Can someone help me with this..... - HD2 General

Main Settings in Start Menu instead of Manila settings
How can i register tweak this.....
PLS HELP......

Hmm, I know this is possible but unfortunately I have installed a custom rom which already has this functionality and I cant seem to find the setting that enables/disables it.
if you go to the manilla settings and click menu> All settings you will get the windows mobile settings window.
I will try and find this information somewhere.

Install BsB tweaks, there's a setting for this...

Has no one the solution for my problem ....
BSB does not work....
No one with a solution...
I just one the original settings not the manila settings when i push on settings in the start menu...

If you cannot make it work with bsb, then just use the way around...
Hit start -> settings -> menu -> advanced, and there you go

Solution to DISABLE the large start menu

Hi every one
After several trails of trying to disable the large start menu in roms that do not have this option in the Settings > personal or system, I found some how a slight solution.
1- You need any registry editor, some cooked roms include this application, but if you need one, you can get it from here
2- Open registry editor then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu
Open the key ( Enable ) and change the Value data from (1) to (0).
OK then soft Reset.
Regards
Hashimi thank you for your help to disable the large start menu

Hi, sorry for my laziness
Ok, for other large menus, really I don't have any Idea, but still you may try this thing...
download the large start menu cab from here , install it , then go to settings , you will find it there , just open it and disable , then soft reset
Waiting for feed back because I removed the rom with the large menus

Start --> Einstellungen --> Not working :'(

Hi
im not sure if this is the right location to place this thread.
ive a major problem with my touch diamond. i installed quickmenu_en_2.7 on my device (german wm6.1) and noticed that Einstellungen was lost. so i tried to help myself and did
start > quickmenu > option > command > settings > create shortcut
and then selected \windows\startmenü\einstellungen
it worked quite fine. i was able to select the einstellungen (persönlich, system, verbindungen) directly from the startmenu. but therefore i had to select
start > settings > quickmenu-settings (or sth like that)
so i went to \windows\startmenü\einstellungen, changed the name of "quickmenu-settings" to "Einstellungen" and moved it to \windows\startmenü
all good so far. then i decided to delete quickmenu and to test smallmenu.
Start > Einstellungen is now not working anymore. nothing happens if i click it. i also cant find it in \windows\startmenü anymore.
HELP, anybody!?
is there a settings.exe in the windows folder anywher which i could select/ redirect instead.
i dont want to do the hardreset...
I had also compatibility problems with quick menu on the diamond. The program wasn´t updated a longer time before the diamond released. I think,. there are some driver problems with the newer rom. Also wisbar has little problems...maybe this rom version has problems with this form of opening the start menu.
i also think that im not the only one with that kind of problem.
sth similar here (in german):
http://www.pocketpc.ch/htc-touch-diamond/43653-start-einstellungen-problem.html
does anybody know if there is a way to start the settings/einstellungen directly from the explorer and not from the startmenu. is there any kind of *.exe anywhere in the windows folder? i guess then i could redirect it.

WM - Settings -> System -> Remove Programs
Samsung - Settings -> (scroll down) Memory Settings -> Main Storage (this will remove prog's installed on my storage as well as memory card too) - Find your program and delete.

What about the memory settings in the Samsung setting menu?
Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of the opera9.5 installled in the phone? i've downloade/installed the new opera10 and have no use for the 9.5 version.
Opera 9.5 is included in the ROM!
You can only flash new ROM without Opera 9.5

Just delete it from the start menu so you dont have 2 Opera icons in the start menu.
As previously mentioned by another member it is in the rom so cant be removed unless you flash a cooked rom.

I have tried this method. However I do not find any listing of apps that I have installed to "My Storage".
I installed a flashlight app from here on xda, via .cab file. It didn't work, so I am trying to un-install it. It was installed to "My Storage".
Although unable to remove this app on-phone, I was able to uninstall the cab using ActiveSync (synce-kpm in my case) from a desktop PC.

[SOLVED] Problem with Manila?

Hi guys,
I hope this is the correct forum for my question:
I've got a weird problem with my own cooked roms:
If I use Manila, and go to Settings tab -> try to go to 'all settings', it shows my Connections-screen (with My ISP on it etc).
Now I cannot reach the rest of the Settings.
Can somebody help me?
I've tried lots of things, but I can't seem to fix it.

You want this registry key (if you're using 6.5):
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila]
"IsWM6.5"=dword:1

This is my suggestion:
1. Goto the Ext Manila_core_2_5_xxxxxx and open the app.reg inside the "0409" folder.
Edit the following registry to be like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0
This will enable the WM6.5 settings icon in the start menu
2. Goto the EXT Settings_Improvement_x_x_xxxxxxxx and open the app.reg.
Edit the following registry to be like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0
It will do the same as above
3. Inside Settings_Improvement_x_x_xxxxxxxx open the "files"folder and delete the "settings.lnk"
This will delete the HTC settings icon that sends you to the Settings Tab, which IMHO is stupid.
Cook your Rom and flash it again.
Hope it Helps
Thanks guys, I'll try this tonight.
Thanks, it worked!

The correct path is:
Settings > Connections > More Networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names
Shoot, typo. All the same - not there.

You didn't tell what rom you are using. But I guess you are using a custom. As a stock rom should have that settings.
Anyway try this: install Shortcut Master app, open the Menu > Search, enter 'apn' or 'apnsetting' to search.
Finally tap on the search result (if any) to open.

Evil verizon strikes again... I tried that as well.
Yea. Even changing these settings (MMS Port to 8080) didn't prevent Adblock Plus from blocking my outgoing MMS messages.
