I'm actually considering returning the note 4 because of this exact reason. my note 3 was smooth, but after installing cm12 the phone was never thjs smooth alsoI have noticed Bluetooth audio improving. my main problem is the note 3 camera, I do use the camera a lot with my kids and the note 4 camera is insane.

I actually have a nexus on its way. That's going back too.

Man, I just hope CM12 works out all the hardware kinks that were never solved on the Note 3. No NFC, sensors dying in deep sleep, S-Pen dying after a few hours, and erratic/no Bluetooth were total deal-breakers for me. I really hope the Note 4 is better on CM in terms of hardware support!

Nfc didn't work right on TouchWiz with no tap to pay. Tap to pay works out of the box on the note 4. Cm12 on this thing will be an absolute beast.

Tap and Pay worked just fine with Softcard (formerly ISIS Wallet) on the Note 3, just not with Google Wallet. And that's not what I'm talking about.
On CM11, NFC did not work AT ALL (no Android Beam, nothing) on several variants of the Note 3 because they used a different NFC chip from the rest of the variants and CM did not support that chip. I am hoping the Note 4 NFC chip is supported in CM12.

And WHY is this in the note4 forum???

Note II and....

Hi guys,
Before you read on: this might be a stupid question
just got my Note 2 last week. Amazing phone. But since I got another sim-card laying around, I was wondering which 2nd phone would you use next to your Note 2 ( besides Iphone 5 and S3, I gave S3 to my wife and I hate the iPhone 5).
So which phone would complement the Note 2 well..

Not a stupid question.. IMHO note 2 has everything, doesn't need any kind of complement but if money is not a problem for you then wait for the new nexus series... There's gonna be at least 3 or 4 and so you can try first than anyone and straight from google the new Android versions without messing with your note..

Not a bad idea . Although personally, I'd grab a Windows Phone 8 phone when they come out, only because the UI is refreshing (Android and iOS are starting to look like one another). Although if you wanna wait, Jolla says they're going to come out with a hardware device soon (and the N9 had a REALLY nice looking UI and concept of swiping to get things done). Sorry, Maemo/Meego fan here

[Q] Worth exchanging my Nexus 5 and 150euros for the Note 3?

I found this guy that wants to exchange his note 3 for my nexus 5 but i will have to add 150euros cash along with the nexus 5.
Do you think it is worth ? I love the pure android on the nexus 5 , but i love bigger screens. Also no bloatware is amazing on the nexus.
Can i make a note 3 really something near the nexus 5 (talking about software)(bloatware, etc)
I think it depends on you. You can remove bloatware. You can even load GEL on the phone like I did. But does what you're losing from nexus 5 matter more or less than what you're gaining with note 3?
To me, s pen, bigger screen, nicer camera, better speakers, and longer battery matter more. I won't get Android first but I have a nexus 10 for that.
My 2 cents. Just to tease you, Iattached photo of note 3 with GEL.

It looks very clean. Nice ! I love OTA updates , and the material and build of the nexus 5 , i just love it. But the big screen and better camera really turns me on !! I'm so confused.
My philosophy is that OTA is nice but along with being first comes bugs. And no matter how much people trash touchwiz, it's the most popular. If people are still buying it, really isn't that bad. It also adds elements to OS you don't get with Vanilla Android. My buddy has one and just like the HTC One I ogle the hell out if the build. But this Black Note 3 is tremendously nicer in hand than my old note 2, so it's not as bad. At the end of the day they all have cases on them. Note 3 does feel nice though.

The camera, to me, is phenomenal. There's a thread with samples in it, but the camera on my phone definitely trumps my point and shoot now. No reason to have a point and shoot when your phone has a camera like this. It's definitely better than the Nexus 5's camera.

Samsung Launches 2016 Tab S2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652

And is otherwise more or less the same as the 2015 version.
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-refreshes-the-Galaxy-Tab-S2-8.0-and-Galaxy-Tab-S2-9.7_id80150
Some people say this is more of a "downgrade" in terms of GPU power.
Strange. This is almost nothing upgraded. For me, main thing is it replacing tab s3, or we will see it in july, august?
just came here to post this, hopefully this means android 6 will come out soon for our s2's

I've been reading that they are likely not to launch the tab s3 this year now. Truthfully, aim fine with that. I love the bleeding edge but damn, it's hard to keep up anymore.
I did snag a Tab Pro S with Windows 10 and that's actually pretty amazing...

It will definitely be better for ROM development, being snapdragon has a lot more development than exynos cpu's in all phones. But then again it's a tablet so there will be limited to no development.
Assuming they don't lock the bootloader (as they did all the US s7 Snapdragons).
But yeah, they found that a mid-range 2016 processor might be easier/cheaper to produce than the 5433.
Hopefully this means 64bit Android 6.0 for the Tab S2 exynos...

I agree on the possibility, that this might mean no 6.0 for the exynos, but in any way we can't change that. I think it has a lot to do with the fact, that samsung really isn't making that much with their tablets in comparison to what they expected. Launching an overhauled, easier to develop tablet might be their way to make some buzz, but not invest that much in new development. I don't think that this means anything for the exynos variant concerning Rom development, since they are wholey other SoCs. Also smartphone sales were not as great as expected with the s6 and with China as new challenger in the market, samsung probably has to watch their expenses.

That's exactly why. Some people (ridiculous imho) might view the Note 6 being inferior to the to GS7, just by the simple fact of the number being lower. Seems not as new as the GS7. I guess to match iPhone 7 too.

I gave my s7 edge to the wife. My note 4 rooted is better battery and pimped to my liking. Too bad. That phone was gorgeous.
I used to root and flash a ton. For an experiment I tried using a stock ROM on my note 4. Found I didn't have anymore use for root and Roms and got used to it quick.
On the s7 I enjoy using Samsung pay since it uses a virtual card at the stores so when places like Target get hacked again, they won't have my real card number. And I can't use Samsung pay with root or Knox tripped.
Will get the note 7(6) when it comes out of it is water resistant and has a micro sd card slot.
Some people still enjoy flashing and rooting and that's cool. I just don't have the time anymore with work and raising a family.

Also evidently the Note 7 wont ship with Android N. just 6.0.1. These are all rumors or so called leaks but....hope it releases with flat screen option and Android N!
The Note series rarely, if ever launches with the most up to date Android. Since they launch almost in tandem, if not slightly before/after the official Android launch. Our 910T didn't get 5.0.1 until late April of the following year.

Well it was a great ride

I just got the s7 edge. Had my droid turbo for almost 2 years. My 2 complaints was the battery, why on earth a beautiful 3900 mah battery didnt last longer? Also the lack of updates, there is no reason on why stagefright was not patched yet. Marshmellow? I dont believe it. At lease the s7 edge will get updates. By the way, if your not like me and cant wait. the best phone will be the lg v20. I just couldnt wait any longer but was a hell of a ride!
Good luck brother, glad to have you while it lasted. I feel your frustration with the battery. Definitely should of added better battery management but oh well I guess. Enjoy the new phone! I'm actually going to keep mine for literally as long as it lasts. Going to replace the battery soon and see if I can squeeze another year out of it or so. I really want the Moto z droid force though. But none of the arrangements except the extra battery.
Rather ironic that you complain about the battery going bad, and you purchased an S7! Certainly hoping it is a fixed one.

The S7, S7 Edge, and Note 7 are the small, medium, large of the "7" series. People lumped them together that way anyway, but this year Samsung skipped the Note 6, so their Note numbering could catch up to their S series. They are numbered the same and have the same design language to all be one group, even though they are released at two different times in the year.

Galaxy Note 7 Battery Explosion Burns Down Jeep And Garage

The S7, S7 Edge, and Note 7 are the small, medium, large of the "7" series. People lumped them together that way anyway, but this year Samsung skipped the Note 6, so their Note numbering could catch up to their S series. They are numbered the same and have the same design language to all be one group, even though they are released at two different times in the year.

Whatever..you get the idea
yeah thats why I just skipped out of the note 7 lol. I dont even care if they"fix" it after the recall. With how crazy it was, I rather wait until the next note come out. I do like the s7 edge alot. I think my complaints of the turbo was settled with this phone. I did love my turbo though!

Look it up yourself if it's such a pressing matter
I think it is better. It is lasting all day for me. But if you dont need to upgrade right now. I highly recommend the new lg v20 when it comes out. the thing looks like a beast. I am overall happy with my s7 edge
