Before un-rooting I'd get the app called "Triangle Away" and see if your flash counter is above what it should be, because this will give away the fact you've customized it previously. So long as it's on a stock rom and there isn't any other modifications you should be ok.
Please note, the Triangle Away application is considered a dangerous procedure due to it's amazing capability, and also if your flash counter is at 1 this could be from Samsung and shouldn't be an issue, any more than 1 and you need to get rid of it. Before proceeding do some research to the app

There was a thread here somewhere about knox, root and warranty. Long story short, it depends on the law in the country You live in.
In EU, flashing custom roms, recoveries and kernels as well as tripping knox flag, DOES NOT VOID Your warranty.

That no command comes seconds before the stock recovery.
Dont worry. It is normal.

And I hope you did not trip knox..because there is a way to root even if you have gng8 and also use custom roms without tripping knox.

The no command is normal.
When you go in recovery and you see the no command, wait for 2-3 seconds.
You will see the blue black screen of recovery
No command is normal.

new samsung galaxy s3

Hello everyone.
I have just bought a new samsung galaxy s3 from china. I want to unlock it and install the newest firmware, all at the beginning before i start installing applications and changing settings the way i want them. For start the phone is sim locked and in Cyprus, where i live, i have to unlock it. The only procedures i saw up to now includes root of the phone which automatically means void of warranty. I don't really mind of it but is there any way to do it without this result? How about changing the phone CSC, is that going to help or this has nothing to do with radio?
I also want to install jelly beans but iam not really sure if the official rom for this model is on the market. Any help and any links would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Yeah you have a point here but the warranty is international and i think it is valid in Cyprus too. But anyhow as i said earlier i don't really care about warranty since most of the times i fix my staff.
Congrats on your new purchase. The best Galaxy ever!
You need root privileges to do an unlock.

1. Download Odin
2. Download cf-root for s3
3. Install cf-root trough Odin
-now you are rooted-
4. Unlock your phone using supercurio app.
5. Read before asking questions already answered like millions of times.

I doubt it. Try reading the warranty card that came with your phone. It states that the warranty is valid only in the country of purchase, AND with a proof of purchase (such as invoice, fiscal document, whatever).
Besides, since your model was bought in China, it may not be a GT-I9300, but a variant (such as GT-I9300T, or any other letter after the "9300"). That info will be under the battery, in the labels in its compartment.
If - and only if - your phone is not exactly a GT-I9300 (w/o any letter after that), flashing an I9300 ROM or kernel to it may brick the phone.
Before doing anything to your phone, read a lot fo stuff in these forums, to minimize your chance of bricking your phone, and get a greater understanding of what and why you'll be doing to your phone.
Anyhow, forget about your phone's warranty: a rooted phone is a lot better than a stock phone.
Thank you very much i will keep that in mind. As far as i know it is GT-I9300 and for the warranty i haven't read it yet but i will.
Ok i finally recieved my phone but when i opened it i was really sad to find out that the software was completely chinese! There is not even a choice to insert my gmail account so i can sync my contacts. When i tried to change the csc with the usual way (*#2372....) the only option i got was the one already installed which is the CHY. So i tried to download the SGS CSC selector app to install a european csc but the only way to download it is by google market, something that i am unable to do since there is not even the google play app in the phone!! I am really unhappy cause i was waiting for this phone for a month and now that i have it, it's all messed up...
Any ideas????

No it's an original samsung's product. But i don't know why there is no sign of google in this phone.. And there are also a lot of chinese apps installed. Btw when it boots there is a chinese screen at first and then the normal samsung's logo appears. I wish flashing a rom will get rid all of these chinese things!
Jayden what information would you like to write down for the confirmation of it's international edition??

USB Jig for S4

I've tried my USB jig on my i9505 and my uncles i9500 with my jig and my brothers jig, and surprisingly, they still get the phones into download mode. I'm not sure if it resets the flash counter though.
Feature:
Forcing device into download mode.
Removing Triangle but not resetting flash counter??? (Still Unconfirmed)
TL;DR USB JIGS DO WORK, HOWEVER THEY ONLY PLACE THE PHONE INTO DOWNLOAD MODE!
I'll update the thread for newbs and noobs with a guide on how to use a USB jig, it's a good investment if you're scared you might brick your phone, they cost around a £1.
If you cannot obtain a USB Jig by purchasing, consider borrowing one, here are threads that have names of people who are available to lend you a USB jig:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891197
Or make one yourself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604707
(IT WON'T WORK IF YOU HAVE USED THE WRONG .pit FILE AND RE-FORMATTED, YOU NEED TO USE A JTAG RIFF, NEW MOTHERBOARD OR SEND BACK TO SAMSUNG!! (Personal Experience ;A)

I thought it'd stop working after the S3 but I'm happy it works, now I don't have to buy more tools and shiz!
Off-topic:
Also my post restrictions are really annoying!
My counter is currently on 3 so, if no one tries it in the mean time, I will try this with my I9100 jig at home later this evening and let you know if it resets it.

So it puts the device into download mode, does not reset the flash counter but does get rid of the triangle noting an insecure kernel? Then it works better than it does on the S3

Seems like it. I did not use the triangle away or anything like that but I did flash an insecure kernel for rooting and did not get the yellow triangle.
Also confirming that usb jig will go into download mode, but will not set counter to 0 or "official". Used triangle away to do that.

To reset the counter by jig we need an unlocked bootloader. The jig works, but we don't have the proper bootloader ...

S4's and S3's never had a yellow triangle when flashing. Only the country went up and in some cases a tiny red exclamation mark.

Well i have a friend that just today he recived hes n900 from repair center, he had the same problem as you, acording to info provided by samsung, it was a software issue and they just reloaded the software, so you could just try flashing a stock rom, or just send the phone to repair.
And it's forbidden to bump up a thread in less than 24 hours.
