[INFO] Another Delay from Comet

I have ordered the Asus Transformer on 13/4, and really looking forward to receive it on 21st as i have booked a slot on that day..
however the Comet rang me just before telling me that the transformer will be delayed AGAIN and won't get mine before 9th May! i was quite shocked and kinda disappointed with that (though i understood the supplies...) as i have pre-ordered it for so long and they told me there were stock available for me at the beginning.
Now i am holding a Xoom, but i will have to return it in 21 days if I have made up my mind on picking one of them, arghhh asus really fuc*ed me up

Doesn't bode well for my delivery due on the 28th then

I rang them this morning to change my delivery address, and they told me it won't change the delivery time. After a few minutes they rang me back and told me about this piece of news. FML
just went on their website, now the earliest delivery time would be 3rd of May....i am thinking of ringing them again and know about this

I suggest you email asus with your order so you are on file for the keyboard offer,I did it yesterday and they said once on file the offer was available to me even if the tablet arrives past the offer date

I've just spoken with Comet after the dreaded answer phone message. I was due for delivery this Thursday and I have been bumped to the 9th May. They informed me that all 695 pre orders are going to be moved back and that no one will recieve one before this date. Sorry all!
Asus have failed to supply the number of Transformers that were expecting.
They also have no idea of when the keyboard will be coming into stock.

try carphonewarehouse, thats where i got mine last week, they had the one with the keyboard dock ready to ship out too, as one of the rep tells me on the phone while i was ordering the tablet from him.

I got left a message too saying that delivery had been delayed from 21st till 9th of may, emailed asus so hopefully still get the keyboard offer and also emailed comet requesting refund of delivery fee and inquiring how definite the new date is (probably won't believe any reply though).

it's free to deliver on 9th according to their website...but i doubt they would refund me than 5 quid though..

There's 2 for sale on gumtree (at least there was) might get it a bit quicker

They did that to me to. I phoned them and they have rescheduled the delivery to 3rd of May.

I had one on preorder from amazon from the 4th of April. They then bumped delviery to the 1st of June. The moment I got the email about the amazon delay I checked comet which said they had them in stock.
So I placed an order with Comet around the 12th of April. They took my money straight away and scheduled delivery for the 21st.
Had a phone call yesterday telling me they can no longer deliver on this date. Now I am sorry but to take my money and hold onto it for a week is disgusting if they dont have physical stock. my order was not a pre-order but a sale. I asked for an immediate refund and told them of their shocking behaviour.
I have always hated bying anything from DSG or comet stores and this just proves why. never again!!!
Good job I kept my pre-oder with amazon I am happy to wait until June now.
Comet sucks ass!!!

just ordered one from laskys, claimed to be delivered on 26th.

Ok so phone is ordered and I'll be trading in my DHD as well. Bye bye old metal phone....Hello new shiny silver ONE!
Fingers crossed 3 have told me it could come next week (but the expected date on their website is in fact just a latest expected date) but they'll let me know, and if they let me know. I'll let you know!
Also buymobilephones.net told me that they were expecting stock by the 18th so there could be hope hat HTC are back on track and have pulled it back. Atleast on the Silver handset anyway.
So if you're being put off by a possible wait its worth asking the question rather than just not bothering because you think its late anyway.

Ah well we shan't hold our breath for them then lol.

I had same conversation with CPW last week they told me while estimated date on the site and sent out in Texts is 29th there is a chance stock will come sooner, I'm so hoping mid next week

Buymobilephones.net have updated me on Twitter saying 28th.
Perhaps 3 were indeed just pulling a fast one.

Anyone had any updates as yet on deliveries? Been trying to get through to someone at 3 that knows anything at all about anything but it seems today they're only letting people that at aged 30 are still having their asses changed by their mothers answer the calls!

Regarding 3 - I ordered the silver version on Saturday afternoon - spoke to someone on the helpline yesterday (Monday 18th) and she said it would be delivered today (19th), but I rang again to confirm this morning but it was still in the warehouse and not due for despatch later today. Rang again a few minutes ago to see if was going out tonight, but now been told that only orders made on or before last Friday would be going out this week - any orders made Saturday onwards would be delivered for the 28th (which is fair enough I suppose, as that's what it said on the website when I ordered). Thought there was a sneaky chance I might get it early for a moment, but not to be.

Yes I was told there was a chance of delivery today but apon calling today it was like everyone had forgotten the One existed or something. Acting properly stupid! They said they had stock coming in and I could hopefully have it by today but it seems they're saying one thing and doing another!
I don't mind too much as long as it does come by the 28th as promised, but it annoys me that they say something to get your hopes up then don't follow through. Gits!

I don't understand how every reseller has such different stock levels, availability and delivery dates....HTC have announced on Twitter that they've been rolling the phone out since Friday gone!!!

I just placed my order for a One last night on Asda Direct.
Anyone else orederd from them also?
Thought I would start a thread in case anyone else has.
Seems like most people who getting it SIM Free are getting it from Handtec but Handtec have no cashback so works out £13 more.
Looks like Asda Direct delivery is hit or miss so even though it states delivery on release date (which is wrong info as its bank holiday and I called them and they said should be with you on the Saturday), I doubt I will get it before 2nd April.

Does Asda direct allow international purchases also?

Ordered mine last week - due to be delivered to me the end of next week (29th). The bundle is a nice touch and £499 all in very good. They only have silver, which suits me fine. And it's SIM free...

Got a text from them this morning that said by the 29th. ( I ordered it quite a while ago). As that is Good Friday I suspect the day before... anyway at least it's coming!
EDIT: Just noticed the page now has a "7 days to go" banner on it...

I called yesterday to ask and they asked the manager and he said no deliveries on good Friday so earliest will be 30th.
Yeah banner said 8 days to go yesterday which counts down to Good Friday.
Dont matter when you placed order, unless they dispatch it on 27th you wont get it before 30th.

Hi! What made you say that those who ordered from those stores won't be getting UK handsets?
I think it's quite weird since those are based on UK. I don't think HTC would be stocking US or Asian handsets on those stores right? Else that would just mess up their distribution structure.

Ás much as I want that good luck it's highly impossible. As you can see I am not from UK so having a non-UK phone on handtec would greatly benefit me as that would likely give me chances of having a compatible Asian LTE. But I already asked them about that before I made a purchase and as they said they'll be providing EU models only. They even posted on the description the LTE bands it will be supporting. So.... hopefully your words would create a miracle. lol

I sent them a email saying they are false advertising that we will get it delivered on good friday. Thats impossible so they are in fact lying to customers.
Will ask for good will reward or I will go instore to purchase one at Phones4U.

You might be right. I think most orders, if not all, will be delivered on the 2nd of April or after that, but I hope to be proven wrong.

Gamestop release date 7/25/13? (US)

I've been reading the release date is July 27th, so I'm a tad confused since the Gamestop website says July 25th. I reserved my unit, I just hope it really does come a little earlier but maybe I'm just a little hopeful.

All I can think is GS had a release date from earlier in the month and nVidia must have extended it to the 31st, which is what is being reported as the release date by nVidia.

it could be that that is when nvidia ships the units out. They said they were going to try to get it to people by the 31st, so shipping a few days early would make sense. Often times stores get them even sooner to distribute them, so perhaps GameStop will get it the 25th but hold it until the 31st when it officially launches.

I'll be looking out for that text message for the next few days notifying me that it's going to be in, if the Gamestop site is something to be trusted, I'm so impatient! I hope I get that notification tomorrow or Wednesday that it really will be on Thursday.
EDIT: My reason being, the website earlier this month had 7/31/13 as the release date, but later changed it to 7/25/13

all though possible i highly doubt gamestop will start selling it 6 days before Nvidia themselves ship it.

My personal interactions yielded mixed results. I called three GameStops and they all said they weren't taking preorders. Two said they weren't "Anymore" So I assume they closed the preorders? I know mine is still in effect since I was able to put down more money for it. I'm going to call on Thursday the 25th and see what they say. The GameStop website still says 7/25/13 regardless of what Nvidia said.

I just noticed on their website that the accessories are all dated the 31st but the Shield is the 25th. It doesn't look too good for this week.

Probably not. Still though, it is strange that soon before Nvidia announced the date as the 31st Gamestop switched the date from the 31st to the 25th. I don't expect it this week, but just to be sure I'm going to stop by Thursday still.

Went to Gamestop at lunch and the clerk knew nothing about preorder or delivery dates. He said it wasn't in the system which led him to believe it might actually be in stock tomorrow.....hmmmmm

Ya, but that is GameStop for you. Worst thing about the gaemstop website for me is it gives me stores about 300 miles away by default and won't remember my real location.

Mine says the same thing. Ordered mine at 1:17PM EST. Hopefully it'll get sent out with the Nexus 9 release on Nov. 3rd. That's at least what I'm hearing.

What you're hearing? You mean the people referring to the previous Nexus launch?

I'm pretty sure everyone who got an order in was given the same shipping date placeholder. As with most pre-orders like this, they are giving out a longer than anticipated ship date just in case. Ask anyone who has pre-ordered any of the other nexus phones from google.... they shipped out well before the initial placeholder date.

No. I was referring to the ship date that was cited for the N9. And my bad on not having a link, but all I'm recalling was post that was probably pure speculation anyway.

Here in Norway at proshop.no they expect it in 03.11. I have ordered mine and they say that it should be shipped from them late the 03.11.
Fun but also strange that we can have it very early. Normally its 2-3 weeks later over here.

Leaving warehouse on 11/21/2014 but I doubt that'll hold true. Sooner if anything.

I really hope it's true that they send them out before the 21st. I was quick enough to select next day shipping too so hoping to get it ASAP.

I tried speaking directly with Google. I said to my Nexus 5, "hey google when will my nexus 6 ship?". It responded with a list of URLs that don't tell me when my Nexus 6 will ship. Guess I just have to wait.

mines says 11/21 leaves warehouse. Grr Google. i even questioned them on the tmobile release before the Google pre-order and all he said was they cant give shipping times, but the one from the Google play is unlocked and different whereas the tmobile one is branded to them

So it appears they will be branded. I was wondering about this. I'm sure the only real way to know is when they release the phone.

I managed to order one today and the ship date is still showing 11/21.

i bought the nexus 5 through t mobile when it came.....exact same phone, t mobile just added 50 bucks to the price but it was the same as the play store

nothing to see here...
