Hello, I am successfully running rooted KitKat and trying to get the g2 xposed to work. I don't get any errors installing and applying xposed or downloading modules, but when I restart my device it just says that the latest xposed framework is not currently active. Have tried reinstalling the framework and the modules many times to no avail. Anyone else having trouble or a fix?
Bump
It is very annoying having this update as I have gotten used to my menu button on the left and back on the right, as well as 380dpi (can't fix the camera and messaging apps without xposed)

Seems it's a know issue on the Xposed thread. I can confirm it doesn't work for me either and I'm hoping for a fix soon.
the current version of xposed (as of this post) does not work with the LG G2 variation of kitkat. The next version of xposed will. However, the "g2 xposed" module will also have to be updated...
I miss the you tube full screen mode for now and also hate too many notification on the status bar. Rest everything love the Kitkat
I was unable to Launch my Quickmemo. I'm on stock kitkat rom, rooted. Anyone who can help? What are the processes/apps that control Quickmemo? Maybe I accidentally deleted/greenified/modified some essential system apps.
Also, the following were the things I'm playing with in the past days:
1. Latest Dorimanx kernel
2. Xposed framework with the following modules: app settings, gravity box (kk) and greenify
Maybe uninstalling some of them may work. Thanks.
I have extensively searched the forums here for a solution, and haven't been able to find one. If someone knows how to fix this, or can try to help me, I would really appreciate it. I just updated my phone to Marshmallow, and everything is running great. I have SuperSU up and running, and TWRP installed. Everytime I try to install Xposed, my phone boots up, but once the boot finishes it just hangs on a black screen forever. The only way to get the device to boot is by flashing the Xposed uninstaller. I have tried disabling all of my Xposed modules in hopes that would fix the problem, but it did not. I am trying to flash the xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip by the way. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Should I try to find and flash version 78? I've seen a bunch of people having no issues installing Xposed on Marshmallow, so I assume I am doing something wrong. I tried redownloading the file a few times too.
Thank you very much in advance for trying to assist me!! Happy Holidays everyone!
after flashing xposed, do you wipe both caches?. You also can try to install xposed application (apk) first and later flash xposed from twrp.

Thanks for your response. I tried wiping both caches before and after installing Xposed. I also tried it once with only wiping cache after. Each time, I already had the Xposed apk downloaded because I had Xposed up and running on Lollipop.
I'm running "xposed-v78-sdk23-arm64.zip" without issue on my MXPE on MM.

Just tried that version. Same issue, boot animation finishes, then it's just a black screen forever. I'm going to try uninstalling the Xposed app and then installing the framework and see if that works.
Just for kicks, I uninstalled xposed v78 and installed "xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip". It's working great on my phone.
I would try again. Do a hard power down during the hang at the black screen (hold power button down for 10-20 seconds?) and reboot to see if that fixes thing.
Edit: I should note, I cleared all the cache (including Davlik) before and after the install of xposed.

Just wanted to let you know I got it to work. I had to uninstall the Xposed app, uninstall the framework, and then reinstall the framework and reinstall the app. I had a few modules mess me up and cause the black screen and I had to start all over a ton of times, but after hours and hours I finally seem to have everything working for now. Thank you for trying to help, I appreciate it!!
Can you please advise how to uninstall xposed framework? I'm trying to do it via xposed Uninstaller but no luck... Thx in advance for any help

I'm not sure, I currently am not using Xposed anymore. The only way I know is to use the uninstaller and to uninstall the app from your phone. I'm sorry if I can't be of more assistance :/

Do you have any modules installed? If you install Xposed and then install the app, everything should work. Certain modules may not be compatible and they may prevent your phone from booting. You may have to turn off all modules and then turn them on one at a time and see what causes your issue.

Possible Solution
I had the same problem on my moto, I ended up flashing version 86 of xposed framework and also updated the app to the alpha 4 version. After I did that I had to clear cache and then use root browser to change my xposed disabled file to another. After a long reboot I have xposed running again.
Hey Guys...so i seem to have this bug whenever i install the xposed framework v86 sdk23 arm 64. everything works fine with the exception of allowing me to grant apps permissions in the settings. when i try to, i get a screen overlay detected error. i dont have twilight or a file manager installed. i know for sure its caused by xposed, because i've flashed 3 times today alone and am running stock rooted/debloated. everything works fine until i flash xposed, and if i flash the uninstaller, everything goes back to running as it should. has anyone ever experienced this? thanks in advance everyone.
answer found (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...y-detected-switched-off-t3425248#post67958599). I was searching for a few days, and this was posted yesterday, so please dont yell at me guys lol
Hey there,
I've had a problem with my fire TV gen 2 with FireOS 5.0.5 (rooted) that sometimes this b*tch would not boot with xposed modules enabled that I'd really love to have.
Now I finally seem to found an answer to my problems. One Xposed module that has been causing alot of problems but which I REALLY wanted to use was the "Holo Themer" modules which allows you to change the UI of apps. This one is really cool because it allows you to open Supersu, Xposed App Settings etc - you just have to set the ui to "Material Dark". Otherwise that apps dont open or FC.
What I found out is that they seem to be running fine for one boot, JUST AFTER ENABLING. I'm still investigating on how to make them permanently run even after reboot but now I wanna explain how to get em running at all.
So heres what you should try:
1. Download and install all the xposed modules you wanna use and also activate them.
2. Reboot by just unplugging and replugging the power cord.
3. If the firetv still boots, youre fin.
3b. If you end up in a bootloops:
4. Reboot to recovery and delete the following file: (through file explorer in TWRP): /data/data/de.rovo.xposedinstaller/conf/modules.list (dunno if i spelled the name of the app correctly but you get the point if youre a pro or advanced user)..
5. Reboot the device
6. Go to xposed installer after full bootup and re-enable all the modules. (because u deleted the modules.list the firetv did boot without ANY xposed modules activated).
7. Unplug and replug power. This time the b*tch should boot up with all the modules enabled. Mysteriously though, when you reboot again, you might end up in a bootloop again.. So this might just work for one boot....
---
Incase you still end up in a bootloop:
Delete the dalvik cache in the recovery, delete the modules.list as explained above. Reboot.
This usually means that your xposed module (version) is not running well with the firetv. So try to find out which module is causing the problem and try another version.
For the Holo Themer for example I found out that the latest version just isnt workijg for the firetv.. even with that "lil trick" .. so downgrade to 3.0 (in that case) and then rinse repeat.
-----
Enjoy
P.S. This is meant for pros or advanced users who really want to use certain xposed modules that seem to cause bootloops, not gonna answer any questions, esp. if theyre noob questions.. if you dont get what im sayin here just dont bother pls and keep on learning.
