Pink glow in photos? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone !
But is it just me or the camera of my S5 tends to have a soft glow pink ?
I'll post three photos :
The first photo are made to the ceiling with all default settings:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Second photo, made to a object, all default settings:
Third photo, made to the same object, but with HDR:
The wall and the cieiling are white of course.
I'm not saying they are bad picture to be taken with a cell phone mind you, then I know that the indoors with artificial light are not exactly suited to take good photos with the digital in general, then the most important thing : I DO NOT KNOW NOTHING OF PHOTOGRAPHY .
In your opinion are fine as a photo? I do not care to know if they are good pictures or not , I'm interested to know if by any chance the camera has a problem , or is fine and I do not know photographing ...
P. S. Pictures taken to 'open day are fine with no problems.

You sure your finger is not too close to the lens? Could it be bouncing the light off of your finger?

Yes I'm sure, just checked

Purple spot is chromatic abbrevation (look here for issue & fix)

EDIT TITLE: Not only chromatic abbrevation!
Hi. I did some 'shooting' today with my HD2 and saw the purple tint in ex green colors vs blue sky. You can also see the purple tint on grey surfaces too, aso..
_Some_ of the purple colors is simply not going to be fixed, because its something called chromatic abbreviation and thats an optic issue. But im also thinking its an software issue that HTC have not seen yet. Manual whitebalancing is often or always better than the auto-setting in HD2. And one other thing.. If your picture is underexposed, you have even more pink tinting.
As mentioned. If you try set the whitebalance yourself, you may get by the pink issue in almost every picture. 2 out of 10 pics is now 'normal' and i have minor/none editing in photoshop. Maybe every picture is good when picture are prop whitebalanced and not underexposed.
Excuse my english, im norwegian..
I also think some of the tweaks here are responsible for the pink tint. Earlier photos from before tweaking have no pink tint. Someone running a ''clean'' rom here to confirm? Ive only applied some tweaks from '[REF] *Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks* - Updated 14th May 2010.' and 'Boost performance tips (All ROMS) -NEW updates 11/2/10'.
Maybe turning camera tweaks back to default is going to fix this..?.. I have no time for hard-reset, so if anyone schedule a hard-reset and having the tint problem.. Please take before/after photos.
for what it's worth, I had the pink stain practically on every past rom that I used.
The current rom I use, based on 2.13 (and I just reinstall everything system related through sashimi, so it's actually the same config with different rom) doesn't show this problem, being the camera settings the same... and I'm not at all displeased
im getting awful purple/pink coulouring on my photo's too, stock virgin mobile rom ( piggyback off t-mobile) with few mods installed
it was broad daylight and its made the pic look awful is there a fix or not?
edit: pics look perfect on the phone but once uploaded to facebook they gain the tint :/
so theres no fixes for this?
here are some examples to try and get some feedback from someone.......anyone?
first 3 are the widescreen option and the last 4 are non-widescreen

Question about Camera app

Hi, I was having a play with one earlier - and it appeared that when you take a picture there is no way within the app to see the picture you just took? You have to exit out and go into gallery?
Is there a way around this? Ta
There is an list of latest taken photos on right side... You can even expand it & then it shows all files in image-folder...
Take a look:

Thanks, I thought it strange there was no way to do this. Buy the model I was playing with (three uk branded) definatly didn't have it - must be different rom versions?
Thanks anyway
Remember that you can flash a normal non-messed up rom from the dev section,
like my orange uk version, is now a on the global rom minus the orange bloatware

If you swipe the thumbnails to the right, they will disappear... if you swipe from the very right edge of the screen toward the centre.. they will come back!... same with the menus on the other side (but in reverse!)
Is it possible to remove compression from our phone? Try to take a picture and the size only around 700kb when i use 8mp setting.
you can use vignette off the market - but in the tests I've done it doesn't really improve the image quality very much at all.. and actually in some shots I preferred the stock camera's results.
yeah, i like the result of the stock camera apps. But when i transfer the file to my PC and zoom it, the quality still not too good because of the compression. that is why i'm trying to remove the compression.
Wait for my MOD once we get root
I will add photo preview too
Is there any way to have multi shots option???
To press camera button and take 3-5 pictures in a row...
I miss that capability....

[Q] Edit pictures without losing image quality on LG G2?

If you shoot a good photo in a special moment, there is maybe a very small part on top of the picture which you would like to crop out, to make the photo perfect! But: If you do that, you will have the following issues:
It reduces the size of your photo - means you loose quality
It will remove the location from your photo - you can't remember where the exact point of shooting was
the photo will not stay in the right sequence in your gallery
maybe you loose exif information
I tried to edit my photos with:
Built in crop
QuickPick
Photo Studio
Photos
No one of them did a good job. Any suggestions from you what the perfect App would be?
Cheers

Snapseed is my favorite by far of the bunch. Very easy to work with with its swiping setup. The photos will be placed in the correct order you only have to move them to the original camera directory with a file explorer after editing them.
@defcomg. With that app you can't crop!

Default Camera sucks: Here is a solution

In particular the "Superior Auto" mode of our Z3s sucks. With "Manual" it is fixable to some extend, but I feel it's a lot of work and usually you just want to point and shoot (like you can with e.g. an iPhone btw. - my previous iPhone 5s made excellent pics in no time).
So here comes a solution and it might sound surprising: Use VSCO Cam! I did not expect this at all but in my opinion it takes waaay better pics than "Superior Auto". You still can't zoom in and expect a lot of detail, but I like how they come out nevertheless. Here are some samples :

One downside of using VSCO as a default camera is that it does not save to gallery by default and there seems to be no option (yet) to change that in settings. So you have to click on the images and "export" them to gallery. On iOS you actually can change it so it saves to gallery by default - I hope they will offer that on Android soon too.

Nice app, thx
VSCO definitely takes better pictures in my opinion. Here's a comparison below, the top picture is the stock camera on manual mode and the one below it is VSCO with default settings.

Camera starts to blurr on increasing distance after 30cm from object

Untill i was using MIUI everything was fine but after I flashed lineage OS 14.1 camera quality is decreased but still it was fine. Then i tried different gcam mods and flashed a couple of zip files in hope that camera will became better but it's quality is totally low now. Even i reverted back to MIUI to see if that fix the issue but still its persisting. I have tried Miui Stock Camera, Bacon Camera, Open Camera all having the same issue.
About Issue : On taking a picture from distance it becomes blurry the more I increase distance more it will become blurry. Picture starts to blurr after moving the camera away more than 30cm (i know it's hard to believe)
Check the screen shots and plzzz help me...

I think, thats your camera problem Not the rom / apps problem.
Yes your camera isnt using focus just flash some zip files for focus and it will work again thats the cameras focus problem
It happened with me, i had to disassemble my mobile and adjust camera module a bit to get the focus right.
Follow this guide on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcLhQtdzY4A, its not for our device but you can have a loot at it for a reference.
