[Q] How to bypass the regional volume limits? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post to this forum, and I am coming to you for help with a problem that has me completely desperate, so I hope someone will have the answer.
I have a recently bought a factory unlocked galaxy Note 4, and like most smartphones today (including all iphones/ipads/ipods, for example), it has a regional volume limit that prevents me from listening to very loud music for health reasons. I just switched to samsung from apple, and on my iphone, there was a tweak that let me modify a system file in order to uncap the volume. Since everything that you can do on an iphone, you can do it twice faster and twice better on a samsung, I am sure this is possible too in my Note 4.
But I do not not what file to look for, and what text to modify in that file. To be clear, what I am trying to do is to uncap the volume limit of the headphones when i am using spotify, or any other music app.
Could someone guide me on how to do this? I would be eternally grateful and I am sure it will help a lot of other people too.
Thank you very much in advance..
Cheers,
Steven

Volume on my incredible is too loud :(

I just got an HTC incredible, but it's crazy loud - the lowest call volume setting is loud enough that it's a little unpleasant to talk on it.
Are there any technical fixes I could do for this? I'm running a rooted stock ROM right now, and I have adb working although I'm not completely sure what to use it for other than installing apps.
I would imagine that there must be some kind of configuration file somewhere which sets overall speaker gain. Any thoughts?
Hmm, the only solution I can think of is to go with a bluetooth headset, but maybe someone smarter can provide a cost-free solution.

[Q] Low Media Volume

No doubt I'll get flamed for asking a question that must of been asked before. So I apologise beforehand, but I searched and couldn't find the answer.
I know it's known the Android volume is lower than WinMo, does anyone know of a way to increase it? I don't have issues with in-call volume. Just media volume like YouTube player and the Music Player.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
I am also encountering this volume problem. Also when I recorded a video, the quality was great, but the video volume is extremely low. Hope someone out there has a fix. Thanks in advance.
i would also be interested in finding out about this, at least someone reffer to us to a link and help us find the answer please
Looks like the problem is common to Android in general. The most promising info i found that somewhat made sense to me was this thread.
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00649.html
But I can find the files... make one of the cooks can make sense of it.
Bangsters lastest has the best volume I've heard yet.. haven't tried the other CM based Roms though I'm kinda hooked on this one.. just need to update my sig
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
i think it is a general android issue , my x10 also has the same issue
What's wierd is that I know it has the potential to be ear-splitting, but android just limits it for some reason. Sometimes when I first start playing music, The sound will absolutely BLAST for like half a second, and then 'corrects itself' down to a much lower volume.
I'm hoping they crack this nut soon too. The volume on Shubcraft is *okay*, but I still find myself turning it up as loud as it'll go. I have a pair of Hello Kitty headphones with a volume dial built in to them & they're really good for boosting music volume. For anyone who's having a problem with media volume, I suggest getting some headphones like this(not necessarily HK-branded lol).
Thank you all for the replies, at least I'm not the only one who was wondering. If it's just a general Android issue then I'll live with it, use headphones perhaps like someone suggested (not Hello Kitty though)
I have noticed though, with the game Paper Toss, the volume is loud. However when I use the YouTube player or Music Player and I find it difficult to hear at times. Unless I'm in a completely silent room. Doesn't make sense if It can go loud, why it doesn't. Or there's no App to boost the volume, that I can find anyway.

[Q] debrid SG4 volume

hi everybody
My phone is GT-I9505 version 4.2.2 I9505XXUAME2 JDQ39.I9505XXUAME2
I would like to know if there is some trick, code or else in order to unlock low volume sound on headphone?
I saw there was some code available for Galaxy S but it looks like it dosen(t work anymore ...the same for the app Volume+ which doesn't work on 4.2.2 version.
I do really feel the volume on headphone is very low..;specially when watching video on my device, i suspect a restriction of volume for the sake of our ears certainly...but i am old enough to know if i want to hear loud or not.
SO if someone can give me a hint to break that restriction i would appreciate.
thanks a lot
Or may be someone can give the name of a rom that can do the job?

[Q] Low microphone volume

So after about an hour and a half of searching XDA and Google I have yet to find a resolution that doesn't involve me opening up my phone and cutting the rubber around my microphone. Allow me to explain.
Since I can remember - I got my S4 in December of last year - I've had problems with people hearing me, low record volumes and so on. I rooted and modded my phone almost immediately after receiving it and never really had the chance to test on stock TW, but this problem has persisted at *least* since I switched to KitKat about 2 months before it was pushed OTA via Carbon, Pac ROM, and Vanir. I have made it a regular habit of removing any DSP/preinstalled audio software and using Viper4A, but I was hoping to get some sort of lead before I flashed again, revert to stock TW, or took apart my phone. EDIT: I still have the exact same issue without V4A installed and using stock DSP/settings.
This problem was reported fairly commonly with the SII and the Nexus 4, but the methods I have tried to solve the situation (*#*#197328640#*#*; Trickster Mod, no physical blockage, mixer_paths.xml does not exist...) have yielded no results. I tested with TeamSpeak and Zello's outbound transmit volume and there's a dramatic difference, but how to adjust this on a system-wide level still eludes me. Google Now, Sound Recorder, SoundHound and other apps have difficulty with any sort of recognition even in ideal settings (eg. quiet environments). I had to virtually yell to set up Google Now's "Ok, Google" system-wide feature requiring me to hold the device at arm's length.
I'm posting because I haven't seen any issues of this nature reported for the S4. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Kernel tweaks? File modification I'm missing? Anything?
Bump. I still have not been able to find a resolution to this issue.

Please, I need your help.

Hello guys. I have bought Galaxy S5 NEO SM-G903F. Dont get me wrong, the phone is good, BUT i want to boost the volume in headset and speaker ... I have read a lot of information there and in google too. I have read something about mixer_paths.xml. Yea i have it too, but its different from the what it has in Galaxy s5 only so i have no RX7 LINES and those kind of stuffs. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783968 I read this, but on my neo s5 i have no path_speaker or path_headset, or RX7.. Its just different. I have something like DAC GAIN volume and a lot of stuffs like this.. but i really need to edit that file to make the sound more loud in speaker and headset. Please, can you help me ? And sorry if my title is in the wrong section (Im a new at this forum)
