@gamer35 please, keep calm.
I think the "problem" is hardware related. See if over headphones are the wheels of the volume or something and head if the problem also with other headphones

the problem is not with headphones , the headphones that i use are mic-free , with mic-free headphones plugged, the phone uses its built-in mic for calls , put the mic volume in this mode is too low , and i want to raise it

Please, tell me model of this mic. I hadn't a problem with a mic on friend's G2 or on my phone.
Again, try another mic or try it on an older smartphone

Ahhhh, i understand now. I think it's a bug of ROM.. And what do you use specially? A cm? Or the stock rom?
I search the problem on the CM database

The problem is that the stock rom is different by every nation. For example, last stock rom in italy has battery drain, but in last spanish there isn't its.
But, ofc, i think it's a hardware issue. Try the assistence or RMA

Hi
I got the problem today, because I enabled the radio and unplug the earphone without turn radio off. Then it cause the problem that u talked.
Cannot hear anything without earphone.
How to solve.
1. Use earphone to open the radio
2. when radio on, turn on ur SPEAKER. (U should hear radio now)
3. unplug ur earphone.
Then my problem is gone.
I think it is helpful for you.
get a thin plastic object or say.. a matchstick, jab it into the lowest part of the port (towards the battery) then see if you can jab the button.. the button which switches between handsfree and speaker must be jammed
i have this exact issue, tell us if uve fixed
fixed this by fiddling with a pin on the inside,
thankyou Aegishua
Hey, i had the same problem on my HP iPAQ, i solved it by openeing up the fone and desoldering the headfone jack and sorting out the terminals with each other by solvering a wire over the left channel to ground, right channel to groung and the mic to ground.
i do not advise anyone to attempt this unless they have a good understanding of electronics and soldering, huge risk of destroying your phone.
Sadly, i can no longer use headfones on my device unless i solder in a 3.5mm jack
You know what, i have exactly the same problem!
I tried that under battery speakerphone-headset button fix but it didnt work.
I HAVE to upgrade my ROM though, it runs lousy and the battery discharges in under 2 hours. (i dont really use it much anymore) Any reason why this is happening?

Did the button actually click?.. like did you feel it pop back out? if you did then thats probably not your problem. You might wanna try a different ROM or test the audio with a hands free (wired and bluetooth if you have them) and see how they go.. if it works then it could be an issue with your speakers themselves.
I've got same problem after buy a 2nd hand Atom Life...
But fixed it after jab the headphone jack switch with toothpick...
And yes...it's jammed...now my Life safe and sound again...
Thank you very much Aegishua...
i hv a same problem here
try with headphone but still no sound (only buzzing sound heard)..
try reflash with official rom problem still remain
try hard reset still no good
try downgrade to WM5 still no good
i'm in indonesia.. i've try to change the SIM also but still no effect..
any sugestion guys?
it's weird, coz i can still play MP3 without any malfunction..
only no sound when call/receiving call..
please assist me..
thanks
same with you....
hahahah....i got it....
just make a rotation when the matchstick is still in the hole...
yes...thanks a lot....

microphone issue

hi, my headset microphone doesn't seem to work anymore. Could that be related to my device running a cooked rom? it works once I unplug it by half a mm or so.

sounds like a defect...have you got any other headset to test? or can you test your htc headset with another device?
did anything happen to your device, or happened this fail just after the flash?
DN41
unfortunately neither one... if I plug the headset into the microphone jack of my laptop the same thing happens: works only if I pull it out a little bit - however, I don't know if the headset is supposed to work there in the first place.
actually i almost have the same problem
i bought my telephone form orange & the headset was working sso fine
but after i make the flash & change to cooked rom
the microphone didnt work at allllllllllllllll
go back to original.. again it were working soooooo fine
so, what the solution here?????????????

[Q] Noise cancellation fails with earphones

Normally (phone speaker & mic) I can hear people pretty well and they can hear me pretty well.
When I use earphones (that don't have a mic) the person at the other end can't hear me at all!
For a while I thought that it might have to do with how I was holding the phone while speaking - since I was using the phone's microphone to talk and my own earphones to listen I thought that that might be the reason that people couldn't hear me.
I did some test calls yesterday and that doesn't seem to be the cause.
I did notice that at the beginning of the call, I can hear sounds from my environment (cars honking, people talking etc) coming in over my headphones so I now suspect that the noise cancellation software isn't working properly when using earphones.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
Any fixes?
I tried searching both xda and googel but couldn't find anything that sounded relevant.
I've also tested this on multiple roms and with clean install of pure android, no differences.
Thanks!
Edit: I didn't read well .. Try to stick to head phones who has a microphone built in I cant think about another solution ..
Have u tried using earphones who had a microphone built in . try that first and post results ...
P.s I had this problem too before . hope I helped you

I've tried just about all possible options - the problem doesn't seem to occur when using a bt headset or wired headset with mic - in those situation the noise cancellation software seems to disable itself, which isn't ideal but is much better than it feeding the noise back into my earphones.
i have been using a stereo bt set for a while because it gives me the best overall experience but I would really like to go back to my wired earphones (shure e2c's) as the difference in audio quality is huge, but having to unplug the earphones everytime I recieve a call is rly annoying.
i was hoping that there would be a fix that I had somehow missed....
thanks anyways

Headphone jack Issue

I own the max pro and when i try to use my earphones with the 3.5 headphone jack it kinda malfunctions . It bugs out , that is it keeps on increasing the volume by itself (dosent stop) , In youtube it automatically hits the 'next' button . I Tried the same with bluetooth headphone and its working fine . Is it just me or do anyone face the same problem ? Thanks in advance .

Thank you for your response but the earphone is Sony , and i previously owned a Oneplus 3T and it worked perfectly fine . I dont think its the earphone's fault . Have you been experiencing any difficulties ?
Do you use a PU back cover? There have been instances when the side grips push & mess with volume. Try again without the case. Or else, a factory reset might work...
what you do is if the headphone has any mettel part or a mike keep it far from the screen.
i have had this that if the mettel part or the part having the mike touches the screen it doesnt behave properly

I dont think thats the problem , are you implying the metal part ? as I have said before , i dont think its a problem with my headphone . Thank you for your response though .
Try changing your earphones
I also had this issue while using my JBL T150A earphones. I used have some glitches while using earphones. Some times apps started automatically as I touched the screen and started them. Scrolling through the lists also used to stop at intervals and no smooth scrolling.
Next time, I used another earphones (Mi Piston) and everything worked with them. No glitches. No "auto touch" etc.
Try giving it a shot and use another pair of earphones.
Attached image shows how my 9Gag app is highlighted due to my earphones.

Some headphones have different arrangements for mic & audio out in the jack... It may work perfectly on one phone but may not work on another... So, try another headphone first, before resetting... (i'm using a motorola headset without glitches)
Having the same issue
I'm also having the same issue. I used iPhone headphone it works after I adjust it. I tried 3 more headphones and I get headphone symbol only and not with mic one.
The volume increase decrease and all glitches are really present. I'm facing such issue for first time. I have used many smartphones but never faced so much issue related to headphone.
By the way, how is the audio quality via headphone jack on this phone?
the audio is good it depends on headphones.
Well did someone face issue like the headphone doesn't go in properly in headphone jack ..... ?
yes i did but with some force i managed it in and now it does it properly.

Its awesome
yes i have faced this problem..
I have some problem like this i been buying max pro m1 two day ago and try use two different headset sony and samsung but doesn't work and i try with another phone and working i know this not my headset fault ,maybe my jack 3,55 is trouble so somebody please tell me about this sorry my English not good
I also face the same problem but what I found that the headphone jack is a tight fit for most of the headphone/earphones but gentle push might work.
I am using "1more Piston Fit" at present and they works way to much good.
Try your luck at Paytm and grab that.
yes, I have bought the asus zenfone max pro m1 two days earlier, and when im trying to insert my earphone into the 3.5 mm jack, its not working properly. It malfunctions, and get disconnected by itself.

i experienced it too. so, i pushed the pin harder into the 3.5mm jack; it fit snugly and the sound is uninterrupted now.
