[Q] Stuck in Safe Mode - Nvidia Tegra Note 7

In the lower left corner of my screen it says "Safe Mode" and no matter what I try it wont go away.
1) Rebooted
2) Reset to Factory default
Any ideas ?

Which tablet do you have? EVGA, HP, Advent, etc
Does it get through the Tegra note 7 screen and the following EVGA/advent/etc screen?
Try turning it off and then holding power and volume up button together for 5 seconds or until you get to the bootloader screen. I am assuming you already did this since you factory wiped it.
Did you happen to have a full backup from recovery? If not you can find one online easily and flash it over to your tablet. I wouldn't do that until I was sure it was not going to work any other way. Also, it could be a hardware problem.

it just froze up, I reset a couple times, then tried power+vol up then..

Not sure what the heck happened to my device. I was using it when it just froze up outta nowhere. I tried resetting it a couple times but it wouldnt get past the android screen. Hard Reset, nothing. So I tried going into APX mode, power+vol up(idk why) then, it wouldnt get past the 'Acer' screen after that. So I let it charge overnight now it doesn't show anything at all. The power button does light up, but thats it. what the heck just happened?
NOTE: I lent out my sdcard with the update.zip in it. would putting my sdcard back in fix the problem or is it bigger than that?
is this thread a possible solution to my problem? problems seem similiar

can someone please help me find out what happened with this, I really dont wanna call Acer n send it in if I can fix the problem myself

Eh, well, need to know the condition of the tab. Sounds like it is stuck in APX mode. (Black display, white PWR light). Is this the case?
Generally, you might be able to PWR down, by press and hold the pwr button for several seconds. Then try to boot it normally.
Oh, BTW, Pwr and Vol+ is not how to get it to APX. That usually gets the stock bootloader which really isn't much of anything unless you have an update.zip on your ext sd card.
Were you completely stock? (not rooted or custom rom)
MD
Yes that's the condition, black screen white pwr light. It is rooted, thats it. Running ICS 4.0. I wont be able to get my sd card until wednesday so if I need that update.zip file I'll have to wait a few more days. Its completely off right now, I tried powering on and off a few times and I got nothing just a blank screen. Im unsure, what to try next??

Yeah, you're going to need an SD card. And make sure the tab is charged.
In the meantime, you can try a couple things just to see it you can get a different response. However, understand this.
1. You can probably forget any personal data that's stored on it. Photos, downloads, music, etc. Just to prepare you.
2. You probably have a corrupted bootloader partition. How it happens, with a normally functioning tab, nobody really knows.
You can try doing a data wipe. Usually we would wait till you get an SD card, but I'm curious if you can get anything on the display. To do this, with the tablet off, Press and hold PWR, while at the same time, continiously cycle your rotation lock left and right, quickly until you see "erasing user data" or something similar on the display.
Another thing, manually put it into APX mode. This involves using a paper clip, and press and hold the "reset" button near the USB port, then press and hold PWR. Count to 4 and release PWR, and 1 second later release the paperclip. Then plug your tablet into the PC, and see if the PC loads the drivers for it. You should already have installed the Acer USB drivers. If not, get them from the Acer site.
Understand, your chances of getting it going again, are less than 50/50. But, we all will give it a shot.
MD
This is exactly the situation I'm in... Black screen, White power light...
I was in the middle of an app, when tablet rebooted, wouldn't boot back up..
I was able to get into CWM recovery... investigated, and found that /system wouldn't mount... So, I was prepared to re-flash, so I first went to do a nandroid backup of my data folder... I also had an old nandroid backup, so I decided to restore that... After I did that, I couldn't even get into recovery anymore...
I've tried setting my tablet into apx mode, and trying to flash, but they always seem to freeze at "uploading image" (both with afterota unbrick and blackthund3r's tool)
Now, blackthund3r's tool will actually get the acer logo to show up, with "Entering download mode...", so that leads me to think the tablet isn't completely shot? It just gets stuck during the upload image...
Tried the erasing data as suggested by MD, but no luck, just black screen...
What is the sdcard method that you are speaking of? Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks in advance
---------
Edit:
Tried placing update.zip on sdcard for flashing, tried turning on the tablet with volume down...No joy
Hopefully someone has some other ideas for me? Thanks again in advance.

Edit 2:
After a day of searching, finally came across this post.
Fixed and saved my tablet... Whew!

LG G2 soft bricked (DO NOT WANT TO FACTORY RESET)

I installed a software update and it asked me to install it, so i did after that i rebooted and thats when it all happened.
The main reason I do not want to factory reset is because I have photos that I didn't get the chance to backup. So if there is a way to avoid factory resetting or a way I could somehow access photos, backup it up then factory reset.
My phone is stock, it has been rooted before though if that matters. As i turn the phone on LG logo shows up, straight after that i get text on the top left of the screen saying "boot cerfification verify" and other stuff then goes into a black screen and stays like that until I turn it off.
- Not able to get into download mode
- CAN GET INTO RECOVERY BUT I WANT TO AVOID IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

If you can get into recovery, you can export your photos to the computer by using adb pull.
There might be another way but this is how I know

Nexus 7 stuck in Erasing factory reset loop

I've been lumbered with an original Nexus 7 (ME370T) that's in a bad state. The device has been attempted to have a factory reset done, by using the 4th button under the plastic casing, (under the volume down button). Its now stuck in the "Erasing" screen. It did have stock OS and bootloader.
I have tried accessing the bootloader using volume down and power buttons, but it only ever reboots into the factory reset mode, where I'm greeted with the green android wiggling its ears with the caption "Erasing", and I've left it doing that for several hours, with no sign of any progress. I've pressed some combination of volume buttons, and managed to get it to display the text under that splash screen, where all it says is "Formatting /data..."
I don't know whether I could use ADB or fastboot with the device in this state as I'm sure it needs to be booted into the bootloader for USB communication to work, and the bootloader was still stock/locked anyway.
Any ideas? It would be a shame to bin the whole thing, as I was sure that they are always recoverable in some fashion, perhaps JTAG, although I have no experience of that.
Same issue, exactly the same... Probably another broken EMMC - I know the OP is 3 years old but maybe someone reads it who found something I missed

[Help needed] Phone will not boot after getting pop-up message

Update: *SOLVED*
I got a strange message that popped up on my phone this morning. It stated "It's gonna rain. Take a umbrella with you". It stayed on top everything else and wouldn't go away. I thought that it could possibly be one of my weather apps and got stuck, so I rebooted. After that point, it gets to the Google loading screen animation and never passes. After subsequent reboots, it does the same thing. I am able to get into TWRP recovery though.
Does anyone know what be causing this and/or how to remedy it? Might it be some type of malware? I have attached a screenshot of it.

Thanks for the link! I do have GO Weather installed, and I have no issue with getting rid of it. Although, I'm unsure how to do that since I can't boot. Any recommendations?

well, since you can boot in twrp you can do a factory reset.
safe mode is a better idea but i dont think you can boot into safe mode without starting the phone.
here are the steps but i dont think it will work so try to delete dalvik and cache from recovery, if that didnt work I think factory reset is the only option unless someone has a better idea
Make sure your device's screen is on, then press & hold the Power button.
In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
You’ll see a “Reboot to safe mode” box. Touch OK.
Your device will start up in safe mode. Try using your device normally. Remember, you won’t be able to use any installed apps

I tried clearing the cache and dalvik earlier, along with deleting the GO Weather app files, but that didn't help. I thought about safe mode, but I don't see a way to do it without already being booted to Android.
What if I dirty flash the same stock 6.0 ROM I'm using? I'd like to keep files and apps intact, so I'd prefer to not perform a factory reset, but will if I exhaust other options.
I just realized that I never came back here to update on what happened. I wound up booting into TWRP recovery, connecting to my PC via USB, backing up any data that I needed, then factory reset. That took care of it. Luckily, that also cleared up some other minor, but annoying, issues I was having. Needless to say, I haven't been and won't be using GO Weather EX any longer.

Need Help Making Tablet Usable

I have a couple tablets that were setup as Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) for commercial truck drivers. Booting the tablets will only present a data entry screen. and trying to access anything else on the tablet gives the message "Screen is pinned. Unpinning isn't allowed by your organization". I'd like to reset the tablet to be a normal tablet. Does anyone have any info on how to do this?
Tablet model: Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T377P (with sim for Sprint)
From the recovery screen it appears to be Android 6.0.1
I haven't tried anything at this point as I didn't want to make it any harder to reset the tablet. I don't even know if reversing this setting is possible? I haven't been able to find any info from others that have tried to deal with this.
Thanks for any help.
I still haven't had any luck resetting these tablets. I tried booting into safe mode. From there I added a new user, and that user had a normal home page with all apps available. But, when I rebooted (not to safe mode) the tablet went back to only showing the pinned screen.
While I was in safe mode, I checked the security settings for "Pin Windows" and it was off. So I'm not sure what method is being used to force showing only this one app.
Anyone have any thoughts how to proceed from here?
When off, try Home, Volume Up, and Power. Once in recovery (you might end up in Odin mode, if so, shut off and try the other volume button), factory reset from there.
