Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how to unlock G900W8 Galaxy S5 (Canada Bell)?
Thanks in advance,
Tony
You have to but a code. No other way. I wish there was a unlock by USB method but nope
Can anyone recommend good sites to purchase unlock codes for S5? My carrier and all local shops want to charge $50!

You can get them on eBay for 17 bucks. There are guys there that have 4000+ positive feedback at 99.5%. I'm not sure what other sites cost, but that's the cheapest I've seen.

I am having a few weeks holiday in The U.S and am wondering what's the best way I can carry on using my atrix?
The call/roaming charges from my carrier (T Mobile UK) are really high so I won't be able to use my normal sim much and my phone is also still locked to T Mobile.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Purchase an unlock code online for ten or twenty bucks then use a prepaid Sim card

You just need to factory unlock it. If you can't get the unlock code from att there are YouTube videos of how to do it for free. I did it for free with the method of restoring the golden backup. Only took 5 mins.

Free methods don't work on newer firmwares. Only AT&T or a paid company can unlock it.

Yeah I was thinking about that as I was writing it to him. When I did it I was on 4.2 with the first build the phone came with. I think amdl. Either way you got options bud. You can buy a unlock code from amazon or eBay for really cheap

You can try this link https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/client/en_GB/
I did
I did it a month ago and it works well. Get an unlock doe from the website that costs $30 if you cant find a free way, i tried the one for $6 and they sent me my money back 2 days later because they couldn't do it. Once unlocked use the APN from these settings:
http://www.4gtricks.com/2013/04/t-mobile-4g-apn-t-mobile-4g-apn-settings.html
I tried all of the other ways for it and none of get the full LTE speeds like that one.

It should work as long as it's not carrier locked and the bands are all the same. (Buy a Google Play Edition or a international variant if possible.)
Smack that thanks button If I helped!

If you don't want to spend the money get a att phone on contract ...
Phones cost money, especially off contract.
Plus a used s4 is going to cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars, more if they are carrier unlocked.

I am on MK2 and I tried to use Chainfire's region lockaway app but It didnt work when i rebooted with a tmobile sim card the unlock meno came up asking for a code or to dismiss, tried running it 3 times so far it doesnt work, anyway to fix this?
Anyone?
I don't believe it even works on MK2. You are either going to have to get the code from AT&T or buy one online from a site that sells unlock codes. It's easier to just buy the code.

Hi all
I have an upcoming trip to Las Vegas.
Where can I get the LTE MODEL (N9005) completely unlocked including regional unlocked.
Looking for a shop where I can pick it up and check it out before I leave.
I may have a connection in London too.
Any ideas where I can find this device at those two destinations ?
Thanks !

In London Phones4U normally have them in stock Sim-free. Not cheap though - £620. http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_justphones_details.asp?Itemkey=714026 probably cheaper in US, if you can get the 9005 there.
Alternatively, you may find a boxed one on Gumtree in the UK but it'll be a private sale, cash only and riskier.

What do you mean by "region unlock it from ebay" ?
What i constantly see is N9005 mentioned as SIM Free but many are Region locked to EU.
i dont want to patch the device or hack it.
thanks

Just an FYI - the N9005 isn't compatible with US LTE bands (T-Mo *may* work) so you'd only get 3G/H+ only. -- assuming you are US Based obviously.
