hi everybody
My phone is GT-I9505 version 4.2.2 I9505XXUAME2 JDQ39.I9505XXUAME2
I would like to know if there is some trick, code or else in order to unlock low volume sound on headphone?
I saw there was some code available for Galaxy S but it looks like it dosen(t work anymore ...the same for the app Volume+ which doesn't work on 4.2.2 version.
I do really feel the volume on headphone is very low..;specially when watching video on my device, i suspect a restriction of volume for the sake of our ears certainly...but i am old enough to know if i want to hear loud or not.
SO if someone can give me a hint to break that restriction i would appreciate.
thanks a lot
Or may be someone can give the name of a rom that can do the job?

heard the call volume is quite low compared to other phones.
i am mostly in noisy environment ...so it mite be a problem for me
any app to boost volume?
well i gotta admit.. the volume for this phone suckz! dont get me wrong.. the phone itself i love! headphone wise its pretty decent though!
I think at the moment we are stuck with it! im sure ive seen a volume booster about but we have to wait till the x10 is rooted!
Not sure if maybe a minor update from sony themselves can make a difference?
Low Volume Solution
I had the same issue.
i just palay a high pitch sound in my phone and all seems to work perfect.
ear peace volume increase a lot .
you can try
the notification sounds are weak as well. it's so low and i can't even hear it. i was at a friend's gathering - home party. had like 10 emails waiting for me and i didn't even hear it. had the phone in my front breast pocket as well!
i've got the same issues the sound in the headphones is lame compared to the nexus one or the magic for example.
Call volume is a real issue. I would encourage everyone to contact SE about it. If enough people complain they can boost the volume in a firmwire update.
Mod edit: not (yet) t&a related, moved to general
yes sony should incresase the in call volume it is very low if you are in traffic it becomes very hard to hear what other person is saying, sony plz solve this problem because X10 is first a phone then they should think about multimedia etc.
No doubt I'll get flamed for asking a question that must of been asked before. So I apologise beforehand, but I searched and couldn't find the answer.
I know it's known the Android volume is lower than WinMo, does anyone know of a way to increase it? I don't have issues with in-call volume. Just media volume like YouTube player and the Music Player.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
I am also encountering this volume problem. Also when I recorded a video, the quality was great, but the video volume is extremely low. Hope someone out there has a fix. Thanks in advance.
i would also be interested in finding out about this, at least someone reffer to us to a link and help us find the answer please
Looks like the problem is common to Android in general. The most promising info i found that somewhat made sense to me was this thread.
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00649.html
But I can find the files... make one of the cooks can make sense of it.
Bangsters lastest has the best volume I've heard yet.. haven't tried the other CM based Roms though I'm kinda hooked on this one.. just need to update my sig
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
i think it is a general android issue , my x10 also has the same issue
What's wierd is that I know it has the potential to be ear-splitting, but android just limits it for some reason. Sometimes when I first start playing music, The sound will absolutely BLAST for like half a second, and then 'corrects itself' down to a much lower volume.
I'm hoping they crack this nut soon too. The volume on Shubcraft is *okay*, but I still find myself turning it up as loud as it'll go. I have a pair of Hello Kitty headphones with a volume dial built in to them & they're really good for boosting music volume. For anyone who's having a problem with media volume, I suggest getting some headphones like this(not necessarily HK-branded lol).
Thank you all for the replies, at least I'm not the only one who was wondering. If it's just a general Android issue then I'll live with it, use headphones perhaps like someone suggested (not Hello Kitty though)
I have noticed though, with the game Paper Toss, the volume is loud. However when I use the YouTube player or Music Player and I find it difficult to hear at times. Unless I'm in a completely silent room. Doesn't make sense if It can go loud, why it doesn't. Or there's no App to boost the volume, that I can find anyway.
Although the sound level and qualitybis streets ahead of any HTC devicenive tried I still find the volume a little low in some apps.
The desire HTC can be improved with an app called dsp manager and it makes a difference. Anyone know of anything that will increase the volume output level of the nexus s?
It's a while since I had hold of a galaxy s but I seem to recall it being louder than the nexus s.
You will have to wait for cyanogen to bring that audio app over to the nexus s. I'm sure it will happen soon.
There was an awesome app for galaxy s called audiobooster.. dunno if it can be ported tho
I was just going to post the same question. On my old Samsung I8910 I was able to tweak the volume by going into service menu by pressing *#0002*28346# and you could carefully change the audio settings for speaker, headphones, bluetooth etc. Is there such a thing in Android operating systems that you can go onto service menu of the phone and change the limits? The existing volume is really low for my ears, sitting in the crowded restaurant I can't hear the other caller.
I also tried Samsung utilities application test by pressing *#0*# not working on this phone. Anybody can help? I don't want to wait for any apk. or root. Phone has really low volume, period. Samsung please fix it.
Carlito are you referring to the in built loud speaker it the earpiece volime not being loud enough? I was referring to the speaker but I haven't tried making a call yet so can't comment on the volume of the earpiece.
As above I guess we just have to wait for a fix from the devs.
Hello all
My first post here, although ive lurked for months now and have unlocked bootloader bricked and unbriked my play without needing assistance you guys are great. but one thing is killing me, the in call audio, and blue tooth audio is so low I find it reall hard to hear. Im a sound engineer so the headphone jack is no problem but I must be half deaf or this phone's audio is just really low
my model is r800i
android version 2.3.2
kernal version 2.6.32.9-perf
build no. 3.0A.2.184
I also have unlocked my bootloader
If anyone can help I would really apreciate it!
edit
Solved my problem as best i could by updating, xLoud seemed to make a difference for ringtones in call and bluetooth volume
Hi,
So I've done some searching on the boards and most sound issues with S4 seem to be the whole distortion situation, which was addressed in the latest update. I've seen the default_gain file but that's not available for the i9505 version is there an alternative file somewhere?
My sound quality is brilliant but for some reason my headphones are really quiet on the S4, I have to put the volume 80% sometimes 90% just to hear them loud enough to enjoy, but it's still too quiet for my taste. I don't wanna blow my ear drums but even at 90% the volume isn't even half of what it's meant to be.
When I plug the headphones into the computer, ipod, etc etc, they can go really loud and even at 50% volume is amazing... Not so much on my S4.
Does anyone have this issue? what can I do to solve this? I've tried the Adapt Sound feature and it helped a little but it's still shockingly low for what it's meant to be.
This happens everywhere, on Youtube, stock music player, PlayerPro, etc.
Device: i9505
Firmware: I9505XXUBMG4
Would appreciate any help on this
Cheers
EDIT: So after 4 hours of epic fail searching, I managed to sort this out.
If anyone has this problem, check out boterkaaseneieren's mod.
