Under battery should be the original one. Or if you have the original package.

you can compare 3 imei numbers: in the phone (in the Settings > About or *#06#), on the back plate and on the box.

Yes I have that, but I would like to see it inside phone's ROM or Radio or wherever it is.

Settings > About > Status or *#06# or use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to check.
(under the DEVICE ID section).

Of course, the simple solution is to remove the SIM and put it in a phone, but is there anywhere in the Nexus 7 3G settings which displays the phone number of the inserted SIM card?
I've had a look in Settings, under "Wireless and Networks", "Users" and "About tablet". I suppose, as it's not a phone, it was deemed unnecessary to display the SIMs number (or simply that nobody thought of adding that function to the 3G, but it would have been more convenient when topping up the card with credit.

Oops! Title went AWOL when I previewed the post - missed that!.
You should be able to find the number by going to Settings> About tablet> Status, then it's listed under MDN
On AT&T myself: Not showing in my settings...
Easiest way, if AT&T, is go back to www.att.com/buyasession (you went there when you set up your device), log back in and click on your device. Your "Subscriber Number" shows there.

I'm in the UK so that wouldn't apply to me, but thanks for your input, it may help someone else.
Hi,
I've been searching for a way on how to check if the unit has been serviced (refurbished)? Are there codes of some sort that we can use or a hidden menu that will show this information?

roaring from the beast NOTE 4(N910C)
Dial ##786# or *#*#786#*#* go to view and scroll down if there is big Yes then your phone is refurbished if NO then your phone is not. Google it for better understanding.
I try both of this code and it's not working for me.

checked

Edit: also check the IMEI at these sites: http://sim-unlock.net/imei_check/Huawei & http://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/warranty-query
Checked

So, from a further Google search, it's apparently a Huawei Ascend P7. Or, it has a P7's serial number? Strange!
What did the the other 2 links reveal? You only posted the result from the 3rd link in my previous post.
What is the model number printed on the rear, near the bottom of the phone?
Can you post photos of the front & rear of your 'P8' handset? Rear: clearly showing the text near the bottom with model number, etc like in this image?
Which country did you buy the phone from? If it's also from Pakistan, then at least we were on the right track when trying to update it from LP to MM with a C185 build: Huawei Pakistan P8 GRA-UL00 support page - look under 'Manuals & Download' lower down the page.
pics
i have attached the rear and front pics. i couldn't say any thing about the region of the phone because i buy it as used phone. here in PAKISTAN most mobiles peoples buy are used phones.

Looks to be a P8 externally from the photos you provided. Wrong IMEI & phone info could be the reason why the updates we tried in the other thread are not installing.
What phone info / model info do you get when checking the IMEI at these 2 other sites (I'm asking for the 3rd time)?
http://www.imei.info
http://sim-unlock.net/imei_check/Huawei
Results of the both sites are in pics. And sorry for late reply

Ok, no problem. Other site sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. . .try again later or tomorrow if possible.
The final site result also shows the same info. Pic attached.
Today I sent a text message to an unknown number (unknowingly, when I was asleep) as follows.
APMN;BVD:4.0.8#ANDROID7.0#H2560W1
What is this supposed to be and how did this message send automatically?
What kind of implications can this have?
Also, I'd like to know what the other data is supposed to mean.

Is that an IMEI number? I recommend you hide that from your post... Check that your number is/ is not one of the ones on the text. No idea what it would be about, but I dont like it - it looks like your IMEI number plus a few other details just got sent to someone? I hope I'm wrong... Who did it send to? Be careful.

Hide the number from your post and never post it. As far as I'm aware, people can steal ur imei and make ur phone useless. It is a risk here but it seems like ur number has already been sent. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong and raising false alarms.
A crap app that has text and other permissions from the sounds of it. Are you on stock rom or rooted custom

Its. All ure build info. Sir it sounds like you have a app on ure device with to many permissions. Are u stock unrooted rooted or custom rom? I would delete many apps. But first go into settings into permissions and see what apps have text permissions. And maby look if any can read info permissions. If its an app its aparantly setup to send at a specific time. But the infos already been sent so u may never see or hear of it again. But i would unistall anything untrusted.
And deny more permissions. Even stock apps can run correctly with some permissions shut down.

Yes. I found out just now that it was indeed my banking. I never logged in so that is a relief.
Edit: can my data still be monitored or was it just that app?

That I do not know. If your not rooted and uninstall it u should be good as it cant modify the system to stay on device
So I did the international root method and after I got everything set up, I noticed in my settings under about phone it shows a completely different number. Now my SMS still works fine with my actual number but I just can't figure out why under about phone it lists it as a different number.

No I mean the phone number it says I have at the top. My actual phone number is not what it shows but I still get everything just fine.
I've had the same problem. Solution was to put my sim card into an iphone and change the number of card there.

Sir, Mam. I've removed the attachment from your quoted post for security/privacy reasons (I'd personally refrain from publicly sharing my IMEI).
I've also sent you a PM.
Please advice if you want the screenshot re-attached to the post in which case I'd immediately do.

I haven't see that.
I know on the converted T-Mobile variant that the software will show the same IMEID for both SIM1/SIM2 but in actuality they are different.
That's what I thought you were talking about.
