I prefer the stock one.
How often do you reboot though..?Also, its like a 5 second animation..
And I personally HATED that loud obnoxious t-mobile jingle.
I give that a +1.

Me too, did you find the answer to this question? I am trying to find it and can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't want that android talking voice. I would much rather have the original tmobile jingle.
you need bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg that go in system/media and the shutdown folder that goes in system/media/video
you should be able to pull them out of a stock ROM in the dev section
You can dl any rom including stock 2.1 and pull the animation from it by extracting the .zip
It's in system/media
Replace into rom you want to use and flash away

Those are all stock ROMs.
All will have the stock bootanimaton in them.
TRUE!!!!!!11
Really....because the majority of those ROMs were modified to use the bootanimation.zip. If you read the first one for instance it clearly says "annoying pink animation & shutdown removed" because Team Whiskey removes the .qmg files & the shutdown and replaces it with a bootanimation.zip. The only ones you will get the .qmp files from are ones that are untouched "STOCK" (odex or deodexed) because they don't use a bootanimation.zip they use the .qmg
Maybe you should read a little closer huh

Grow up.
I simply did a search for STOCK ROM and pasted the results (but that is way to deep for you because you couldn't figure it out to do that for yourself....right ?).
I could EASILY (like 30 seconds) rip the original boot animation and post it to this thread.....but why should I ?
It's attitudes like yours that prohibit people from going out of thier way to provide things.
Like boot animations.
And now.
I stated fact to people that were asking questions...i don't have a bad attitude and I assure you I am well grown up. Your more than welcome to review any of my posts that reflect my attitude if you'd like. You posted this remark "Ahh indeed, shortsighted are you ?" and I responded back...simple as that.

Yes nero does...but the original boot ..the pink garbage..is a qmg unless someone makes into a bootanimation.zip

GSM Arena recently got a hands on video on the UI of the LG Prada phone here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g63Nr-9IFfc
And i have to say, it's one sexy but professional looking UI.
Any themers who are interested in recreating this?
Absolutely reminds me of Go Launcher. Should be easy to pull of with a Go Launcher Theme.
But the black/white icons are fugly as hell...
I was thinking of something that goes beyond the OS, like the system elements like the status bar or popup icons. Kinda like the Black Android theme by Nitroz (which he sadly abandoned)
Actually I love the sleek minimalist design the new Prada phone has and would love to see this thing ported for use in ICS, however I am not going to hold my breath waiting on it. But I may at some point try to mimic the style a bit using custom icons and changing the notification icon colors.

you can get the theme of Nitroz in the hyperdroid rom..they are keeping his theme up to date now
This theme will go great with any phone that has AMOLED. Anything similar?
Well, I have a LG Prada 3.0 from work (promoting it in the store i work), could there be anyway i could "rip" the theme for someone to make it compatible with SGSII or maybe even make it a Go Theme?
Edit: I've been looking for a fairly secure way to root AND unroot it, but haven't found much... When I get home home, i'll take a closer look at how it's set up on the phone.

I've been trying for an hour now and i can't get AC to work properly.. Rooting the device went fine with rageagainsthecage exploit in SuperOneClick, and it seems that I have full access.
I found a guide (http://www.ehow.com/how_12211911_system-dump-android.html), but i doesn't work.. I'm guessing it's because /dev/block/stl6 isn't the right path for this phone.
Is it usable if I just copy the /system folder to the sdcard through a root explorer?
Saw the review of it on engadget. Only thing I thought that looked good was the UI. Would love to have it for my phone.

How to port Sense.
Source: http://forums.androidcentral.com/optimus-v-rooting-roms-hacks/164989-guide-how-i-port.html (second post)
This is NOT my guide, just posting it here!
This is a very difficult process that I hope you'll understand.
First step is to find a device that is preferably VERY similar to your device, in this instance I guess we would use the htc thunderbolt, which I've been told multiple times that it is used for the MT.
You're going to want to use CM7 for parts. Simple enough.
I will be referring the Sense ROM to SENSE and CM7 as BASE to simple things up. So remember that.
When I say replace, I would recommend deleting from one and adding it with the other
Open up Sense and Base in different windows.
Put in the boot.img from Base into Sense (make sure you put the original boot.img in some other place that you'll remember)
go into /system/usr on both
replace keylayouts and keychars from Base into Sense (this is just your keys)
download dsixda's kitchen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246)
Get the ROM you have so far set up in it and what not (I'm a little fuzzy at this part)
Once you get done with that, run the menu in terminal and navigate your way to decompile the boot.img (action key- "a") and then run the same thing except run the action key "w" to decompile the original boot.img. So the key here is to decompile both boot.img's.
Go into the ramdisk on both and go into init.rc
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN THIS (THE MATTER OF BOOT AND BOOTLOOP) IS THE LINE
"export BOOTCLASSPATH" near the top. It will have a bunch of lines after it. Now in the Base's boot.img, delete this whole line. Replace it with the lines from Sense's boot.img.
Now you can add anything else you want that looks like it belongs (preferably anything sense related)
Don't recompile the boot.img yet.
Now we add a2sd. To do this, just follow this guide (https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=158823170833688)
The only thing you do in there is the edits to the init.rc, don't listen to the decompiling/recompiling mentions. Now you can go back into the menu for the kitchen and recompile the boot.img (action key - "b"). Now don't compile the WHOLE ROM, just take the new boot.img in working_** and put it into the Sense zip.
Now you're going to want to download my ROM (sorry, just don't feel like uploading each individual file) http://gannon5197.blogspot.nl/2012/03/got-sense-booted.html
And go into the /system/bin on both
these are the files you're going to need: a2sd, bash, apps2sd.hlp, busybox.a2sd, chka2sd, jita2sd, launcha2sd, starta2sd, and maybe possibly sh (try once without it)
And you're going to want to set permissions for each one of these in the updater-script (look at mine for references)
Now also look at my zip and you'll see move_cache_sd. Put that in yours and set permissions for it in updater-script (use mine for references)
After that, the other stuff is mainly just getting rid of all the bloatware, (look in /system/app and /system/media) I wouldn't delete any libs as of right now. If you try to flash it and it reboots recovery then it is too big.
If it is too big, you're probably going to want to move a lot of the apps to data. To do this, just make a file called data/app/put_your_apps_here on the root of the zip. You're going to have to set permissions for it in the updater-script, but use the test.zip I sent you in the original.
This will most likely get you booted. Nothing will likely work. Which is expected. If you have any problems, just use logcat. It will be your bestfriend. Have fun porting

in fact sensse porting is differnet from the tutorial showed it is a little bit more difficult and there are some libs needed that there is only for the devices you are porting to. so a general tread will not really work

hello frnds,
When many people were working on multiwindow and CM i decided to work upon my own to bring up s IV camera ..it's so strange that i've not seen a single thread to get this amazing feature !
i will upload my first compilation soon ..
remember it's just the initial build which includes some unnessasry libs and apps ..
but im sure that some experienced dev will be able to solve it ..
btw you don't have to change the app to hdpi as i've done it already
REMEMBER EVEN I DIDN'T TEST THIS BUILD ..IT'S JUST A COMPILATION OF REQUIRED FILES
instructions: (for testers)
1.Please make a nandroid backup..
2.delete seccamera.apk from system/app cause you are installing seccamera2.apk:fingers-crossed:
3.flash via CWM/TWRP and reboot..
instructions: (for devs)
1.before flashing this zip just go through all the contents especially the library files
2.delete what you think is unnecessary
3.do some changes in framework2.jar(i think it has to be edited i'm not sure)
4.then make a nandroid backup and flash..
first compilation:https://www.dropbox.com/s/qludngntsu7asa0/camera beta 1.zip
reseved
HDPI? Hmm. I don't have an Advance but Blaze is the same res. Let me look into it..

Edit: Looks big for a camera and some needed libs. For sure there are unneeded ones in there.

i really wanted to check what happens..
now here's what exactly happened according to me..
#the zip permissions are al-right so it should have flashed everything properly
#but the space reserved for the ROM in s advance is not enough!
#remember on s3,s4,note 2,grand etc. you don't get 3 divisions of phone memory
#in our phone the phone memory shows around 2 GB
#so the space must have been occupied by the smaller files mainly eraser, beauty face etc.
#time for test 2 buddy !
#goog luck with multiwindow..:good:
Yes you're right after flashing I saw that in the titanium backup.
It shows 631mb in the system rom.

Hi guys.
I Just got a verizon g2 a week ago and I am trying to change the boot animation to an android L animation which I just found but it doesn't show past what's in the "part2" folder. In other words, it doesn't reach the part where the four dots turn into the word "android". This also happened with an android L boot animation which I found earlier from xda (which I think is the same). This is the link http://www.hotmodinc.com/2014/07/Android-L-Boot-Animation.html. Any help is appreciated. I have a stock rooted rom.
just tried it... seems ok, it only holds a black screen a bit longer after animation finishes...
did you download 1080x1920 size version?

afaik, bootloader (locked/unlocked) doesn't have anything to do with bootanimation...
if your device is rooted and you have access to system files which you can modify and change their permissions - you can change the bootanimation too...
btw i still don't know what is the problem with yours... can you maybe somehow (with some other device or smtn) record a video of your device booting?

and one other thing to consider as well - maybe your device just boots up faster so the animation can't get all the way to the end
i.e. mine boots in about 30secs (cloudy g3 v2.1, dorimanx kernel, dalvik runtime)
