hi, i searched forum but there seems to be no other with this specific problem...
i´m using my Jade as MP3 player, and there is annoying gaps during playback... not between the songs, but during the song. seems to happen once at 10 mins or so. First i´ve been thinking of broken phone connector, ´cause it´s just like bad contact or broken cable... but it happens even with playback on system speaker too. Until today, i have been using bluetooth stereophones, and didn´t noticed this, after my BT deadset died, i´ve bought Porta Pro wired headphones and here my problem starts. MP3´s are played from 8GB SDHC Kingston class6, have 39MB free storage and 71MB free ram. Can´t do hard reset, too much apps i need almost daily. BTW, i´m using Jade to record audio too, with external mic, for work-in-progress recordings while training with band.
There are no gaps in recordings, works just fine. Only this MP3 playback...
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry, I thought, I don´t have this problem with the actual ROM, but this is not right.
Many of the HTC Devices have this Problem and you can hear it in many Devices very good, but in my Jade this MP3 skip it´s very minimal, but there it IS a skip :-( (**** happens)
For many Devices -Diamond, Touch HD, Touch Pro, ... - give it a Hotfix from April 2009 but nothing for the Jade .... :-(((((
thanks for reply, no one else having this problem ?
This thing is realy annoying me, this device is my only music player available...
strange that it never happened via AD2P/BT...
In Kaiser/Tilt section, there´s thread about the same, only fix seems to be flashing another ROM/radio, so please could anyone post their configuration and how their mp3 playback works? I have stock ROM.
I confirm so music skips sometimes. Very annoying thing. Any fix would be greatly appreciated.
I reported this problem long time ago. It is very annoying.
One would think that with the technology as it is playing mp3 files should not be a problem, but on Jade it is.

I have the verizon g2 and the bluetooth connects fine and all but sounds bad compaired to other phones even older ones. I guess im just an audiophile but it sounds very cracklie when a song get louder. I know i cant be the only one experiencing this but i have looked and looked and found nothing but great feedback about its sound. Has anyone else experienced this and maybe found a fix?

I see it more with talking on my car's BT than with audio streaming, but so far I am not that impressed with the quality. It works, but isn't all that great.

Yeah thats all im seeing also. But i hope it will change with an update
Using my Motorola Elite Sliver, Bluetooth sound has been just fine. Phone call clarity has been great; significantly better than my DNA.
Posted about this a while back on the Nexus 4 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44130362
It's -super- irritating, and I believe this is a bug in all recent android versions (after 4.1 I think) with the new bluetooth implementation. I was hoping we'd find a way to 'fix' it in a similar manner, but I have no experience developing for non-nexus devices. I'm glad someone else notices the crackle though, it's annoying to the point where I won't listen to audio over the G2's bluetooth anymore.
Just gonna wake this back up to see if anyone else has any ideas on what we can do here.... this issue blows on newer Android phones and we ought to be able to find a way to fix it ^^

I read through the thread you linked and it looks like you fixed the issue on stock Android ROMs. I have the AT&T D800 running CleanROM XE, also had the issue on stock G2 ROM.
I wanted to offer to test anything you came up with. I connect to a 2011 Hyundai daily and stream Pandora and XiiaLive.
Thanks in advance.
I ran into this as well, although I've only tried Soundcloud, Pandora and Google Music. Pandora is the only app in that list that has issues. Soundcloud and Google sound fine.

I actually found it sounds better on bluetooth than my old Rezound and my wife's DNA do. In wife's car, songs on bluetooth (any app) have an echo/hall effect. The G2 is the first phone that sounds normal with no echo. Plus, the song info is finally displaying properly on the screen. Just wish my car had bluetooth because then I wouldn't have to deal with the thumping sound I hear while plugged in via the aux/headphone jack and changing tracks. I have another thread here regarding the thumping noise.
Enable aptx. Bluetooth had been nice and clear for me even before doing so.

How do you do that? Is there a menu/switch for that?
Prop command in terminal emulator. Is around here on forum in another bt thread. Most variants aren't enabled out of the box. Hell, Verizon didn't even have the logo on the box.

Saw that thread. Figured that if the G2 was already set up for that, then you shouldn't have to go through superuser and ADB to make it work. I mean, if it is an advertised feature then it should be easier to activate. What am I missing here?
I went ahead and enabled aptx a few weeks ago to test it out... either my headunit doesn't support it or it doesn't seem to make much of a difference on my end as I still have the crackly highs as I did before. This was the same issue that I had on my Nexus 4 that I was able to fix by tweaking the sbc bitrate... I'm just not sure how to do that in the source code on this phone. (or if that's even possible here)
Could someone please link the thread to enable aptx? I am unable to find it or how to do it.
Or at least tell us here how to do it?
I am also getting the crackling over bluetooth, when plugged into an aux jack the sound is amazing, over bt not so much. Also track data is really wonky, it rarely works. When the track changes it shows the song info for a split second then says unknown. I've never had a problem with the track data in my car and this is the 4th device I have used in this car. This is a link I ran across for enabling aptx, don't know if it works I'm not rooted yet.

Same problem here, except my car stereo doesn't support aptx.

Just to pitch in -- I get the same crackling on music. Driving me nuts.
When I play music over my car stereo it's great. When I call using sync the person on the other side said it sounds like a whining noise for the entire call. The whining does fluctuate from moderate to extremely loud.

This sounds like a ground issue in your car maybe? Does it change pitch with engine rpm? Mine sounds like when your stereo is up too loud and the bass distorts, except it's only distorting for high's. Much more noticeable when listening to rock or something with a lot of cymbals. Rap/hip hop sounds fine (not really any high's there). Enabling aptx doesn't sound like a solution here, why would enabling a premium sound feature correct this when other devices I have used that don't have aptx sound better than my G2? Not trying to ridicule here just trying to keep the ball rolling. I really believe this is an issue with phone or bt antenna or something.
So I have this Note 3 which I like a lot. Big screen to watch series in the train, although after a while I got pretty fed up with the chord of the earphones, expecially when I had to get up, swiched to music and had to stuff my phone in some pocket.
So I looked around for some nice Bluetooth headphones and came across a nice deal on the Sennheiser MM 550-X. Just stating the model for any chance that someone is aware of some faults in this product.
Now, overall the sound quality is fine, which you would expect because of the apt-X thing which both devices support. But what really annoys me, is the following.
While listening to the native musicplayer, the music sort of studders. Not all the time, but like one or a few times per minute and then not at all for a few minutes. Some faults sound like pops, but some are real pauses for like half a second. Especially with those longer pauses I can distinctly hear that the music really 'pauses' and that it is not just the connection which fails while the music on my Note plays on.
So I suppose it has something to do with the apt-X coding. I already tried rebooting, killing background processes, switching off wifi and mobile data. I also tried different music players. Nothing seems to help.
The only time when I have almost no problems is when I'm at home, with te phone lying still on the desk.
I have a stock rom.
Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

That's difficult, because I don't have a phone which supports apt-X available.

Most phones these days support it.
Maybe a friend's?
Maybe the problem is something else entirely. You need to troubleshoot it.
I am just guessing, though. Never used bluetooth headsets myself.
Hey guys, I have a problem with the bluethoot playback, it stutters for a second randomly. It happens once every 5 or 10 minutes but it's pretty uncomfortable, I go through a creative speaker bombox and my two cars, another Spanish forum there are more people affected, someone else is wrong? The rom is indifferent, I spent with kk and I still happening with llp, thank you very much
Edit: bluetooth, not bluethoot
I have the same issue. I use my phone to play music (on SD card) in my car vua bluetooth and also use bluetooth headphones for same music.
And glad you noticed the bluethoot typo lol
I was having a similar problem with Bluetooth and Poweramp. I started using the Samsung music player and haven't had any problems yet
sent from somewhere
Same here....
Another thread was just created that's related to this problem. People are suggesting things like custom kernels.
Unfortunately for me, my phone doesn't have a Root method yet. So I'd welcome any solutions that don't require root.

I"m having the same problem with my phone. Regardless of which device my phone is sycn'd with, car, blue tooth speakers the sound skips/stops for a second then starts up again.
Samsung support wasn't much help, their resolution was to send the phone in.
Hey guys,
I've recently bought a Bluetooth headset (JBL E25BT), and noticed that there's a 1-1.5 second delay in audio while playing PUBG Mobile. Don't have any trouble with my wired headset. I don't see this issue while using any other apps or games (that I know of, I've only tried Asphalt 9 and Bully). I'd really appreciate it if anyone who plays or has tried playing PUBG Mobile with BT earphones could tell me if they face a similar issue. Any workarounds/quick-fixes are also welcome.
I'm on stock Oxygen OS 5.1.4.
Thanks! ?

Yes, this issue does not only occur on the OnePlus 5 but other devices as well. The game is not optimized to be used with wireless headsets, so for now just stick to wired.

Damn. I was hoping there was a workaround. A friend of mine used a Bluetooth headset (airpods I think) with a S9 and claimed he didn't experience any delay. Maybe he just didn't notice it.
No delay with bose qc2. At least none that I notice.

I was able to find my old Jabra BTs and test with those, still get a 1-1.5 second lag, only in PUBG. That rules out the earphones as the root cause, it's either OOS or PUBG. I'll see if my OnePlus One can run PUBG and test on that to narrow it down.
Mine too, running on Oreo 8.1 Note 9 and Sennheiser BT4.40. Any ideas guys ??
I also baught new i ball bt06 for pubg but then i experience low sound problem and also delay sound
I m also using a op5 with OnePlus wireless no audio delay but the audio is going to call audio I mean I'm able to control the volume by call volume and the audio quality is really very very bad can't hear a thing
Same issue here not even on OP,
I have Huawei mate 10,
tries with sony wi400
SFT true wireless, and an Isound bt200,
Also skullcandy smoking bud 2 wireless
all of them with delayed audio from 1 to 2 seconds and it is really anoying,
I mean i have also a bunch of wired headphones, but if being comfortable is the goal im better with wireless
Im on stock official Global Rom any modification to the EMUI
Exceptions
I used a low quality Bluetooth device which did not show the issue with sound quality. And also it never went in call mode.
But when i tried to play the same with a good brand i faced this problem.

yes,
there is work around for that.
1. start game with mic off. team speaker should be ON.
2. then turn OFF speaker.
3. turn ON mic only.
4. now turn ON speaker.
mic and speaker should be working fine now.
but you will get lower audio quality than usual.
at least this works for me.
try and replay.
After 0.10.X update mine is working fine.
Getting same problem with oneplus wireless..phone running on stock 9.0
I've also been having problems with my bt headset jvc has30bt but I don't get it since video playback is almost perfect
