Sometimes while using the Spen, I have to hit the Back button to go back or use the Back gesture which is not very practical since pressing the button is kinds annoying at times.
In the Galaxy Note 10.1 it simple to go back since the Back button is a touch button.
So is there another way to hit Back on the GN2?

There was an app in the galaxy nexus forums that enabled you to make gestures for basically every action you might think of. If I remember the name , i'll link it here ( not sure if it will work though, but i think it may will ).
EDIT : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535740
i think it was this... its really easy to use , just make a 2 finger swype gesture to from right to left to use instead of back
If you're rooted try smartswitcher from the play store.

I am former Note 1 user and waiting for Note 2.
But I can help
Hoping this options still unchanged from Note 1,
Swipe Pen from right to left by holding pen button = back
Swiping pen on screen from bottom to top by holding button on pen works like menu/option button.
Swiping pen from top to bottom whole holding pen button brings back to home screen.

I think you can write arrow symbol with the Spen to go either side back or forward.
The thing is I was hoping for a way without actually holding the Spending button.

I think it's changed, naturally I tried those gestures coming from the GN1 too, but they didn't work. They have decided to change the bloody commands, it's like learning another language lol.

You can put any cap of any pen on the top of the S-Pen

If i helped click on the thanks button it's easy
You are just keeping the tip pressed in all the time with that mod, no way to write like that.

I know but this for fun only
nor working when lying on bed
the button on the tip of the s pen serves as an action for the wacom digitizer on the screen of note2. pushing the side button of the s pen reverses the polarity of the s pen which then interpreted as another action by the wacom digitizer. this is all the concept i know. correct my if i'm wrong. thanks!
hello, I wanted to ask if it's normal that my pen writes in the air?
got my note 2 a week ago.

No the tip of your pen must be stuck. Try playing with it and see if it frees itself or you will have to buy a new one

Hi friends, I want to show you all... note 2's hidden feature we can call it Air Touch (by this feature you can use your note without touch on its screen through SPen) n hope you'll enjoy this amazing feature... n also let me know how many of you know about it... n if you like this, plz press thumbs up
I've uploaded it on youtube n
Here is the video link

hidden
not its not
Well, for some people, it's not "air touch", it's "S-pen way too sensitive" and it's a problem
(see that vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viDDKGPj2FI)
I guess you tweaked the potentiometer of your S-pen so much that it reacts without even touching the screen ?
BTW, I guess you've lost air view function by doing this, right?
Oh
Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk HD
I thought it was some hidden feature of note 2
I liked it very much its cool and samsung should placed one more button to activate n deactivate this air touch feature n its more fun then air view
Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk HD
Well, the possibility to activate/desactivate this feature could be a great idea indeed, but I fear it depends on the potentiometer of the S-pen. Maybe another button on the S-pen to activate this feature could be a good idea for the Note 3
Was it out of the box for you, or did you unscrew the S-pen potentiometer to get these results?
(for me, it was just the contrary, the S-pen was not sensitive enough, I had to press the screen pretty hard to get it working, I had to unscrew the potentiometer to get a smooth S-pen. I haven't tried to get results as yours and I'm not sure my S-pen could do this even if I tweak it more)
Well I dropped my SPen today
And found this feature accidentally
Its quite simple if you press your Spen tip little inside then this feature activate... for deactivation pull it little out
But its fun to use it
Now its like some high tech magic wand

Hi I hv seen new galaxy s4 video
It has a air swipe feature... where you can just swipe your palm over screen n it'll change the photos, videos
May be samsung will add this feature air touch on galaxy note 3

Not as convenient but you can get the same result by holding the tip of your finger over the nib of the spen.

This is a pretty old feature which I was using on my old Nokia, it was a 3rd party application that used the front camera to detect the motion of your hands over the screen and swipe photos or pages. Nothing new and certainly not a samsung innovation.

Well thats why I want Samsung should put a button that can activate n deactivate this feature when needed... so you can use both features simultaneously according to your use (air touch n air view)... because note2 has capable hardware

I'm experiencing serious problems when trying to take a screenshot with the palm swipe. I had no problem whatsoever on my S III. I'm disabled & can't use the shortcut.
Ideas? TX

I just tried the palm swipe and I realized I had to press on the screen with more force than on the S3 (I've tried both). Also I think air gesture has to be toggled on (as well as palm motion obviously )

Just remembered to respond. Air Gesture was turned off. That said, I remember taking a few screenshots just after I got the phone & AG was definitely off. I also read a bit more about this feature. Supposedly you can hold a finger ~3" over the sensor & it'll activate. Not on my phone...

It's been my experience that I have to physically touch the screen in order for the screen wipe to take a screenshot. I've also found this feature somewhat unreliable as it sometimes moves the screen and then takes a shot of a screen that I have no interest in.

Coming from a Note 1 where I had a nice capacitive button to activate search.
Really don't want to keep a widget on my home screen just to get to Google Now/Search, but can't figure out how to map a hardware button to it.
Help?
What about a custom launcher with user defined functions invoked by a gesture?

Ya, I suppose that fixes all my problems. I was trying to stick with touchwiz for once, but I've finally bit the bullet and went back to Nova.
