I'm having two problems that I'm pretty sure are related to each other after upgrading to 5.01.
1.) When I enter the camera app I get the message "Insert an SD card before using the camera". I am unable to take any pictures.
2.) When I go to Settings >> Storage, I'm only seeing 5.67 GB as my total space despite having the 16 GB model
Any advice on what I can do the fix these issues? I'm not sure what further information I could provide other than that I upgraded to 5.01 from CM 10.2
I had the same issue after flashing 5.0 factory images. The only thing that worked for me was to lock my bootloader and unlock it again.
Just remember to place your backup somewhere other than your phone.
Hope that helps
I had the optimus g3 rom(had 32 gb storage) on my phone but flashed back to stock since i had to send it in for repairs under warranty, i flashed stock rom and my phone showed as 16 gb with around 10 avalible in storage but if i went into hardware information this stayed the same even after i downloaded multiple stock roms just to make sure i hadn't downloaded the 16gb version (i even tried using lg mobile support tool).I got it back today and installed the offical 5.0.2 with the flash tool and in storage it show it is the 32 gb version but shows system data is using up 20.5gb.Any ideas on how to fix this and get my 32gb back?
Hi,
Lately, I got a Marshmallow update for my Moto X Play to which I upgraded and as I wasn't quite aware of the Encryption Policy for the same, I tried mixing my 64 GB Samsung MicroSD with my internal storage. It worked fine until I started having problems using the new Marshmallow upgrade. I decided to downgrade, did not bothered about decrypting the card before downgrading.
As soon as I downgraded the device to Lollipop, I found that I was no longer able to use the MicroSD in the same way I used to do it earlier. It was write protected and I was not able to decrypt in any way.
Googling didn't quite helped, and it looks like very few people have had similar problem.
Anyone having same issue? And any solution to this?
I think if you reformat the card you can start using it again, but you will lose all data.
Hi There,
It used to work fine until today when it refused to perform firmware upgrade of Galaxy S7E using the latest version of Smart Switch 4.1.17054_16.
The upgrade is from firmware QBT/QBT/QB1 to QEI/QE3/QD7.
As soon as the upgrade button is pressed a message comes up "At least 800 MB of free space is required to perform the upgrade........."
The phone is rooted and has 8.5GB of 24 GB internal memory free and 37 GB of 115 GB on the SD card.
I have tried to remove the SD card, clean the cache, run Device maintenance in Settings but cannot get pass this message.
Is there anything else that can be done to fix this error?
Same here with Tab S3 - 23 GB free from 24. Initialising the device brought no change.
This has got to be a bug in Smart Switch.

Remove your SD card and try again it should work.

The upgrade failed even with the SD card removed.
What worked was a full backup followed by emergency firmware recovery in Samsung Switch and TWRP root plus data restore.
Chainfire root stalled at Samsung logo on the latest firmware.
So perhaps this was behind the firmware upgrade failure, if Chainfire root had been removed the upgrade could have gone through fine followed by TWRP.
Is there a known issue with Chainfire root and the latest firmware?
Hello, guys
Wanting to expand the memory capacity of my Zenfone 3 max (model zc520tl) I've downgrade this to Android 6 because in Android 6 we can use the SD Card as a internal storage and in 7 we can't.
But, when I did this a huge problem happened: The phone can't recognize my SIM Card!
I've searched a lot and in ZenTalks I've found an Asus Moderator telling that what we need to do is update de firware to the latest version (and it's make sense, cause in Android 7 the SIM was working fine.)
So, now is the big problem that I can't solve by myself: I can't update my phone and I tryed so many ways ...
Look, I had downloaded the latest version in ASUS Support site, move this zip to my internal storage, clicked in "prepare to update" and when it reboot to recovery mode, an error saying a think like "This update is for xxx and this device is with MRA58k".
I had downloaded a lot of stock roms for android 7 and it always abort the update in recovery too.
What I want is just solve my problem with SIM Card. If there is a way to solve this on Android 6, please, tell me because it's better then upgrade to android 7 and can't expand my internal storage.
But, if the way is update to android 7, please help me to do this because I can't do this.
Thank's Allot,
Best Regards
