I'm coming from an older Motorola Droid phone (Bionic) and I was wondering if this phone is worth the money compared to any other phone on the market? I have an unlimited data package so whatever phone I get i'm going to have to buy full price and i'm just trying to figure out if I should look elsewhere for a new phone?
If you're paying full price I'd do a Droid MAXX (XT1080M) from swappa for $240 or so. You get most of the turbo experience (battery life, active notifications, etc) for less than half the price.
Sent from my XT1080M
I'm quite happy with mine. Granted, I haven't had reason to test the camera a whole lot and hear mixed reviews about it. Otherwise everything else is outstanding.
Heavy usage since sunday.
I love this phone. I would recommend getting it. Ive had my Turbo since Sunday and have only charged it once. The screen is amazing. A majority of anyones complaints are things that will be fixed via updates. The only reason i almost didnt get my Turbo is because i hate waiting for exploits to come out. Fortunately i dont think i even need to root this phone to satisfy my needs. Its been running 4.4.4 flawlessly for me and ive been nonstop video recording, web browsing, and navigation w/ bluetooth music in my car.
I managed to get 30 hours on one charge with 5 hours screen on time. Thats insane coming from an S4.
This phone also comes with a free replacement if the screen breaks.
Coming from the M7 I can say that I'm not sure its worth the $650+ for this device. I'm in the same boat with unlimited data and decided to purchase the phone outright.
The big 3 for me are battery life, screen, and pure speed of the turbo. The battery life is amazing. Its weird going to bed sitting with 50%+ battery after being unplugged for 17 hours. But my HTC m7 was around 15ish so I'm not sure of the benefit if the longer battery life as battery life hasn't been an issue. The screen is clearer sure and the speed is quicker but I'm not sure its $650 quicker.
I came from a Galaxy S3 so, for me, the difference is insane
I think it depends on what you value in a phone. I'm coming from a Galaxy Nexus which ran stock 4.4.4. I'm definitely missing some of the features like Google's Caller ID and dialer search. The camera on the Turbo has not really impressed me with it's laggy shutter. I don't know how I will feel about not having an unlocked bootloader until this phone is left behind on updates. On the other hand, the phone is ridiculously fast has an amazing screen and great battery life. I bought it outright to keep my unlimited data and I'm happy so far.
I do miss caller ID, not going to lie
I dont think caller ID went anywhere

I still have caller ID on my Droid Turbo, transferred over from my S4. Its a completely redesigned app from verizon.
Maybe I'm missing turning on an option or something. I was running KitKat on my S3 and if a person called, it always showed me their name and the icon for them was the state they were calling from
Definitely
Me and my whole family had the Droid Bionic and switched to the Turbo. We decided to renew our plan to get the cheaper price, losing the unlimited and going to 30GB (6 devices). I love the phone and so far it hasn't lagged. For the AnTuTu Benchmark I got 44942, which is the better than the average for any other phone.

Taken from the Verizon Press release
"DROID Turbo customers who experience a damaged screen during their 2 year contract can replace it once for free. Customers who purchase through Verizon Edge are also eligible."
I read that like it means only people on the upgrade cycle when buying the phone. My verizon rep didn't know for sure, which usually is a bad sign. If your rep tells you that you can buy at full price and get screen replacement, try to get it in writing or actually show you the text.
Also the phone trade in $100 credit is not valid on full retail, FYI.
Thanks everybody for the information. I bought a Droid Turbo 64GB today. So far i'm loving this phone. All I need now is a root method and i'll be completely satisfied.
I went into Verizon for two minutes tonight just to see the size of the phone and the ballistic backing. I liked it. Slightly larger than my Droid Maxx. Didn't check anything else out when they said they no longer offer the device payment plan.
I will hold out for a price drop, Developer Edition, or a Nexus 6.
Coming from a bionic, you will be STUNNED by the difference.
Phone is awesome, no complaints (well, except missing simultaneous voice ans data, but the updste in a few weeks will resolve that).
Though, if you're completely budget concious i have to agree with the dude that suggested the maxx on swapp, but to that i would add ebay and MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 32GB ONE NOT THE DOWNGRADED 16GB MODEL. And when i say downgraded, im not only talking about the memory, they downgraded the build quality too.

What do you mean they don't have a payment plan. Not even on the edge program?
is it worth getting it?

Edge yes re: payment plan.
Those of us with unlimited data used to be able to do device payment plan. 12 months of payments plus 2$/month finance charge. Stopped it July of 2014.

Until they come out with a Dev Edition they send you directly to Verizon's website for consumer edition Turbos.

Is the ATT Pure gone? I am looking to add a line to my plan, and cannot find them anywhere. ATT has them on the website, but only refurbs and only for new customers (free). Amazon has them online for new accounts and upgrades, but they don't do add a line transactions.
Am I missing something? Is there a replacement for this phone coming out? My wife likes the Tilt 2 that I just got, but thought the physical keyboard was not needed... that led me naturally to the Pure.
im existing and it shows up for me .
I spoke with AT&T this morning. The refurbs are only available to new customers due to limited supply. They also said that I could order it as a new customer and transfer it over to my existing family plan without any problem or cost.
The said that the phone is still listed as a available phone, but they have no stock and do not know if/when they will be getting them in. O'well. I guess it will be a refurb for me.
Read this thread from FEBRUARY: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=637163
I did order the phone. I was planning on doing the $100 HTC trade up rebate, but it is not good on refurb phone purchases. But since there was no actual cost to the phone no big deal. I get to keep the tilt as a spare. On my TP2 purchase last week, I am sending in a Treo that was collecting dust and getting my $100 rebate.
I don't care if the phone is old (which it is not really) or not selling well. It does what I want it to do. It has no real replacement, and definitely the right cost. I upgraded 2 smart phones and the total cost will be -$50. Not a bad deal at all.
2 Tilt 2's would have been o.k. but the wife did not want/need the physical keyboard. Plus I could see a day when we would grab the wrong phones on the way to work and then be screwed.
LetsTalk.com has them along with Wirefly.com. Both available under the add a line program. Cost depends on your timing, they run them NIB for free MOST of the time, but have seen them listed for about $50 US.

I did not see them there. The only HTC that came up for AT&T was the tilt 2. I do believe they are gone, (or going away quickly). Not to be selfish but, I got mine.... or at least it is coming.... since it is coming Us Postal Service, I have a great hope for it to show up on saturday.
I can see the problem. my wife on Wed said that she would prefer the one without the keyboard. Then after she found out that it might not be available, she was o.k. with going tilt 2 as an option instead. I can see that conversation occurring throughout the country. In this case however the tilt 2 (new) was $199 vs the Pure (refurb) at $0. I am pretty sure I made the right choice.

As of thursday morning AMAZON was the only one who had them. They wanted 0.01 for a new line and $80 for an upgrade.
Amazon does not do the add a line, and phones purchased though them cannot be combined with an existing family account (like you can with att's own phones) without a $250 penalty within the first 6 months. ATT tracks by device ID, as long as the device is activated, they don't care how. Amazon get their comission based on account number. If you do the new account option, then try to combine the accounts, you will lose the new account number and be fined.
If you did upgrade by the end of May, you could do the HTC trade up rebate if you have an old device to send in and get $100 back. Then the phone would be -$20...even free shipping.
They did say that stock levels were low for the pure.

Ebay had some friday.. got busy and didn't get a chance to come here and post on it. Some of those dealers offer add a line. It's gonna suck if I ever have to do a phone swap though and no one has new ones. I love my Pure the way it is now. The stock ROM bites but the Energy is rockin'. A friend had a refurbed phone from ATT and whenever it got hot here his screen would fog up from internal moisture.

I have had some good luck with refurbs, but of course there are some horror stories. In this case I am sure that the cost saving will be worth it. The way I am upgrading and shuffling phones around, it will leave me with 1 line with an upgrade option on it. This will give me a chance to be able to replace any phone that breaks out of warranty in the coming months. Keeps the insurance cost down to zero.
First thing you do with any phone you get, new or refurb is check the white patch under the battery to make sure it is NOT pink in any way. That is the indication that the phone has been wet.
I love my Pure. Actually since me buying mine, my good friend and also my father have made the jump too. Its a pretty good touchscreen phone that is feels just the right size. I hope you all are successful in your attempts to get your hands on one. We knew they were going to get pulled months ago because of the low sales (wtf). I guess most people prefer the TP2 (meh).

I just got it and after a long 40 minutes on the phone with at&t the did all the juggling on my account and got it working. (even got them to waive the activation fee).
So far so good. I am charging it now, so that I can flash it to the (same) energy rom that I have on my tilt 2.
The battery in the Pure was draining the website so they stopped selling it :|
Kind of a long read, but here it goes. So last Thursday, for the simple fact that I'm mentally retarded at times I think, I crushed the screen of my Incredible. Since this was the third claim I'd had on my insurance in 3 years, it was dropped and I was well beyond warranty so basically I was left without a phone. I activated an old RAZR just to get me by which, unbeknownst to me, immediately dropped my data plan (grandfathered unlimited). Crap. I scrambled and called VZW customer service only to be told "too bad, so sad" for the most part, well I decided to say screw it and just use the RAZR until the Nexus drops instead of using my upgrade on a phone I didn't really want right now.
Fast forward to Tuesday, I get a call from a VZW CS representative who is doing a follow up (read trying to get me to put the $30 data plan back on before they lost the chance at it) who tells me that, so long as I put a smartphone back on before my next bill (the 30th) they can put the unlimited back on. So starts the decision making process, I really wanted this plan and honestly was going to just use my upgrade for an IP4S (only after hours of scouting CL for a cheap Android and coming up empty) and then sell that when the Nexus dropped and buy the Nexus outright.
Well I went to my local store today and talked over this plan with my rep as well as a few other ideas (such as buying a phone I didn't care about at BB and using their 30 day return window assuming the Nexus drops in the next 30), he tells me to hold on just a second and that he has an idea. Goes to the back, finds an old display Continuum that they are about to return, hands it to me and tells me so long as I give him the sale when the Nexus drops, I can just use the Continuum until then. I was honestly dumbfounded, in all my dealings with VZW (believe me, there's been a lot) they had always done what was right to me in the end, but not without hassle and certainly not by going out of their way for me, so this action really caught me off guard. Talk about earning a customer for life, short of something extraordinarily dramatic in the future, they have me forever. Just thought I'd share this positive story since most aren't that great in the end.
AS far as the Continuum goes, it's honestly surprised the heck out of me. It's still on Eclair because the whole 12 people that actually bought the phone wasn't enough to warrant an upgrade LOL, but it's smooth and extremely responsive honestly for having only 384 MB of RAM (I believe, I don't think it was given the 512 found in the other Galaxy S variants). Far more so than my Incredible was on anything but Gingersense stock and the camera is absolutely in another league despite the 3MP deficit. The ticker display is gimmicky for anything other than music play as far as I'm concerned and I would rather have the extra screen real estate, but other than that I'm extremely pleased with the phone.
That's awesome. I've always had a fantastic time with Verizon too. I love the Big Red. They are awesome. Also, anyone out there will to give up there upgrade so I can get a Galaxy Nexus?
thats awesome man. when/if i get a job for big red, thats how im gonna treat all my customers!
Sounds like you found a good one. We have had a great experience at our Verizon store, but frankly most of the employees suck. You usually tell the ones that won't be very helpful.
Last week I went in and the lady did not even know if they had any android phones with a keyboard. I asked if she knew about any of the new phones coming out and she only knew about the iphone 4s.
I believe they make commission so I don't know why they can be so indifferent.

You can buy a replacement screen on amazon for about $30. I've replaced mine twice.
I've been with Sprint for over 10 years, the last 2 of which I've had an HTC Evo 4G (rooted). I'm looking to switch over to Verizon in the next week or so and I'm leaning towards the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx (unless someone has a better suggestion for a top-of-the-line Android offering). I'm looking for some advice/suggestions on how to make the switch - I have Titanium Backups for all of my apps - is it possible to restore these on the Droid Razr Maxx if I root this too? Also, I'm very used to HTC Sense on the Evo 4G - how will this impact the switchover, and is it possible to flash a Sense ROM on this new Verizon phone? Sorry if any of these questions are dumb, I've been stuck in the Sprint world for so long, I don't know what's going on outside of it. Just looking for some tips from people who've made the switch.
Thanks for any help in advance!
I would suggest the Samsung Galaxy S3 as a better phone. You'll find a lot more rom's for it as well, in fact there's already a Sense port for the international version of the S3.
Do you use Google Voice? That will be a big change as there's no native integration like with Sprint. Your apps should restore just fine.
i would also suggest the gs3 or something that is closer to the evo lte (im still a little bit of an htc fanboy tho i do admit im waiting on a gs3 to come my way). if you do use voice integration verizon doesnt have (and i dont think they will at least not with out some market influence of lots of people using it, the only other carrier rumored to be getting it is att) but if not then no biggie for ya
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx screen is ugly...THe evo 4g original has better picture quality IMO...However, Verizon network smokes SPrint anyday..
Thanks, I've heard of both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Motorola Droid Razr HD as upcoming Verizon smartphones, potentially worth waiting for. However, release dates for both haven't been released yet, correct? I need a new phone/contract within the next two weeks, so I don't know if these will be an option for me.
want to use my htc evo in pakistan on a network
can any one tell me how can i use my cellphone on my country,s network ??thr r only 2 cdma network connection available in my country what will i need ???
dajoip I would recommend you go play with it in person...my bro in law has the moto razor max. The screen is just ugly when compared to the smooth colorful screen of the EVO...I would def wait or just get the samsung its screen is a lot nice looking.
I'd be willing to wait, if I had a better idea of when either of these phones were going to be released...are there any indications? I checked out the Maxx last night, and while I love the idea of it's ridiculous battery, I wasn't all that excited about the phone itself...
I just spoke with a Verizon rep, they told me it was confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be shipping on July 10th.
You see the droid incredible 4g? That is much better then the razor. Much better screen as the maxx has an ugly screen Imo. The battery is not as good as the maxx but it's really good. Sense 4.0 too.

What makes it much better than the Maxx? I don't see too many negatives with the Maxx, and if it truly has double the battery, I think that's a huge positive...coming from the Evo for the last two years (and that being HTC), I'm skeptical of a smartphone with that small of a battery now - the battery life on it was absolutely atrocious! I'm actually hoping to wait for the Droid Razr HD to be announced/released.

I've thought about going to Verizon but there phone selection is very sparse. They also recently jack-up their prices on smart-phone contracts.
It's not necessarily "jacked up" - I'll be on a family plan and it's actually the same price with their new prices but we'll have more minutes/data with the new structure.
Verizon is accepting pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S3, however they are not carrying it in store as of yet. Pricing I think is $199 for 16GB and $250 for 32GB. You can look up videos of the GS3 to see if you like it. If I had to choose, I would go with it as it is the latest phone they are offering. If anything, if you don't like it (it does look like its a huge phone), just return it within the return window. Or you could keep it until something else comes along, sell it and use the money towards purchasing whatever else comes out.
Or you could wait for the HTC Phablet that its supposed to come out for Verizon.
"Rumors" Don't know how solid that is.
My wife has the Razr Maxx and doesn't have any complaints other then not having ICS 4.0 yet, she charges the phone every 2 days no need for extended battery's.
Motorola + VZW + root = FAIL, the photon on sprint is a pain in the ass to unlock and sprint isn't as strict as VZW with locking bootloaders. Every device on VZW with the exception of the galaxy nexus is a pain to root. VZW didn't get a gs2 model because Samsung refused to lock up the bootloader and VZW doesn't want people rooting their devices. The only reason the nexus isn't locked up tight is because of its reputation as a developers device, and the fact Google made them sign an agreement to get the rights to have the nexus exclusively for a few months before it was released on other US carriers. Sure VZW has fast speeds, they also have capped data and prices that should be considered robbery, they might as well make you pay your bill at gunpoint. Sure, it looks comparable when you're shopping around, until you get your bill and the extra $50-80 in fees and taxes are added in. My mom is on VZW with a family plan, 4 lines, no smartphones, no data plan, unlimited minutes and text and her bill is over $300 a month. It was just around $200 when she was shopping around then after they added $85 in taxes, surcharges and fees it went up to just over $300 and their customer service is outright ****, they don't give a damn about the customers, just the customers money. They will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get you to sign up, even if it is an outright, bold faced lie.
We are legion, for we are many.

actually, you will be sharing less data across numerous devices while paying a monthly access charge per device. Look very closely at the contracts and pricing, it is not a good deal and a trend I hope is not followed by other carriers.

Um, well I'm glad you seem to know more about my situation than I do, but I actually have looked through it, I know how much data will be shared within the plan (which is more), and I already have a quoted price and it's comparable to what we'd pay within the old structure.
I didn't ask the question in this thread to be told what a bad idea Verizon is and that I'm going to be ripped off, since I know this is an Evo and Sprint forum...I was just hoping for some helpful information about potential compatibility between rooted phones across different networks.

Verizon Share Plan
I took advantage of the BOGO last year to get 4 S7 Edges on my family's plan. With the addition of one more line used to upgrade for an iPhone 7 Plus that my friend is renting out, we get a total of 10 bonus GB for life. Our plan is the New Verizon Plan with data capping out at max, so we have 22 GBs to use. I have an 8% employee discount so the monthly bill runs $195 including tax (technically 165 because of the rent out, hehe).
Now I want to know how well of an upgrade it is to jump to the S8+ because it's only $15 a month with the Unlimited plan if I trade in my S7 Edge. The price point between the S8 and S8+ would be the same with this upgrade, but obviously going for the bigger one is a much better benefit. The S7 Edge is only worth $230 if I traded it in with Verizon, and it's probably worth more at $400 if I sold it online elsewhere.
Is it worth the upgrade? Just curious... hehe.
I'm waiting now for my S8+. Wanted to upgrade for multiple reasons, including better processor, USB type C, and a better display. I'm on grandfathered UDP and had to pay full price for mine but I've had to for every phone since 2012...

Nope, never changed before two years until now, just like you. I had the blackberry storm, droid RAZR , LG revolution (broke the RAZR), then the Droid RAZR Maxx, S5, and now the S7 edge that was purchased last summer.

I'm waiting now for my S8+. Wanted to upgrade for multiple reasons, including better processor, USB type C, and a better display. I'm on grandfathered UDP and had to pay full price for mine but I've had to for every phone since 2012...

I was also on a grandfathered UDP but there's 4 other lines on my plan that weren't. I upgraded to the new unlimited plan and now everyone's got unlimited data and with the hybrid Tmobile/Verizon ROM I haven't had any issues or data throttling and I've used well over the 22GB mark where they say they may "prioritize others" above you.

Yeah, you only have to worry about high traffic times but in bigger cities they have better towers that can handle more so it's likely you'll never be throttled. I'm the only line on the account and haven't convinced myself yet to switch. Heard rumors that the grandfathered UDP plans sell for roughly $1k on eBay. Been thinking about doing that but haven't looked into it.

****!!!! I should have sold my plan and started a new one haha.
What a time to live in for you guys to be able to sell grandfathered phone plans. lol
Verizon isn't going to have a problem with that though?

I'm sure it's a big PITA but doable. Probably add their name to the account, give them ownership rights and remove yourself and start a new plan for yourself.
I received my Orchid Gray S8 on Tuesday the 18th. So far I'm loving it. My only gripe is the Bixby thing. There is no way to disable it. It takes up the entire left screen. Not crazy about the fingerprint sensor on the back but I'm getting use to it, and it's easier to find with a case on. The iris scanner works much better and faster than I expected. The S8 has a nicer, cleaner look without the physical home buttom and there are no logos in the front.

How is the battery life compared to the S7 Edge? My gripe so far has always been about the crazy battery drainage my phone suffers and I see it's mostly because of the phone radio or something in Android system running it down.

I really haven't been gauging the battery life yet. I have mostly been installing and configuring apps. But so far it seems OK. I've only had it for 2 full days and 3 full charges. I never got below 30% charge. But I'll report back later with my opinion of the battery life.

Or the S9. Or possibly whenever Sony decides to make their latest flagship Xperias compatible with Verizon because they have much better battery optimizations than Samsung. I'm not seeing any better than 3.5-4 hours of SOT since Nougat...

I can honestly say that my battery life has improved significantly. I know that seems like a stretch but it's probably due to the processor as well as a completely new battery. My S7 edge would have to be charged at night while I was at work around my lunch break. Now it lasts a while, at 86% after sitting in my truck all night and with moderate use.

Is it possible for you to share your battery stats of your usage at the end of the day? Like what apps have been running and screen on time usage. I'd like to know

Well I never let it get past 50%, kind of like my gas tank, I want to keep a charge in the event of some kind of emergency. But I can show you a screenshot as of now. I have all the same apps on my phone, transferred from my Google account. There are over 130 apps installed and it seems that it monitor's them and saves battery that way.
Second day so far with my S8, upgraded from a 7 Edge, didn't get the S8 plus because too big ass of a phone, I'm happy with the battery life of the standard S8, so far has been better than the S7 Edge I had.
IMO, 64gb internal and USB-C are the only compelling upgrades from the S7. I'm waiting to see what the Note 8 looks like. Though I came very close to getting an LG G6 today.
Nexus 6 made a list for a trade in program on T-Mobile for OnePlus 6T. No joke.
This makes things interesting now ....
What to do ....

I didn't even check the list because I thought there was no way the Nexus 6 would be on there. Now decisions have to be made, lol

No.
Just got oneplus 6T.
$580 T-Mobile version, I payed only taxes. $300 trade off split in 24 months as a credit for your account, I am paying $11.67/month for 24 months.
The guy didn't care about Lineage running, all he did he checked if the phone is working. He also checked how much is trade in value of my Nexus - it came out to be $0.00

And how do you like it plan to trade mine in on Friday
It's pretty good, super fast, I was holding them side by side, trying to transfer everything and right away you feel those phones are not in the same category. Screen is big but size wise they are similar, because of the bezels. One plus is not as wide. Another good thing, it came with the case, so ignore your sales person trying to sell your one.
Fingerprint is pretty quick, I've read some concerns that it's not as fast as actual fingerprint sensor - I didn't feel it (so far). I turned off Pie gestures, still not used to them.
I felt sad tho when they took my Nexus 6.
I heard bootloader is locked though on T-Mobile version? Main reason not going through with the trade right now.
It is. It also has some T-Mobile apps, some of them easily removable (voice mail, ID, Tuesday), but T-Mobile official app and Unlock app (to request to take the phone to other network) are not removable. You can't even disable them. I've been told as soon I pay it off it will be unlocked. Upon the setup wizard T-Mo asks to collect some data to make "our experience" better which you should not agree to.
Also it has a stupid T-Mobile jingle as a ringtone and start up animation.

Cool! I was considering trading in my shamu for this, but I think I'll just buy mine from OnePlus and pay the full price. The less bumps in the road for modding the better. Plus I'm not ready to give up my shamu, I love this device still!
Can anyone confirm a locked bootloader with t mobile. I'm in Ohio and t mobile is receiving their inventory op6t's today. I'm going to go check out the developer menu on the demo and see if there's an oem unlock or anything. But if anyone can confirm beforehand that would be great. T mobile phones have not given me any issues with rooting or ROMs either way. It's who I have had for 12 years. Also, this is not confirmed either but customer care said they think t mobile may do a bogo with post paid accounts as well. Launching on the first. So who knows. They have never been wrong telling me this kinda stuff before.. but bye bye Shamu.

So I've been checking the OnePlus 6t forum here on XDA. The thing about the T-Mobile version is this. If you trade in your Nexus 6, they WILL take off $300. BUT the bootloader is locked, and T-Mobile will set you up on a 2 year installment plan. They won't let you unlock your bootloader until the 2 years is up, even IF you pay it off in full. If you want to unlock your bootloader before 2 years (I'm sure most do) buy from OnePlus. I don't recommend the trade in for this reason.

Well, as with most higher end devices, we usually find a way to mod, root and do whatever, even with a locked bootloader.so I'm not scared.been with t mobile 13 years
I wouldn't trade my Nexus 6 in for anything...There is nothing out there (new phones) that comes close to what this phone offers. I can run the latest OS with ease. The screen on this bad boy is still better in my opinion then anything out there. I like the shape 16.9 vs the new 18.9. ( I think that is how they are classified ). So what if were short a little bit of ram. The development community is still strong with the nexus 6. My phone is quicker now then when I got it and I've had it since it came out. I could go on but I wont. My nexus 6 is staying right where it is. In my hands now. Anyone trading it is foolish.

This..
And to add,
I got the Nexus 6 purely for the screen size, I my self have big hands, and the battery sucked on stock 7.1.1 BUT with the awesome Dev's backing the Nexus 6, I'm running latest Pie OS, buttery smooth, with Franco kernel can easily get through a full day. . Suffice it to say, I'm also keeping the Nexus 6. Comparing the latest flagships vs the Nexus 6 specs are on par, and with the notchless design I say this is a win, win.
It does have a forehead and a chin, but there are countless times I've dropped my Shamus and it survived, (with a case), my buddy has a shock proof case as well on his Samsung s8 and has cracked his screen twice. Got it replaced and is cracked again. No thank you.
I jumped ship, (still missing my n6 lol, the reason I am here) first thing thanks to OP for starting this thread that helped me decide. 2nd I got my bootloader unlocked, I made sure to check the phone, put an active sim in, hit unlock in unlock app before they processed the ordered, that unlocked the phone immediately, and next I requested unlock.bin key from 1+, waiting on it to arrive next week. I love the phone, its better in every aspect but one, wide screen on n6 that this one lacks. other than that 6T is pretty stellar. I am totally impressed by quality. i am sure in less than a month xda will have many ROMs. My n6 battery was dying to the point of 2-2.5 hrs battery per charge and charging port itself was failing, rather than spending 30-40$ that way, I just upgraded for 300, GOT 36$ CREDIT FOR 64GB VERSION so I am happy. if this trade in offer comes again, I would recommend it to anyone.
can anyone pls explain how this work?
