Hi everyone,
I am searching for a good and stable free video player for my U8800 and as a linux user I prefer mplayer or vlc. Is it possible to get an app of mplayer or vlc fpr my phone? I have searched around the internet and I have found only an alpha version of vlc that I am using now.
Many thanks in advance,
Ponder
I prefer BSPlayer, it downloads codecs and subtitles automatically.
I have tried several players and found Mx player as best. mobo player is other good one.
Try MX Video Player from Android Market.
I used Moboplayer for a long time, but now I use MX Video Player, it's much better 8I use in my Asus Transformer too)
Dice player seems to do a good job for me...

I'm on Quarx 2ndBoot build and looking for a good video player, which can play the videos recorded by the default camera app.
BSPlayer can't play them any more, maybe the compression have changed in the videos?
Hi,
I usually use MX player, it supposed to use NEON but I never had the luck. But there are many video players you can use like Mobo Video player , VLC etc.
Install MX and Mobo both and basically you'll play everything

I play those with Dice. Try updating to the latest version of Dice Player.
Also try BS Player!
All files play fine for me with either MX Player or DicePlayer
Oups sorry guys! I did a mistake. It is not mp4 files, but mpg files. I mixed up with these files format.
I have some videos in my phone. They are mp4,avi,flv,vob etc format . But most of the videos are not showing in gallery, some shows but not playing any sound or video. I replaced gallery with quick pic but the problem is same.
All the videos are displayed in MX player and working fine. But why the are not supported in gallery.
If its a limitation of our phones hardware then how it displays are play in MX player.
Is there any gallery app that shows and plays all type of videos ?
Or is there any other way to display all them in gallery .?

These 3rd party players have their own codecs and decoders. They can play these formats where as native android codecs don't support .MKV .MOV.... file types.

You can use MX Player. It supports almost all video formats and you can browse media files from its inbuilt file browser. I don't think a gallery app would support the codecs.
