possible solution of kernel wakelock!!!! developers plz read!! - G3 General

I don't know what actually happen with my G3 D855. Been using it for 2month yet can't get ride of this sh*t. I'm so pissed whenever I check the kernel wakelock. this is the reason why our devices cannot get last longer than other flagships.
I'm sure it'll be related with the kernel.. I've tried kitkat both stock and aosp and even the the 5.o lollipop, flash the rin kernel, still this happens. also i've been googling for hundred pages.. i really can't find the solution. Plz developers here don't ignore my request. or am I the only one that has that kind of this weird wakelock?

i have 50+ ipc wakelocks in my phone

I believe this is not a true wakelock, because while mine's also showing >100% of usage for ipcXXXXXX_sensors.qcom and other stuff, I can actually get decent deep sleep. If these were true wakes, I doubt the phone would go to sleep at all.
Probably just an error in a way BBS is reporting the usage.

Because system reported it as wakelock to any app that asked.
Check your phone's sleep time vs these "sensors wakelocks". You will find out that you couldn't possibly get this much sleep if those wakelocks were real.

Severe battery drain

Why is my battery being drained so much in idle?

Or you could do a Google search. Why do we need to spoon feed you ? Millions before you have reported battery drain issues.

What makes you think I haven't already? As you correctly said, there are "millions before you" that have reported these issues, all with various different causes, some resolved, mostly not.
I was wondering if the expert eyes of this community could spot any obvious causes.

Thanks. Based on my understanding, It's not WiFi that's draining all the power. I've always have WiFi Scanning Always Available, and the power drain doesn't finish the entire battery overnight.
Also, even with SCANNING ALWAYS AVAILABLE enabled, the Awake Percentage is normally 25% - 30% not 75%.
It's something else.
And before anyone asks, I've also tried disabling Location Services.
I'd try the WiFi for a day or 2 just to see if it helps. I recalled having the same battery drain issue when I first got the device. After turning it off it has helped a lot. Now it could simply be a bad app that you may have downloaded. Hope you figure it out

Terrible battery life

I have a huge problem with battery life on my G2. Everything started after playing with Kitkat custom roms and kernels.. With every single combinations (rom + kernel) I always have battery life problem. Yesterday I decided to go back to JB and see how it will works, but.. I have same issue on it.. I am using my phone for 19 hours and 2.19h on screen and 27% of battery left. What can I do to deal with this problem?
Also curious...
Few screenshoots from wakelock detector.

Here's an idea: Uninstall all that crap and test again.
Also, post English screenshot if you want help. This isn't a ->Insert your weird language here<- forum.
I'd clean reinstall a new ROM (I'm on cloudy G3 with native kernel) and just use Clean Master to help boost battery life. Mine is very good so far. Around 5 hrs of SOT and almost 3 days of standby.
To the OP,
Are you restarting your phone in either silent or vibrate? That's what caused my 1013 wakelock in the past. I always reboot without vibrate/silent on now, and have not seen this issue.
Secondly, game playing will use a lot more battery than normal. It heats up the phone and works the GPU/CPU. For example, my battery only lasts 3.5 hours with Ingress playing.
Third, looks like you have some Android OS wake locks. Do you have Google now/location settings on and reporting?

So does that indicate that Kik is keeping my phone awake most of the time ? Or what...[emoji53]
Thanks in advance[emoji4]
I'm pretty sure the alarms are events (such as a kik message) made by kik to wake your phone. If you receive a lot of kik messages, that would explain the excessive alarms.
The main part you want to be focusing on in BBS is the 'kernel wakelocks' and 'partial wakelocks' to determine if/what anything is preventing your device from deep sleep.

Clearly Kik is keeping your phone from sleeping a large number of times. That may not necessarily have a significant impact on your battery. You'd need to know the type and duration of wakelocks.. or at least a metric on how much battery that app uses. You could try disabling the app and see how much longer your battery lasts for a better idea. If you do that, try to minimize the number of variables that change.
Your delta change, i.e. using 11% battery per hour isn't attrocious. But that is also highly variable depending on your configuration. Much of my light usage averages about 7% /hr. But if I am doing something processor intensive e.g. transcoding, it can approach 20%.
.

I'm not the only one having sensors wakelocks

this is so annoying.. i've been spending my times with these wakelocks but still no luck
i've restored my phone to stock and also used any custom roms available for G3.. I'm not installing any apps. just leave it as default.. only installed bbs and root to track the wakelock.. but the issue still exit.
I've drain the battery to 0 and charged to 100% this morning. I've done what I can do.. and google more than hundred pages.. still no one can give me the solution. plz give me some idea to fix these sensors wakelock

Hi,
I'm really interested in this also, because for some time, bunch of "sensors" wakelocks stays at 40%. I kinda expect this to be the "always listening" double tap to unlock feature, but I'm also interested if everyone else is also getting it.
Also, what percentage of deep sleep do you get when phone is idling (overnight)?
did you try disabling all the gestures from settings?

I disabled all sensors and also knock feature.. Yet still no luck
I have those wakelocks, too, but I really don't worry about it. This phone uses less battery with the screen off than any phone I've ever seen. Whatever the cause of those wakelocks, they're not having any significant impact on battery life.

[Q] [help] BBS + Greenify + Xposed and still bad battery life

You have really strange and incorrect battery stats.
It says that while your screen is on, your device is not awake. That's impossible. So the stats are incorrect.
My guess is that some app is constantly updating your location. You have to search for the app that is causing it. It can also be something like that find my phone from Samsung.
Why not update to 4.4.2 and do a complete wipe and start fresh?
i didnt notice that but im not sure, are the stats not meant to be like that?
ive had issues when going to fresh roms where battery drain is still present thats what's stopping me from moving..
with regards to samsung's "find my mobile", settings crashes when i go to "remote control" or any other options under that menu so im guessing i might have already disabled the service
are there any other suggestions?
If starting fresh on a new rom keeps having the same problems, then either you have a faulty battery or it's something you do that is causing it.
And no the stats are not meant like that. If you screen is on, then your device is awake. It's impossible for you screen to be on and you device not te be awake.
