There are a few things you could try. Look at some of the previous threads on this. I had the same problem yesterday and found the solution by searching.

I've been trying to restore my Nexus 4 back to stcok andriod.. but, I do not have the 4.2.1 factory image as google has taken it down.. I need it to be able to flash Android OS back on my device.. I have been looking all over trying to find a link for a download, but I have only seen links that have taken me to a non-existent Googe webpage. Does someone know where or how I can find the 4.2.1 jop40d factory image?
I have tried to use the 4.2.2 image but it does not flash.
install a nexus 4 toolkit and it will give you the choice to download factory image ...their is a site I will try find you it

Wug's toolkit is your best bet, it's in the original development forum. One click flash back to stock, should be 4.2.1 I would think.

Just tried to use Wug's toolkit, but the kit attempts to download the factory image from the google website and obviously fails since it is not there.
EDIT: Nevermind, used wrong toolkit. It is now downaloding. Will let y'all know when it finishes.
So, the device is recognized when booted into Ubuntu OS, and the toolkit is telling me that it is booting it into Fastboot. even when the computer checks for fasboot, the phone remains in the normal on. When i reboot into fastboot manually, the computer no longer recognizes it.
This thread can be closed. It finally went through.
I want to restore my nexus 7 to a factory state and flash the stock rom using the nexus root toolkit ... so when i choose to " flash stock + unroot " with the option softbricked checked , it starts to download the image and flashes it but stops after successfully installing the bootloader and no further progress goes ... please tell me what i'm doing wrong ( trying to flash 4.4 for 2012 nexus 7 )
Did you not get the OTA update for 4.4, I only got it last night so if you leave it, it may come automatically

I actually installed the OTA but when the device rebooted , TWRP did the installation of the update and then i got stuck at the kit kat logo ) the circles ) .. so i'm trying to reinstall stock kit kat with Nexus Root Toolkit but the progres stops after installing the bootloader
I ran the "adb devices" command in sdk folder but can't recognize the device , is that the problem ?? and how to get adb to work with the device knowing that recovery fails and i only have fastboot
Dear all,
I am a noob to android (just bought a nexus 10 and nexus 5 this month) I decided to root my devices. My nexus 10 was originally rooted with 4.3 and today an update popped up for 4.4. so I clicked restart and install, Now its stuck on the boot-up screen with the 4 dots moving around.

How do I get it to start on 4.4. I do not mind losing all my stuff.. I also don't mind the stock android, as i never installed any custom roms.
I was a previous iOS user and thought it'd be fine to just update like I did on my jailbroken iOS device.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could give me simple steps to follow..
I'm really sorry if this question has been previously asked but I searched and everyone with my problem have uploaded screenshots of their computer.. i didnt use a computer to update..
I want to just wipe data/factory reset from the boot setting but I don't want to screw things up before confirming with you guys. Also I've got clockworkMod incase thats important
Thanks a lot for all the help!
The update would have worked fine if you didn't have clock work mid installed. First thing to try to fix it is go into clock work mod recovery (hold power and volume buttons) then you can do a factory reset from there. If it still doesn't boot then just download wugfreshs toolkit. It will do it for you. I would tell you how to manually do it but since your new to android it may be better to get it done using a toolkit which is easier. In his toolkit there is an option for return to stock and from there just follow the instructions. You can search for wugs toolkit for nexus 10 and it should come up.

Hi,
I have a Nexus7(2012) I was previously running Paranoid Android and tried to update to 4.4.
I am using CWM recovery and I used the factory reset option in before I flashed.
The 4.4 ROM didn't work (because it was an ota update). When I tried to boot back into Paranoid Android it wouldn't go past the google screen, and after waiting on the screen it would put me back into recovery. I also don't have a backup to flash. I am also really bad with the fastboot and adb stuff. I just want to put 4.4 on my device, how do I do that?
(I can't transfer anything from my computer to nexus 7 because my computer won't recognise it. But it will make the USB connected sound.)
Thanks for any help!
It also happened to me but I was update via ota and its stuck in bootloader but I still manage to go into recovery mode. I also don't like using adb fasboot but I thing that is the only way that you can bring your nexus to 4.4. But that's only my advice. Maybe other great dev can give you another solution.

Hey guys, just like the title says...I cannot get a recovery on my nexus 7 2013 (Wifi). I don't get it, I had this thing rooted with TWRP for over a year and a half on Lollipop 5.0.1 and haven't really used the device for a long time....Now Marshmellow is out and my Nex 7 (being the only Nexus device I have currently) figured I'll update to 6.0 and check it out using Wug's toolkit like always. So I used the unroot flash stock option and successfully flashed 6.0 on my device but for some reason cannot get it to boot into a recovery? Not the stock one?...not TWRP?.....no CWR? I have flashed all in Wug's and it just keeps going to the little android screen with NO Command under him. Yes I am doing the button combo correctly to get recovery to show. Wug's automatically tries to boot into it and it still sticks at the android guy screen? Hell I even flashed back to Lollipop just to see if it was Marshmellow that was the culprit but still no avail? Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix? I just wanna know I'll be safe if I bork something without reflashing to stock. Other than this problem everything else works fine.
there is a separate section of nexus 7 2013 on xda
try to google correct forum
