Same for me, running as smooth as ever. Ironically I manually flashed it yesterday before I knew it was going ota today.

Build Number
Can someone please confirm the build number for US LTE? Is it the same as the leaked update?

I would be very interested to know this as well.
I think it's very likely that the ota version is the same as the version leaked on their website. If at&t had rejected the update for some reason we probably would have been kept waiting longer than a week while nvidia resubmitted a new version.
Also, when I check for updates on the device it says I have the newest version. If the Rev had been bumped it probably would have prompted me to update.
Having said all that, I could be wrong ...

Anyone got a build number for the update?
I would love to know as well.

Hi all,
I'm new to this site (and this stuff in general) and just have a question. I'm using an unlocked G2 in Canada and was wondering if I'll still be able to get the 2.2.1 update even if I'm not on the T-mobile network. Sorry, if this was already asked and thank you for your patience with my noob-ness. (I couldn't find this searching through google).
Edit: O geeze. Put the wrong number down for update. =_=;
There is no official OTA yet. And you are already on 2.2, the update just does some small fixes/enhancements. As to whether you can get it, I would like to know as well.
Simple answer no. tmobile sends out the updates so if your not on there network you wont be able to get it as an over the air (ota) update

Would there be a manual way to get this update as opposed to OTA...?

Yes, once the OTA hits someone will extract the link and host the update so that everyone doesn't have to wait for the OTA to roll out because TMo (and everyone else) pushes updates in batch form not all at once.
So yes you will be able to get it... just not in OTA form.
There was a checkin code, people were using to manually check for updates, but I dont know if that works for anyone?
Once we get full root, and the update is sent to us, im sure someone will create a post. From there you can download and install it.

I got my G1 in Hong Kong and not using T-mobile, but I was able to get OTA update to 1.1 and 1.5
Sounds awesome. Here's hoping it doesn't take until a full root inorder to extract the update. Thanks, makes me feel more hopeful. Tethering and Wifi calling would be nice to have...

That isn't entirely correct. OTA updates to the OS are Google-managed and are sent out for T-Mobile's phones pending T-Mobile's approval.

Hi I've just received my Xoom which was bought off Ebay. I'm in the UK but this came with an additional adapter to plug the the charger into. which makes me think this is from the US and When powered on it said there was an update available which updated it to 3.1. Build HMJ37, kernel 2.6.36.3-gc2bee64 [email protected]#1
I know that 3.1 is supposed to be rolling out now for non US Xooms, But is there a way to find out if this is the UK update or the one rolled out to the US?
Cheers
HMJ37 is the US build.

Thanks, So I'll have to wait till the US get another firmware update to be able to use the sdcard slot or will I be able to flash the UK version?
If you really want to, when the EU updates roll out you could flash the stock EU image and get it that way. However, since you're already on 3.1 wouldn't you rather root and install the Tiamat kernel to get access to the SD now?
I got a message about new firmware update available for my 3g international version (rooted) today. I was out of network connection when I saw it so I haven't tried downloading it yet. Any idea what it is? ICS possibly?
Hello techspy,
I got the same notice, however unfortunately I am at work and there is now WLAN connection available. I will try it later at home. ( I have no root!)
Greetings
Its not ICS...only 11.87 megs Dang...
Wonder what the update is? Hope I don't lose root.
no notification on my UK tab 7.7 - even when I query the update manually.
what is the update?
Well I just installed the update. It says "Device updated to version P6800ZSLA2". No idea what was changed/updated
no Update

I think this update has been around for awhile. Kies is showing mine as having the latest firmware (LA2).
LA2 has been out for a few months now.

that's because there is a difference between XXBMF1 and UEEMF1...they're not the same. One had an update available, one didn't.
Oh, I see: the version with the modem . Thanks for not flaming btw.
I hope they're prepping it up for a 4.2.2 update.

No prob . Actually I think those first three letters refer to the different country codes for the N5110 firmwares, not another model of the Note like the N5120 (the one with the modem). Different countries or regions may have their own variations and features for a particular model, like our N5110.
Xx is for international I believe. And we all know what xxx stands for. Joke hee hee corny I know.

If I'd root my note 8 will I be able to flash ota updates if I temp unroot with voodoo root keeper?
----------------------
Nexus 7 3G - Tapatalk
Just a quick note. This updated version does seem to resolve the freezing issues I had with the update over a week ago. I only found out there was an update when I connected the Note 8 to my Mac and waited for 10 minutes while KIES tried to find it (who wrote that software!!!). KIES eventually said there was an update so I tried to download it but it was taking ages so I tried on the Note 8 and it download immediately (at 56Kbps modem speed).
FYI : it is a UK international Note 8 used in Spain.
The U.S. Wi-Fi also got upped now, woke up to JZO54K.N5110UEEMF2 waiting to install .
Yes - it works for me

That's how I do it. Using Voodoo OTA RootKeeper. This AM I got the notice the software update was available. I run the "Temp.un-root" then installed the updates. This has worked for the last 3 updates; UEDMD1, UEEMF1, & UEEMF2. After updates finish, run the Root Restore.
I'll,habe the update.zip in my thread in android development

I dont think that is true, only a few carriers have implemented checks(AT&T for sure) to make sure you are using their sim before they let you download the update. It should not matter by region at all. The updates are pushed by IMEI series and not by geolocation.
I got the update today
Got the notice on my TMO running unlocked code today as well. Has anyone installed it yet? Any issues? How's battery life?

I am using on sprint, installed the OTA yesterday. My experience with battery life has been worse than the beta version I was on.
So is there a way to stop the update? I want to let it bake a bit. I thought I could go into Dev Options and disable Auto System Update but as soon as I got home and on WiFi it started downloading Oreo.
