You should read this thread.
I went with the International version for several reasons, some of which may not apply in your case:
1. It was cheaper.
2. It has the FM radio, whereas U.S. versions do not.
3. I am using AT&T as my carrier via Straight Talk, which does not have LTE support, so while having an LTE model may result in potentially higher resale down the line, it offers no immediate benefits to me personally.
International.
$579 today.
HSPA+ is fast enough for Netflix HD streaming, which is fast enough for me. LTE is neat, but drains battery and you are at AT&T's mercy for updates. No thanks.

so, its tru that if i use a LTE phone, in an area where there is no LTE coverage, the batery drains faster?
also, i'm from mexico, and also i have a prepaid plan, and no carrier has LTE,
i has has used AT&T phones, (galaxy s2 skyrocket, the Galaxy note i717), but now, i'm not sure about geting the att note 2, or
the international....
and what about the T-mobile version? its good enough?
Go with the international one. No LTE means longer battery. No AT&T bloatware crap. FM radio. And it's cheaper.

+1 For all of the above. International version also receives updates from Samsung before the AT&T Note 2.

Hey guys, I'm considering switching over to TMO. My wife has a SGS4 w/ att. I've seen the unlock method but what I haven't found is a clear answer to this:
Will this phone perform at LTE speeds on TMO's network? Is it 100% radio compatible?
I will tweak the hell out of my phone, but my wife doesn't want me to touch hers (I wonder why lol)
I just switched over from att to tmo with my att unlocked s4....lte is great....everything eccept the hotspot option works.

Hello all,
I am new to XDA, so I apologize if this question has been answered before. I am coming from an iPhone 4s to (Hopefully) a Note 3; however I need to figure out what model to get. I have Metro PCS, so I would need an unlocked model. But my question is which should I buy to be able to use their 4G LTE towers / data speeds? I saw on another thread that one note 3 doesn't work with USA 4G LTE, so you can understand my concern.
TL;DR: I have metroPCS in california (USA) and want an unlocked Note 3, which model do I need to buy to use 4G LTE
You Need SM N9005 international variant & is fully unlocked. You can use LTE on that

I really wanted to get a Note 4 with an exynos processor to use on the AT&T network. I was scheduled to pick one up tomorrow actually.
After snooping around more I found that the SM-N910U will not work with AT&T LTE, or so I think... (I wish it did.)
And I found that the SM-N910C will work with AT&T LTE with no problems.
I am so sick of the variation between model numbers and Snapdragon/Exynos.
I just want someone to clarify that I'm right so I can buy the proper phone.
(Wanted a Nexus 6 but now they are more expensive (6xx-650 Note 4 / 699 + 60$ for tax Nexus 6 64gb) than the Note 4, with less capabilities)
at&t whitelists phones which it wants to work with. 910U will work with at&t lte if they allow it but they dont. suggest you ditch at&t for tmo and get a 910u.
im looking to get a note 4
its pretty cheap on ebay but its from canada
its unlocked, would it still work on ATT or T mobile and does it have LTE?
