The correct path is:
Settings > Connections > More Networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names
Shoot, typo. All the same - not there.

You didn't tell what rom you are using. But I guess you are using a custom. As a stock rom should have that settings.
Anyway try this: install Shortcut Master app, open the Menu > Search, enter 'apn' or 'apnsetting' to search.
Finally tap on the search result (if any) to open.

Thanks for the info!
I'm actually using stock ROM and no, it doesn't have that setting.

Thank you sir!, I was able to find "com.android.settings.Apneditor"
but it wont launch, I guess its locked out, ...

Evil verizon strikes again... I tried that as well.
Yea. Even changing these settings (MMS Port to 8080) didn't prevent Adblock Plus from blocking my outgoing MMS messages.

I've got a weird problem with my own cooked roms:
If I use Manila, and go to Settings tab -> try to go to 'all settings', it shows my Connections-screen (with My ISP on it etc).
Now I cannot reach the rest of the Settings.
Can somebody help me?
I've tried lots of things, but I can't seem to fix it.

You want this registry key (if you're using 6.5):

This is my suggestion:
1. Goto the Ext Manila_core_2_5_xxxxxx and open the app.reg inside the "0409" folder.
Edit the following registry to be like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0
This will enable the WM6.5 settings icon in the start menu
2. Goto the EXT Settings_Improvement_x_x_xxxxxxxx and open the app.reg.
Edit the following registry to be like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0
It will do the same as above
3. Inside Settings_Improvement_x_x_xxxxxxxx open the "files"folder and delete the "settings.lnk"
This will delete the HTC settings icon that sends you to the Settings Tab, which IMHO is stupid.
Cook your Rom and flash it again.

Yes it will not work without it. Kinda works like handsent works with messaging. After install when u hit dialer ull get option to choose which dialer u want

No he isn't using that dialer. Download from aloyious or something like that. Pull it from that Rom.

unzip the rom.zip
system,
app,
contacts.apk just copy/paste it to sdk tools.
adb remount
adb shell
push contacts.apk /system/app
exit
adb reboot

My life sucks. I pressed the button and long pressed the button. On press nothing happens and on long press the voice dialer opens. I can see the apk in my folder.
I'm running Fresh's rom.

Try going to Settings>Applications>ManageApps and clearing the data for "dialer" and "People"(the one that has a phone icon)
Edit: I'm running Fresh's as well and it works for me. If that doesn't work clear them again and goto "Contacts" under ManageApps and clear data/defaults. that should fix it

GOT IT! Tried it a second time and it worked!
I just installed didn't have to do anything extra just pushed the apk,rebooted,and then pressed phone. It asks which one you would like to use(phone/contacts). If not id say clear the defaults like stated above.

Hmm, I know this is possible but unfortunately I have installed a custom rom which already has this functionality and I cant seem to find the setting that enables/disables it.
if you go to the manilla settings and click menu> All settings you will get the windows mobile settings window.
I will try and find this information somewhere.

First of all thanks for this great ROM, i have one problem with it is, I can't change the OEM marketplace with MarketPlace config.
When I change it or try to restore the default values, I have an error message in the market place saying there is no results... do you have any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Still no luck, I have the right Marketplace configured in the marketplace but when I open it, I still have no result...

I restarted the phone after each modification...

Things looks right on my phone...
If I start from the beginning,
I update my phone's rom with vanilla -> format everything -> configure my live account -> install bazaar -> install marketplace config -> give root to marketplace config -> change OEM marketplace -> turn off / turn on.
Am I missing a step?

So I'm abroad right now with my unlocked sprint s4. I can use the sim card to call and sms without any problem, but I don't have access to data, eventhough my plan includes it!
also,when going to system update-->uicc unlock, it says:"mobile data not available"....what does it mean? How can I resolve it and define my apn settings???
This is so annoying for such an expensive device and a "world" one!

i believe you need to root your phone to gain access to the APN to manually connect to the data server

My phone is rooted...the question is: do I have to flash a customized rom over the stock rom in order to gain access to this option? In the stock rom sprint/Samsung eliminated this option, you can't change the apn manually!
I'd really appreciate if you can help or if someone knows if a customized stock (also recommend which one is better) can get/let me access these apn settings.

Had the exact same issue and got it fixed ..
here is how..
if your phone is already rooted..
open play store :
Download any APN database (i use HiAPN ) .. install
use titanium back up(PRO) to make that a system app.
if PRO version not available use root explorer to move the .apk to system/data..
Restart Phone.. SU will pop-up allow .. and Voila!!!

I'm going to try it now, but didn't completely understand: Can I do it over the stock sprint rom? I prefer to leave it as is right now, and not add/replace with a customized rom...
Where do I find this apn database? Can I edit it with my local carrier apn settings?
Also, How do I use the titanium backup app to make the apn database to an app?
Isn't the HiAPN an app to begin with?

I have another problem and thought you might have encountered it as well and know how to fix: When i'm trying to do a short dial with a "*" before the number , I'm getting this message :"Connection problem or invalid MMi code". Is there a way to fix it?

I'm on stock rom (sprint), software version L720VPUAMF9, and what other info?
'm just getting this annoying message and can't dial any "quick" dial with a "*" (star) before the number....
What does the "#0011#" do?
I'm really at loss and frustrated with the stock rom of sprint and the strange stuff they/Samsung did with the phone...
Is there a way to fix it without installing some customized ROM?

I did now, and it didn't help...when I tried to add a "#" after the number (for instance *151#) I got a "USSD code running" message...what is it????

Could you try a factory reset and let me know....
Edit.. Back up before resetting
and also check the USSD/MMI Fix app on playstore .. please research you will find a slution.

1. I'm afraid to do a factory reset, as it will (most likely) cancel the "unlock" sprint done for us, won't it????
2. What is this USSD/MMI fix app.... just checked it, and it looks like some safety issue, not something that will allow/let me do a "speed dial" with a * before the number

Hi, I'm from London and I got a Sprint S4 from the USA. I unlocked it, rooted it and got the mobile data working thanks to this article:
