I wonder if there is some sort of nexus exclusive auxillary out cable... When i plug intomy car stereo, weird things happen.. Apps launch, horrible 'whop whop whop' sounds come through my speakers.. I have tried several cables, with the same results.. They are all sheilded cables. If i plug my tablet in or my gs2 in, the sound is fine. And it sounds fine when i use headphones.. Anybody have the same problem?

Volume doesn't change it. It even makes noise when no sound is playing. I thought it was ground feedback from a bad stereo install, but since the other devices don't do it, I guess that's not the case. The only thing I can think is that there is the little bit of exposed plug in the audio jack of the phone.. See the pic

Hi everyone.
For some odd reason... I couldn't get JDS Labs C5D ( portable amp/dac ) to work with my Nexus 6P... :T ( The owner sent me USB C to Mini USB OTG cable )
My phone does not recognize the usb/amp. I also tried playing my music through USB audio player pro app as suggested here but it didn't work. In dev opt, I set usb config to MTP... am I doing something wrong?

Kernel: ElementalX
Help please. T_T
Edit: This is the USB C to Mini USB OTG cable that was provided.
I don't know if you got it working by now. But have you tried swiping down from the status bar, then selecting USB for file transfer?
My schiit stack work on stock marshmallow on 6P using USB C to A otg.
XDA senior member "jekatt" has built an app called SoundSeeder which is something like a "multispeaker music player".
SoundSeeder can turn your Android device into a wireless speaker and use multiple of them to create a multi speaker audio system.
The full featured player app requires Android 4.1+, but there is also a dedicated speaker app for devices running Android 2.2+. (There is even a speaker app for windows / linux / raspberry pi)
The player supports audio playback from: phone storage, dlna/upnp network storages, google music and online radio stations.
The latest version even supports live streaming of recorded audio (microphone input or usb audio line in)

Nice product very handy and durable can play your music anytime and anywhere
Here is my setup: Android nougat stable, exkernel with cpu clocked to 2499 and gpu at 918. Got the Taskbar app, freeform window mode in enabled, a chromecast (Though I might get a mhl cabable). Got an otg cable along with a usb hub and mouse/keyboard in the mail rn. Tv is 32" 1080p. Let me just say second screen completely blows andromium or any other cast app I've tried out of the water. There is a slight lag but it's surprisingly really low. Check out the photo I took

You just saved me from wasting my money. I just assumed it would be supported because for it not to be is the most lazy ridiculous crap I've encountered from a Google product. Now I'm disappointed
@tdct12 I highly recommend you try underclocking it(cpu). The performance is actually better for me, even in benchmarks. Try it!
Has anyone used a SlimPort adapter to connect to a TV? I wonder if you get true 1080p @ 60Hz.
Also, is there a specific adapter model that you have to get to guarantee that it'll work? I'm thinking about getting this one:

As you can see in THIS article, SlimPort has 36 bpp color depth, resolution of 1080r / 60 frames per second and average rate of data transmission of 480 Mbit/second .
I have connected using a cheap eBay slimport adapter . The adapter worked with my LG G2 as well. I can't confirm the resolution you seek however.
I'm completely thrilled that this phone is packed with EVERYTHING. First I was a little sad when I saw that it doesn't support MHL.. Then I read about this slimport thingy here and understood that slimport is basically the same (you just need different adaptors)
Apart slimport in device specification mentioned is "3.5mm AV connector" .
AV means Audio-Video?
So is there RCA support too (like in Galaxy S or Nokia 808 pureview)?
