Auto correct functionality. Changes? Or just old software/setting? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Feel a bit silly asking as this seems noobish but can't figure it out.
On all previous phones, that had custom roms mind you, I got very used to using "backspace" when autocorrect would change a word I wanted to keep. It would immediately put it back to my original spelling and I would then continue on (sometimes I would save my new spelling first)
But now on this new Note 4 that feature is gone nor is it available in settings (as I had seen in the past). I tried a few other keyboards (good ol SwiftKey being one) but no luck.
So excuse my ignorance if the case but is this a Google thing, Samsung thing or just something that was *stock* on practically all roms I was using (some recent as 4.4.4)?
I would just love to have that simple option back! Got so used to it.

[Q] State of Fascinate and Android

Hey guys,
Sorry for this "noob"ish post. I am new to the Fascinate after being with T-Mo for 2 years, which included a G1 (running CyanMod) and a Nexus One (which also ran CyanMod). I am just hoping one of you would mind giving me a quick 2 minute catch up on where things are now with the Fascinate, as there is way too much on these forums to realistically sift through. I have some basic questions...
1)I have noticed root is good and all that. I would assume rooting is all you need to get free wireless tethering? What program do you use to wireless tether once you are rooted?
2)I keep seeing something about "lagfix". What is that? My phone doesn't seem laggy, except for all the bloatware Verizon has put on it. So any info is appreciated.
3)I'm not crazy about the stock 2.1 ROM. Are there any good custom 2.2 ROMs yet? What is generally the best ROM for the Fascinate? On the Nexus, argue as much as you want, CyanMod was far and away the best ROM. But it seems like there is no CyanMod for Fascinates. So what are my best choices?
4)Is there anything else I should know moving to this phone?
I really appreciate anyone taking the time to answer these, as I know these types of threads are not the most popular thing on here. I want to get "in the know" with my new phone, but there is already so much on these forums, it's hard to tell what is still new and relevant and what is not. Thanks guys!

Also a G1 and N1 owner. Be happy to help.
1) Wireless tethering is accomplished by myself without issue via Wireless tether app on the market. It's under the radar so to speak, but required an ad hoc connection
2) The correct lagfix is the voodoo lag fix, with the informative posts being found on the first page of this forum. Basically, Samsung used an older file system in their build, and voodoo updates it to ext4, which is alot snappier on the r/w side of things. Without it, you will encounter a slowing of your processes after a period of uptime, and usually a small freeze while the phone does things like install applications. The flip is that voodoo instructions should be read very closely, and adhered to. Failure to do so will result in phone borkage, and while always fixable, takes some time and patience to do so.
If you are unfamiliar with Odin, as I was at first, make damn sure you always use the PDA option. Failure to do so can result in terminal frustration, and possibly a close to true brick of the device.
3) There are no 2.2 ROMs yet. The Froyo OTA should hit between now and Christmas hopefully. I would like to think we will see some custom 2.2 ROMs, and maybe a CM port by the 1st. In the meanwhile there are several ROMs on this board which seem to work for the people who use them. I'm a proponent of stripping and customizing stock to suit your needs, making your ROM your own. I haven't seen enough included hacks in the available ROMs to warrant a need for them personally. We have some excellent kernels available, and some pretty slick themes and mods, which works well for me.
4) The phone has the best processor/gpu out currently. The display is fantastic, and I don't see a better device on the market currently. It does have downsides, most notably the GPS, which isn't a huge issue for me, but which also has a fix on the way, presumably to be included in the 2.2 update. I also have experienced a shortage in the Wifi reception comparative to my N1, having approx. half the range I previously enjoyed. This seems to me to be software related, so I assume it will be addressable.
If you plan to root and mod, especially if you plan to use voodoo, which I highly recommend, be careful in your reading of instructions and applications of procedures outlined in them. As great as this phone is, mistakes are costly in terms of confusion and time to correct.
Thanks for the reply. Im always impatient, and as such, have already rooted before even waiting for a first response I used the one click method though and it worked great, exactly as advertised. Root Explorer works, so I definitely am good there, and I snagged the latest build of wireless tether from the developer's page.
Now I need to get started with actually switching out the ROM. I really want all the VZ bloatware gone and Bing needs to go as well. So now I guess I have some reading to do on installing ROMs for this phone. Process seems a little more complex for this phone that it was for my N1, but that may be just because it was so long ago and I don't remember. Thanks for the response though!
I am in a similar boat I use the Droid 1 and my fascinate is at the post office waiting for me per usps tracking
I think for now I will root remove bloatware and Bing and role with that till 2.2 maybe touchwiz aswell as I hear u can save ram that way and I paid for launcher pro so might aswell use it.
Yea, from what I've read, it sounds like putting a new ROM on is kind of pointless, since it won't be 2.2 anyway. So I think I just need some good instructions for this voodoo/lagfix stuff and some good instructions for removing all the vzn bloatware that comes installed. Once I do those two things, I think I'll be good. I am already running ADW, which I love, so I don't need any customization there, and wireless tether seems great. So I guess I just need to continue searching. There are lots of topics on the voodoo/lagfix thing on here, but I just want to make sure I find the most complete comprehensive set so I dont screw anything up
I'm somewhat of a new member, but have silently read through these forums for months... I used Dirks d02 sv1200kernal and the voodoo lag fix, I have been very happy with my phone since. I have been reading about the roms right now and don't see a point just yet. Freeze the bloatware from verizon and you will love your phone. Also have switched to LPPlus and think my phone operates so smooth!
I just received my fascinate friday, best buy sucked me in, lol, and I have no regrets. This phone is amazing, better than my d1 and d2. I too had a lot of the same questions about the lagfix and what not and would just like to say thanks, this thread def helped me understand. Can't wait until 2.2 roms

I posted on replacing the stock launcher with ADW or LP, as well as a couple lists of what is safe to remove. It's easy enough. I'm mobile our I would link the threads, but the replacement of bing its also covered in a post that includes some zips that will help.

What is LPPlus? Is it worthwhile/simple to do?
To everyone else, I am glad I was not the only other one on the fence. XDA can be a bit scary sometimes, because you don't wanna ask something dumb/"noob"ish, but at the same time, if you haven't been there since the beginning, playing catch up can be hard. I will say everyone in the Fascinate threads has been nice and really helpful so far. I am slowly working through getting my phone the way I want it. Its just a shame that Verizon has to mess up the phone with all this garbage. I dont care much for the iPhone (design or software), but the one thing they do right, which comes at the cost of being "closed", is that they can dictate the user experience right out of the box. Unfortunately a lot of people are just too timid or incapable of doing the things we do to our phones to get them "right". Its a shame too, because people base their opinions on what Android the phone company gives you rather than what it can truly be. Regardless, I appreciate everyone's help and look forward to being a part of this community. I work IT at a school, so I know my way around a PC, but I wish I just knew more about Android coding and how phones work to be a true contributor to ROMs, etc. At least I know I helped a few people by speaking up and creating this thread. Thanks again everyone!!!
Edit: Im putting this in as an edit, but I just realized that LPPlus is probably Launcher Pro Plus. Have you used ADW? Is there a difference? What do you see as its advantages over ADW?
I personally (and i think most of us here would agree) don't have a problem with anyone asking "dumb" questions, if they haven't already been answered. the main issue is that most of the new posts are either "I didn't read the instructions and F*ed up my phone", "hey i heard this crazy rumor it must be true", "Can someone explain the same thing there are already 6 other topics about" and "how can we take X from this other phone and use it on mine". your questions are understandable and asking questions before you jump in saves a lot of headaches from having to fix something you tried without understanding it. and honestly, no need to be afraid to ask anything, worst case scenario someone like me *****es at you over the internet. who cares. =)

[Q] To downgrade or to not downgrade...

Ok, so I've asked around and was told that I have to downgrade first to 2.2 from 2.3.4 to temp root then perm root my T-Mobile G2. I'm asking around bec. I want the Virtuous Unity ROM with Sense 3.0 on my phone, like the ones on the new HTC Sensation 4G. Do I really have to downgrade first? If so, can you please post a link to how to do it? I'm consulting you guys bec. you are knowledgable. Thanks in advance!
Did u even bother to look in the dev section? You gotta try a little in life to get things done ya know.
Look in the dev section or the wiki and you shall find your answer

I'll second this guide--honestly it's NOT as bad as it sounds, and is soooo worth it
(If the concern is backup of apps...Titanium Backup should work. Keep in mind that pretty much ANY backup utility has some limited functionality with non-rooted phones, but at least the user apps will back up. I'd also back up Dolphin bookmarks (if you use Dolphin HD) as a precaution.)
Pretty much in my case, I backed up APKs and as much as Titanium Backup would allow on a non-rooted phone, followed essentially the instructions in the guide above (I did the Great Rooting JUST before that guide came out), picked a ROM, installed Titanium Backup, and restored the app-land user backups. The most annoying thing was getting stuff back on my panels/windows the way I liked.
(In my case, I don't go TOO far from stock--the furthest I've experimented with was MIUI Bulletproof (VERY solid but too iPhone-ish for my liking...if you want something different from the standard Android interface, go for it ). I've not seen the sense in Sense (relative has a Desire S, played about with it, wasn't all that impressed) and do tend to like ADW Launcher-using CyanogenMod variants (was with HTCClay for a bit then found it was functionally abandonware, now am with ILWT CW7 nightlies and couldn't be happier). What you want in a ROM is going to depend a LOT on what you tend to go for--performance or pretty or something else altogether )
One caveat that exists in all but the absolutely "stock save for rooted and deodexed" ROMs--none of them have Swype. Don't bother with reinstalling stock; I'd FAR more recommend going to http://beta.swype.com and just getting the beta versions. (They tend to have better performance and are several versions higher than the stock Swype. I note this, as an aside, because Swype is so far the ONLY non-physical keyboard I've ever found that the SO likes (and this is dating ALL the way back to the PalmPilot!) and I think if a rooted phone didn't include it they'd be Very Unhappy.) I usually use the physical keyboard, but Swype is a bit more tolerable than hunt-and-peck on the screen if I don't use the physical board.
I held off for months on rooting, and now seriously wonder why I waited so long

[Q] Should I be discouraged?

I've been a faithful Droid user for a long time now, currently using the Galaxy S4 running Nova Launcher w/ stock Android. I've recently had a Galaxy S2 i727. Owned it since it was released, LOVED that phone.. As a technical person, I decided to Root my Galaxy S2 (for the first time), and run PacMan ROM w/ whatever stock Kernel it came with (can't remember). Loved the ROM, but it was a tad bit glitchy. Long story short I tried to flash Franco Kernel, using TWRP. After it finished flashing, hit the reset button and the phone Bricked and never booted again I am sooo nervous to do anything now that it makes me sick, but the stock Android ROM is just absolutely terrible as most of you know. Has anything like this happened to anyone else before? No more upgrades and I just can't afford $640 for a new one. Any thoughts?
Read the stickies in all of the subforums and go through the forums reading as much as you can. Use to "search" function to find existing threads about the topics you want and need to know about and take your time and you will be fine.
90% of the problems people run into are because they didn't read and learn. Just about every issue you would run into has already been discovered and discussed (if not solved). Read the guides. Another 5% of the issues people come across are somewhat unique, and the last 5% are completely new (to this phone).
Don't be one of those people that make a post like, "hey guys, I'm new to this phone, what should I do?" Read the stickies, read, read, read, and use the search function and you will know what to do. Also, don't ask, What does XXXXXXX mean?" Search for the answer...it is there.
Don't be afraid, just be smart. If you take shortcuts, you will mess your phone up.
A great place to start is in the General section with all of the stickies. Because you are not new to Android, you should have a good head start. Do things the right way, and before long doing anything on the S4 will be very easy. Good luck.
I agree..do some reading..you will be ok. Its not a bad thing. Don't let the early stuff keep you from trying something..
Anyone correct me if I am wrong..but I haven't seen one hard bricked G4 yet. So, go for it.

Does putting the kernel or ROM for a completely different phone (S3 for instance) still guarantee a hard brick with the S4 or is it remedied with the flashing of the correct combo? The only other thing I can think of is checking PIT in ODIN without having a PIT file. The Skyrocket would blow up when that happened.
No, I have US Cellular, I had a normal galaxy s (1) and I got ballsy and rooted and put different ROMS on it. One time I f'd up and bricked, I was like
"Oh F*&^! I am going to have to go back to my old flip phone" but thanks to the nice people on the internet people will help you out (post here on XDA or rootzwiki on the guide you followed) they will give you step by step how to do it, or at least some guy helped me.
TL;DR
YES ROOT YOUR S4
Look up At&t or whatever carrier you have and add stock firmware ex. "At&t S4 stock firmware" and just download it and you can flash that via odin if something does go wrong
Good luck

I think the stock ROM on the S4 is far from terrible. Mine ran especially nice after I de-bloated. However I am running Omega ROM now, but more to test out the theming capabilities.

Galaxy S4 - A couple of questions!

Hey guys from XDA, I joined this forum a while back to download the S6 port firmware to S4, as I rooted my phone during that period and was excited to try out new things: I wanted to talk to the developer (Albe95) about some question, since I was (and still am) a bit afraid that any mistake would make my phone a useless brick.
Things went smoothly, he helped me and I thanked him for that, playing with my new ROM. Eventually I stopped browsing XDA but I came back to ask this, since a lot of people talk good about you guys.
After a couple of months I wanted to try out the famous CyanogenMod, which looked really cool and, since I knew what to do already, installed it with no problems whatsoever.
What to say? It's actually stable but I want to make my phone new again at the same time.
Now, my phone has a few problems which I'm aware of, but I don't know any fix to them, so here's a few questions that I'd appreciate if you could answer them.
N°1: when I first rooted my phone I remember I flashed a rooted stock rom (I vaguely remember that, so I might be wrong) whom Android version was 5.0.1 to root it. After done such, I noticed the rear camera (the one mostly used to take selfies, hehe) would crash whenever I switch to it in the Camera app. I just went on with it since I'm not really a selfie-obsessed kind of person but still I don't mind the occasional mirror . After a while, I installed the firmwares I listed above and I still get those problems. I'm afraid that it might be due some hardware-level problem, and I need to get it to any technichan/support center or try and fix it myself, perhaps buying the kit for the rear camera complete of screwdrivers and other parts. So, is there anything I can do, software-ly, to fix it? If not, what's the best option I have? Would it be hard to eventually fix/replace the camera?
N°2: ever since I bought this telephone (from mid-2013, the year it released), due to various falls/smashes etcetera its silver part (of which I'm not aware of its proper name) is damaged, some small parts are even gone and it just ruins the phone's look. I have no issue with that, but is it possible to replace it, and if it is, can you tell me its proper name (so I can buy it online and eventually try and replace it by myself)? If you still didn't get what part I'm talking about, I'll be glad to clarify. I'm not a native speaker, so I guess that you might find some trouble with my grammar or spelling.
N°3: whenever I start the phone, I always read the following text, coloured in red and yellow: "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING - Set Warranty Bit : kernel". I know I rooted my phone ergo I violated KNOX's counter, but is there anyway to just remove that party? It's a bit annoying also.
Well, thank you guys for reading and I hope you have a nice day!
1) Flashing an actual stock rom might fix your problem.
2) I think it's called bezil. Bezel and midframe also works. It can be replaced.
3) There is no way to remove it, except by using official firmware.
Thanks man, really appreciated! About the third answer though, just to clarify, you mean stock rom by official firmware right?

Yes, I mean the stock touchwiz rom that Samsung made.
Any modification to the bootloader (like flashing a recovery) will give you that message. It's basically like a warning.

samsung good lock UI on note 4 " i love it"

Good Lock UI
a few days ago i ran across an app called " samsung good lock ui" it was originally only available for note 5 , s6, s7, and the edge variants. but the article i was reading was from a user who side loaded it on his note 4 and was successfully using it on his Note 4. Since then it has been made available for the Note 4 on Samsungs Galaxy App Store, although I believe its still not officially supported for our devices,
Now I have been using it for at least a week so far. and it is a little buggy still, but they are updating very frequently to address the bugs. there are a few things that can cause it to lock a user out of the phone of which I will explain haw to deal with these issuess the best I can.
I've helped a few users with their issues already and really went through the app and its settings. I installed and uninstalled many times and did everything I could to recreate users problems so I could try to figure out ways to deal with those problems. along the way Imalmost positive that Ive found the few problems still there and the way around them.
I WILL STRESS THAT THIS APP HAS THE POTENTIAL TO REALLY CAUSE SOME PROBLEMS. In my opinion they should state that it is still in BETA form.... BUT , you install at your own Risk!!!
THE MUST AND MUST NOTS.
1. fingerprint and password lockscreen security options cause an inability to unlock the phone once restarted...
( to assure you dont have problems , REMEMBER!!! Before installing MAKE SURE that you are not using the fingerprint or Password lockscreen security options, Pin and Pattern seem to be ok, but I would just switch to swipe lockscreen before installing or uninstalling...)
2. When uninstalling the app you MUST ABSOLUTELY UNINSTALL FROM INSIDE THE APP... Good lock settings > Uninstall.....The App has caused serious problems for others if not uninstalled properly....(I have installed and uninstalled lots of times with no issues, which leads me to believe the issues are user created.)
3. If You want all the settings, color scheme, and changes to stick after a restart, Then make your desired changes to the default routine, instead of creating a New Routine..... I believe this Bug is a conmon one that will likely be fixed in the next couple updates.
(if you dont use default, then when you restart the color scheme reverts to default )
LOCKSCREEN LOCKED OUT FIX..........
Fix for if you forget to change to Swipe lockscreen before you install the app and get locked out our your phone...
if you try to use fingerprint.or password or forget to change it to swipe before installation. It will not have a way to unlock it normally, (there wont be a keyboard or the fingerprint text prompts: Just your wallpaper and access to the notifications).... if this happens you should still be able to pull down notifications on the lockscreen that does appear.
Pull down notifications, then pull down a second time to bring down quick settings. At the top Right you will see some icons, from left to right you should see Battery and Pecentage, the Search, then App Settings, then the regular settings icon. The App settings icon next to the regular settings icon is what you need to tap if you cant unlock the device. If you are locked out and you push this icon it will recognize the GoodLock UI is causing an error and will disable good lock UII and ask you to restart the device. When it reboots, you should be back to TouchWiz and able to unlock like normal,...
There is lots more to discuss and im sure lots of help needed so im glad to help if i can......
Please see the Overdrive thread. I'm still 15 hours in pain trying to remove this malware. Caveat emptor. I don't know how responsible it is to invite this disaster. If you are locked hard out like me, there is no way to get to the notify pull down and you are Tango Uniform. I cannot install any ROM now without horrific problems.
Please read.
1) If you are anyone who uses the well respected/tested Smart Unlock, even when deactivated and uninstalled then AVOID
2) Installation changes/corrupts SystemUI (check before and after) even when you are able to not be completely locked out and you are able to think you have uninstalled properly.
3) Installation/deinstallation changes firmware beyond anything a full and complete wipe can address. Full wipe three times, including system and data - it is still there.
4) if you don't mind losing all the user interface enhancements from custom ROMs to go back to a stock Samsung TouchWiz look, go for it. Don't understand why one would do that. Effectively Good Lock is TouchWiz plus with a lock-in change to SystemUIand other parts of firmware. Thank you Samsung.
Bottom line: many have suffered. Not just the ratings of a long time xda'er like me. Please search around. I'm glad hey likes it. It has wasted a dozen hours trying to dislodge it. Starting from scratch, scratch. Back to ODIN seems the only way to stamp out Bad Lock.

I am the one who started it in the ovrdrive thread as well, that's why i stated all the warnings...
with that said I've looked around. the only place I've seen any problems like what you describe
is in that thread..Nowhere else can i find much of anyone having problems.
i absolutely think that whatever problems you and very few others are having are user error. as long as you don't use fingerprint or password it works infallibly. i mean no disrespect and i apologize if what i say is disagreeable to you, but i have used this app and 4 other friend's that have the note 4 have used the app for at least a week or so with absolutely no problems.....i will reiterate....ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS.... uninstalling reinstalling, flashing and reflashing over and over again...in fact i can even do what i warn others of and use fingerprint or password. i can let it get locked up and undo it every time... no matter what i do i cant recreate the problems you say you have .and i have tried on 5 different note 4s. i am not saying you are not having the problems, i just think either there is something different or wrong with a few devices or the problems are induced by the user somehow, or there's a mod or an app on those few devices conflicting with good lock....
AGAIN I DO WARN ANYONE USING THIS ....THEY DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK...
but I'm positive that most users will have a pleasant experience and i think a few people having problems with the app is far from proving problems with the app.
SAMSUNG GOOD LOCK is a complex app that modifies the system ui and as such i think its not as user friendly as a normal plug and play app.
that being said i am not promoting the app ...i just like it and think others will too...
if anyone does want to try it. and wants to b sure of no problems let me know , I can help you set it up properly
and anyone trying to uninstall it or having problems with it let me know and I'm sure i can salvage your setup with out 15 hrs of struggle( that's just beyond me) , but I'm sure i can get you into a device that's been locked up by good lock
and please if you know of someplace where i can find the issues you speak of or others experiencing problems of any kind outside of the overdrive thread here, point me in that direction ., PLEASE. i have searched everywhere looking for users with bad experiences and cannot find any. I've exhausted all the keywords i can think of to search for issues with the app.

INFALLIBILITY? I used a pin and removed it before installing good lock, and it rebooted and denied access. So much for your infallibility. It is a FALSE claim.
I really don't understand why you denegrate users. YMMV would be a good contention. Saying there are no issues uninstalled correctly but saying its a BETA so all bets are off is talking out of both sides. Giving a surgeon general like warning then saying it really has no problems is the other two sides.
For everyone who loves locked down TouchWiz next gen, great. It's a big world with different preferences. I celebrate that. I'm sure many people that want to avoid custom ROM user interface benefits may be jazzed by a new Samsung software product. Fine. Like you, many may love it. Hooray. Some may have no uninstall issues. Cool man, more power to you. Saying there are negligible users with negligible issues (see google) is only rude.
WHEN INFALLIBILITY FAILS, CALL IT BETA.

@Rudolpht since you've completely ignored post #4 I'll be blunt and conclude that problem isn't with software, ones and zeros but with you. You've been offered a helpful hand by a user and just spat back I his face. Both threads. KEEP CALM AND KEEP GOING. You remind me of a lady (bystander) that couldn't stfup when I crashed. I told her I'm fine but for the next 30min she couldn't stop, as if she was hurt.

Thank you. Same logic. The software is great, the user is the problem. Yay new Samsung.
There has been NO help. No fix. No way out of a hard loop other than start from scratch. Just pretend there isn't a systemui change. Pretend firmware hasn't changed. Pretend there isn't a persistent change to the device that even a wipe won't fix. If you cant pretend it's beta.
But you are very helpful. Thank you.

But it's a start. Come on man, you don't seem like a first time user. Starting from scratch is what you sometimes have to do. Yeah it sucks but it still gets you going.
You should know the risks, they are posted all over xda.
Just talk to neo and let him help you. He offered help if you read it. Have a drink/smoke/girl/jerk/etc relax and go at it again till you resolve your issue, with neo guide you as fellow man/user.
im not normally a big fan of touchwiz at all, but as of late the features chat its always had up on other overlays have actially been usable with a custom TW rom that is as smooth as it should have been from the OEM.
the aesthetics is what its always lacked in my opinion, this good lock, will "Eventually" be a good looking option to change it to or at least in my opinion. i stated it had problems right from the beginning....
Everyone should read on their own and decide wether or not an app has developed to a point of their satisfaction so they are willing to risk installing it.
i just saw it and thought some others might be interested and stated my experience with the app that's all i can do. i don't want anyone making the mistake in thinking I'm promoting or even trying to spread the word at all about this app. i just dig it and wanted to share that .
beyond that i noticed some problems and have been able to fix most of em or get around them anyway. maybe i cam help someone else with these problems, because i know even without me the app would have been installed by note 4 users and my experiences might help some one. if not , i tried..
its still running perfectly on my device. for a beta that's not supported on our phones anyway.
its worlds better than stock that's all that matters to me. i cant stand the TW blue and yelwew notifications colors, and i really don't like that its so hard to change colors or backgrounds, icons, text, and every thing else, without hacking in the theme store or really going into theming yourself. something like this implemented right could be a good solution. and i guess a built in app to modify the theme and system ui would be a good next step from the theme store
In description it says beta.
Quickly tried it to see what all the fuss is about and if it would turn my world upside down. It didn't. Uninstalled from within.
I like them shortcuts on the bottom. I think jelly bean JB was the one that had . I liked it, used it and missed it. Instead of 4-5(forget) we now have downgrade of two, phone and camera:angel:
The rest isn't my cup of tea. It's not bad by any means. I've seen and used similar quick settings / notification pull-down in either aosp or cm like two years ago, or so.
With time I've seen dislikes/comments of TW and I've tried cm, aosp, and also top launchers, go/nova/apex/etc. I liked sense in HTC and do like TW in Samsung. Personal preference.
I think it's a great option and some would enjoy it. Hope it develops and becomes stable. Not that I've encountered any problems in 5 minutes of testing install/uninstall.

Grumble. Good point. Ok. Just don't like the jerk reference (even if I can be one [emoji15] ), and don't like being called a dope for not being able to clean uninstall when clearly Samsung messes up the device.
Hatchet buried. To each his own. I take/took responsibility for installing and shooting myself in the foot.

I didn't call you a jerk
Read the whole combination of/ / those words, stress relievers.
Not to be explicit, I meant do what ever that calms you down and relieves your stress, so you can resume/continue at fixing your device with a clear head.

Knew that, just emoticon unschooled and how to address in polite company. (My jerk point was self depreciation on the noun vs verb.

I have to watch myself to "abide by rules" of different forums. But even in life, profanity, calling someone female dog or genitalia, and alike is last resort for me. If at all.
Since I can get under someone's skin without it. But generally we all are humans. And I lean towards to respect, foolish the person is or not.
since I'm not perfect myself as all
Watch any available stand-up of Bill Burr on YouTube. Brutal to some, reality for others.
Anyway. Hope you got your device going.
Btw trying to offend or degrade someone, first of all, shows to others what's in your head/mind. Thus actually makes you vulnerable.
All cool.
I have installed good lock once on my Note 4, SM-910G India.
After i installed the fone gets restart and when inprove unlock password(since its showing fingerprint stopped working) it freezes for 1 minute and restarted back to normal and uninstalled automatically.
I think it was due to compatibility issues with note 4. But the look was awesome like stock with good colours.
Any chances Samsung might release officially for Note 4? ?

I will never try it, even if I was given Note 4s to trash, but it appears like there is a new fav 24.0.9 out for S5 plus ROMs.
