exynos) version. For this, I already downloaded a stock ROM and created my environment using Android Kitchen. So here are my questions:
1. I was able to follow and execute all the instructions to extract the custom ROM, install root and busybox. But first... is Android Kitchen even compatible with Galaxy S5?
2. Is it important to keep the CSC info on the new ROM? How can I backup current CSC info from my stock (carrier provided) S5?
3. How probable is to brick the phone if I flash a very alpha ROM as the one I'm supposedly cooking? I already have a nandroid and EFS backup
Thanks in advance for your answer and patience.

Funny, implying that this is an statistics game. It is not and it's ridiculous to blame developers for the lack of support.
Pretty much everyone that actually develops got the Snapdragon variant, if I had a choice I'd gotten that just by the amount of code and AOSP possibility.
Exynos was only supported by a couple of devs, it's all Samsung's fault - not devs. None of them currently has an S5.
Use xposed, greenify, titanium backup and there are few reasons you'll need a custom rom.
Xposed opened a new world of possibilities to modding.
Edit: Exactly that demanding attitude is what puts devs off. Other regions are usually more polite and grateful and that's something devs have noted in the past....

Sorry if I didnt make myself clear. English is not my first language. When I mentioned the millions of user was only to imply that more users, the more chance to have a genius among them. I didnt mean to have a demanding attitude. I was trying to say "Iknow you are out there, I know you are developing something for all of us. We are here waiting for your effort.
@CiDev:
You want to share your ROM for "H" here?

I wouldn't bet *anything* on it being released, it looks to me like an abandoned project...
The whole 'I can't work on this because I don't have money' turned me off instantly from that ROM.
On topic: I have been working on a custom kernel for our device, mainly trying to improve battery life. I'm still testing, if it's worth it, I can release it.
It's based on the contributions of others, so it wouldn't be fair for me to keep it private, I just don't want to release something that will break stuff.

1 - yes.
2 - make an nandroid before
3 - if you have a brick, restore from your nandroid and ready again

[Q] Just a few questions!

Hi fellow G2 users!
Got my G2 a few days ago (I know I'm about a year late) but this phone seems awesome. Model is D802.
I did a lot of reading before doing anything and so far - I am on stock LG rom, rooted, installed TWRP with autorec, flashed a volume mod and installed xposed with g2 tweaksbox. So far I have nothing to complain about.
Anyway, now come the questions - my previous phone was a sensation, and to have that fully ready to flash, it required unlocking the bootloader, S-OFF, radio flashing and root.
1. Is there anything else I need to do here? This is my main question. I did a lot of reading before posting this or doing anything to my phone. I only do something once Im completely sure I know how.
2. I've read about flashing modems of some sort and came across this link - xda wont let me post links for the 1st 10 posts... Its a site like codefi.re/autoprime
Can someone please tell me what the 4 different versions of the D802 files are?
3. Any recommended ROMS/kernels that are absolutely brilliant? I know that all devs make great roms but with specifically battery life, STABILITY, and all the LG features (like knock on and the new message reply box thing and quickmemo, etc) I have heard a lot about Pardus. Might try that out soon if I dont get any other recommendations.
4. I read about Jishnu's camera mod. The links have been deleted from his thread. Is it okay to ask if anyone has a backup? I would like to try it if possible.
5. I read about Viper Sound Mod. Is there an updated method of installing this on stock rom? The thread I found seemed outdated and half the links were invalid
Nobody?
Depends on what you want. Have you researched aosp roms? All the things you looked up are fine. Tweaks for a ton will help enrich its use but to change to a complete different operating system is what you should try out if you want to see something different. Modems usually come with the rom. Make sure you flash the correct variant for your device.

Alliance Rom Tester Needed

Hi everyone,
As the title says I need some experience members to Beta test Alliance Rom for the Snapdragon Note 4 (5.0 Lollipop TW Base). If possible, I need you to be experienced in your phone, I know its new =), grabbing logs, able to report any fc's that may arise or be able to run a ROM that may not be fully functional (meaning some of the custom features added) I know this is a long shot but also if you are eastern US time that would be GREAT!
Please pm me for further instructions or you can contact me on Telegram @lacoursiere18. Thanks!
Brian
PS here are some links to the S5 Rom that was recently released just in case you are not familiar to our work..

Flash Custom Roms on T-Mobile 6T?

Hey everyone!
I don't want to seem dumb, but I was wondering if it's possible to flash a custom ROM onto a T-Mobile variant of the OnePlus 6T? I am not exactly clear on if this is possible or not. I imagine that you likely need an unlocked bootloader and to be on the international OOS before flashing anything else, but I can't find anything about this easily on our forums. Whatever the specific steps / prerequisites are in order to flash a new custom ROM on the T-Mobile 6T, please let me know below. I'd very much appreciate it!
Hi,
I recently just did mine and followed the two guides below, make sure you are following them in detail.
Do this one first: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/t-mobile-6t-to-international-t3888307
Second do this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-sim-unlock-t-mobile-version-type-t3915269
Then I recommend going ahead and downloading OTA 10.3.4 since you will need it prior to any custom ROM.

If you need any help please let me know and I'll assist as best as I can. I recommend checking out CrDroid or Paranoid Android Quartz.
