Still no OTA? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I recently bought the nexus 10.
Had all the updates installed and have been waiting for the lollipop ota.
Has anyone actually received the ota notification on their device.
Don't understand why I still haven't received it.

It's a staged rollout. If you wait, it will come to your device when the time comes. Of course, you could grab either the ota zip or factory images posted here

[Q] Still no 4.4 OTA

The 4.4 OTA update was released a few days ago. I still have not received the update on my 2013 Nexus 7. :crying: Google has always been known for updating their devices very quickly. That was one of the reasons I bought this tablet. Quick updates to the latest version of android. But I'm still on 4.3. Why am i not getting this update?
Don't worry your not the only one Actually most people have not gotten it yet either. I don't know one person that has and it was released about a week ago. Personally I don't think Google even released it. I think they just said that to shut people up. I'm sure its coming soon though...
factory image was released, why would you wait for the OTA?

Because factory image deletes everything. And why should anyone that is not an expert flash something that he doesn't have to?

Oh... I see... The data that would be lost is the issue...
I forgot about that since this is xda...
Flashing has become a hobby... =)

I'm too lazy to backup & unroot & back to stock to get 1.7mb of OTA... Should I just ignore this one?
It seems to be trivial enough.. 1.7mb?

I am, At least until I see reports of the N7 shooting flames out of its tail pipes and burning rubber from the new update.
4.4.2 alraedy?
I just got 4.4.2 update download as well, didn't even receive the 4.4.1 notice yet. Won't install for now, will wait for Franco kernel to be updated as well as bionic/dalvik patches.

Haven't even gotten 4.4.1 yet, still on 4.4. What's the speed of this rolling out. I know it's based on serial numbers, but folks already getting 4.4.2 while some of us haven't even gotten 4.4.1.
Has anyone tried OTA Survival Mode yet with recent (1.55 and above if I am correct) SuperSu Pro? I read about succesful updates from 4.3 to 4.4 and 4.4 to 4.4.1 with our device while keeping root, but also about soft-bricked devices. Would make life easier if it works because I have stock recovery and wouldn't need to temporaryly adb load TWRP via Usb every time after OTA to reroot.

I never saw 4.4.1 but 4.4.2 is installing right now. First I was aware that there was a 4.4.2.
I got it OTA. No difference at all. Except the keyboard noise now sounds like a kids toy.
Edit: After using it a bit I think video performance is a lot better, seems more stable. And YouTube now works properly for me.
just got mine it was 58mb
(i didn't receive the 4.4.1 ota update)

Update to 4.4.3 or not?

Hey, I'm using CyanogenMod 11, and I just got a notification saying that OTA 4.4.3 is ready to be downloaded, so, if I update to to this OTA, will I loose all of my data and apps?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It won't update anyway. You can't apply a Google ota over cm
#stayparanoid
upgrade fault
I had never rooted or installes any rom and I was in version 4.4.2 when 3 days ago I received the notification that 4.4.3 is ready. I decided to proceed, I downloaded it and while installing an error occured... After restarting the device I am getting reboots for ever..... What can I do?

Where does the beta 7.0 beta wind up on your phone before upgrade?

Where does the OTA zip end up after you join the beta program the OTA lands on your device? I'm going to take the plunge now that it seems it will be yet another month. I need to know where to point TWRP for the zip. Thanks...
I believe it is downloaded to /cache

Did you receive any software update?

I just got a software update earlier this morning, it's about 5MB size. I wasn't able to see the log because it updates automatically.
It's softwareupdate.apk

whats new app got updated.
I got the update 7 or 8 days ago.
And now I've just had a second update for the same apk.
I wish Sony were as keen with updating Nougat.
