Hi,
I bought a Galaxy S5 (G900F model) recently and I would like to know the total hours the mobile was used (Turned on Status) as I need to know it is a new one and not a refurbished or already used product.
(Note : I don't require to know the total duration of call being done from my phone rather total duration the phone was on).
Tried looking into Settings->About Phone->Status->Uptime. But it gets reset once the phone is restarted. So I cannot actually say with this whether it has used already or not. Please help me in this and can return them back if it is used already. I tried looking into other threads but none is giving me the option I am looking for. I assume there must be some sort of secret code to find that. Please help me on the same.
Additionally, there is another problem that i am facing now is that, I used Phone Info *SAMSUNG* to check the details of the phone. I see the SAMSUNG SERIAL NUMBER - 0000000000 but a valid IMEI No. and Serial No. But while trying to put the value as what it is in back of the battery, it says it may be refurbished. (It says the same if any no. is given ) My Serial No. is RFXXXXXXXX) But I have no problem in connecting to my mobile network or talking in the phone. Will i be in anyways concerned about this problem? Please help.
NOTE : This device is brand-new and not even rooted and still in STOCK ROM.

Hi ,
I have Nexus 7 2012 3G Model imported from USA whereas I stay in India,
I have done RMA recently , it was my 3rd time to go there, I had battery & motherboard issue this time, they changed my battery but not board but claimed that they did but i was smart to check data so when i checked my whole data was there so i got to know that they didn't changed it at all so again i give it there & told the issue,
Now problem is i am not facing any battery issue but its taking almost 8 hours to charge battery & giving 4.5 hrs on screen so i looked further so got to know that when motherboard changes it used to be IMEI also gets changes whereas i double checked with box & setting - status that my IMEI is same as before along with SSN ( sim serial number ),I seriously cant trust them whether they really changed my board or not, Is there anyway i can confirm with myself?
As i mentioned before it was my 3rd time for RMA , service is good as it does not takes time to do that like weeks but i cant trust them due to last incident & main problem is only 2 days remained to end my warranty, & this device gave me loads of issues till now, So Can anyone help me with this? I am ready to provide any details to look further.
Thanks in advance & Help will be Appreciated,
Try checking mac address that is hardware specific so if it is same then it is not changed. Btw imei is also hardware specific so i am sure it is not changed.
Please ignore my spelling mistakes. English is not my native language.

Dear All,
I write to inform you that i finally solved my GT-I9300 'Not Registered on Network' problem. I decided to make this official announcement so as to assure others, most especially those who have tried almost all the tricks and steps found on this and other forum on the subject that all hope is not lost.
May be if i shed more lights on the problem which i encountered, and i suppose many other people, you will understand me very well. First, i did the upgrade through Samsung Kies and after the phone rebooted, it lost link to network. I called Samsung and chatted online with the Customer Service, i was asked to send the phone to South Africa where i bought it. I called South Africa and also chatted but they could not understand let alone solve the problem. I headed to XDA and other forum to find solution, I tried all versions of ARIZA Patch, none work. I tried all modified ROM, yet no solution. At one point, the problem became complex. The phone moved from not registering on network to 'Factory Mode'. I followed many other steps, but could not get past restoring it back to User mode. I gave up after a month and bought another phone.
My son shocked me last Friday when he said that it will be his first time of seeing me accepting that some problems cannot be solved. I mused over it and told myself that i will rather destroyed the phone totally than giving him the impression that i cannot solve the problem.
I got out my two computers - Mac and PC and reformatted them all. Installed ODIN and downloaded a 4.3 Stock ROM. I then began searching everywhere for any clue as to what went wrong with the phone. My research is simple; the PHONE could not register simply because the IMEI and Serial Number were wrong. My IMEI and S/N moved from 0000 to unknown. After reinstalling through KIES, it came back from unknown to another wrong numbers.
I finally decided to go inside the phone by activating everything on ODIN and see if i can get the wrong EFS on the phone wiped away and left empty. I repartitioned, wipe EFS, etc. and the only thing the phone did was to move from unknown to another incorrect IMEI and Serial.
Finally, i read on a post that the problem is simply software, so i began searching if it is possible to repartitioned the phone completely and turn it into a toy. I recalled that about ten years ago, i successfully installed Nokia OS on Blackberry through a poorly concerted code designed by a friend. In so far i still have the code, I thought that i could do same with my GT-I9300. It won't work, sadly. But in the process of doing so, i realized that using SRS, i can do so comfortably. With this 20 USD software, i gained control of the internal organs of my phone and started out by wiping out the EFS first and with my EFS Backup, i re-wrote it back on the phone. That done, i expected the phone to work, but sadly it refused to register on network.
Not ready to give up, i went further to see what other options are available to me. I realized that i can actually re-wrote my IMEI and Serial number back to the phone. I tried it and after about an hour and almost three attempt, T-MOBILE surfaced on my phone and the GT-I9300 came back to life.
Altogether, i spent two unbroken days reading and reading and applying one step after another, one procedure after another till i finally got the phone back.
SRS can not only do this, but can take back your contract and locked phone from those shylock and give you your phone. It go inside your phone and show you all the codes that locked you to a particular network, etc. It can remove those useless codes that make your phone patented to a particular country and give you an international version. It can also turn your international version to a local one, if you so desire.
I do not know who designed this software, i however testify to its immense ability to safe you from Samsung's irresponsibility.
I am open to helping others and answering questions on GT-I9300.
I have since been enjoying my phone.
what's the short version of the story?

Going by the last lines, it seems this is the tl;dr version

Hi XDA Superheroes,
Need your help before I got bonkers with my new note 4. I am currently in UAE and here SM910C Exynos is the one which is selling most and not the 910F snapdragon. Somehow i managed to get 910F and was informed there is no warranty as they are not supported by the main dealer of UAE however will be supported by Samsung service centre. When i got the phone i saw that the knox was tripped (this i should have checked first thing at the shop but i was busy with other services testing- damn me). I was aware it was a second had phone and also the serial number is wiped off but IMEI is there. The main issues with the phone is battery charging in Power Saving Mode...secondly it was on some nordic rom and phone info was showing serial as 0000000. the phone does not charges normally but if I put on power saving mode it works .
Second issue - IMEI changed after i flashed to BTU 4.4.4 :silly:...seriously i don't under how and why and what...But that my concern.
THE MAIN ISSUES IS CHARGING SO EVEN AFTER ROOTING AND USING CUSTOM EMOTION KERNEL IT HAS NOT HELPED.
Can anyone throw some light as whats going on. I will try to check if someone has note 4 and swap the battery as that may be issues. I cant expect Samsung to support and the only option is to fight with the mobile shop guy and get the 910 C.
Please do let me you suggestion at the earliest as tomorrow evening time it will be show down:fingers-crossed:
Hi. I am trying to register my gold Samsung S7 edge on Samsung.com but it keeps saying it doesn't recognise my serial number. I have typed it in from the back of the phone and checked it in Android settings and from aida64. Also when I put my model in sm-g935f it comes up with a massive list I am sure I saw which one I had when I first setup the phone but now cannot see what full model it is anywhere can someone please help.
Can't seem to delete this item has randomly done it now been trying for days
Hi All,
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I got the S7 a while ago and managed to drop it. Got the screen replaced through my bank insurance but since I've got it back, it is coming up with "Not registered on network" error. It also says "Security Notice: Unauthorised actions have been detected. Restart your device to undo any unauthorised changes." Obviously contacted the repair centre but they won't accept any blame, saying they would not have rooted it. I will continue arguing with them but need my phone so am trying to solve it myself. What I've done so far:
1. The phone is not blacklisted - I've checked that (just incase someone had been a numpty and put it as stolen instead of damaged).
2. Installed software which given me the phone info - it shows knox 0x1 meaning the knox flag has been tripped.
3. Tried manually selecting the network but it comes up with an error "Unable to connect. Try again later" and "No service". Note that when I pop the sim in my backup phone (Blackberry 9900 - going waaaaay back now), it works so the SIM is working fine. The phone is locked to Vodafone.
4. Can't upgrade the software (from 6) as the knox flag has tripped.
5. At present, root existence says No.
6. Have also tried all the usual basics - restarting, restoring to factory settings, turning off wifi/going to flight mode.
The only way of resolving it from what I can tell is rooting it but I am not sure of the process and not sure what I am trying to achieve by doing this. So, would appreciate any suggestions for resolving it and a step by step guide if available. Just frustrated I have an amazing phone under warranty which isn't working like a phone atm... Help appreciated in advance!
Another thing to add - just noticed that the IMEI for the phone is different to the IMEI on the box that I had. Neither of the IMEI are blocked but don't understand what the heck has actually been done to the phone.

Thanks and valid. But given the screen was the only part damaged, I don't understand why they'd bother replacing one of the most expensive parts? Anyway, appreciate the input.

Thanks. I'm in the UK and it doesn't seem to be blocked. Checked on www.imeipro.info but if you know any others, happy to check.
