[Q] Installing Firefox OS on ZTE Open C - Firefox OS General

Hi Everyone,
I've just bought my ZTE Open C on Ebay and it came with Android installed on it. Since I want to use Firefox OS I need your help. I tried to find out how to do it, but didn't really find any straightforward information for not-so-advanced users as me. I checked ZTE website for support, but it wasn't very helpful - so I got here.
The other thing is that in my phone settings it says it's Kis 3 and not Open C - is this correct?
Thanks for any help.

Need Alternative USB ROM

Hello Everyone,
Last week I bought all of the necessary parts to do an in-dash install of a Nexus 7 (2012). This morning, before work, I started the process of unlocking the bootloader and rooting, etc. Well on my lunch break I went over to Timur's site to download his ROM to my phone so that I would have it already downloaded before i got home. However, I see that he has discontinued distribution of that ROM. After scouring the interwebs, I found a link he posted on another site with a statement from his saying that it will only be available until 10/19. However, when I try the link it won't load.
So, I am wondering if there are any alternative ROMs that can do all of the same things as Timur's.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Yoga Smart Tab

Hello,
So I got a Lenovo Smart Tab (yt-x703f) and really want to flash TWRP to it, so I can flash LineageOS rom, but it seems like there's no support for it, or even a subthread on XDA.
(I tried various twrp images)
Anyone got some experience with that tablet and have something working?
Cheers
For some reason this device gets the silent treatment on all fora. I can't figure out why, this could be a great multimedia device with some adjustments. batt life is great as is the sound. Screen is ok ish and the speed needs to be tweaked, but no one is willing to tweak
You can root the device and even flash a GSI on it. Tested myself and everything is working

Not sure if we are talking about the same device but lenovo does not support their mid tier devices with OS updates and would like to install a bloatless OS also pie is really dated and wondering if i will run in to issues with app compatibility. There is also that issue where it won't run HD in netflix because netflix is a static app and can not be removed and reinstalled. Hence bloatware and would love a clean google experience.

Flashing a GSI might help if the device supports Project Treble. Basically any device launched with Android 8 and above should support Project Treble.
Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga smart tab (YT-X705L) and I want to install a new rom on it. I’m not an IT wizard so I need help with that. Would you find anyone who can give step-by-step instructions from start to finish with download links.
And if you can find experiences on how anything works (which is GSI). Thanks in advance.

[ZTE-A5-2020] Build bloatware-free android version from sources

Hi guys, first post, so there's a lot i don't know.
I somehow recently bought a phone, ZTE Blade A5 2020, but the ROM is full of bloatware from the provider, which is a pain and also i would like to have a clean android version with the minimal level of extras, so I've been reading about building an AOSP based ROM for my device. Indeed i need drivers so i already found them at opensource.ztedevices.com where they gently give it. So, my question, from this point what should i do? i have no idea of the contents of that file, but i do know there is drivers folder. Is this something i can build and then flash? or do i need to build the AOSP using this drivers?
is just bothering that somebody took the time to fill the phones with garbage to make extra cash.
thanks for the help
ZTE blade A5 2019
do you think owners of a "ZTE blade A5 2019" can use that PIE KERNEL too?
I give the direct-click link the the pie-kernel for ZTE blade A5 2019 here: directlink
maybe we gotta diff them both. my blade runs kernel 4.4.147+ so the other might not apply.

H96 Max H616 v10

Hi!
I have a problem with this box. I recently bought this box. I've scoured the internet and haven't found a solution to the problem. I can't find how to update to a newer version of android. Currently there is version 10 and I would like 11 because most of the apps are missing or cannot be installed. Could you help me with knowledge and links with tutorials and guides?
Thanks and regards
