It has come to that time... I have sold my beloved Nexus One patiently waiting for the new Nexus S to be released... I had the original t-mobile version ordered it the day it went on sale and loved but it was getting tired of it and needed a new gadget. Using a blackberry in the interim until the new S is released, this way it will make me want a Nexus S even more when they are released.. Thanks for all the tips and help!
how much did you sell it for and where if you don't mine me asking.
guess some people need the newest of things...the phone is less than a year old.
But it would make sense to sell now rather wait till the 2nd one comes out for less $$$$
I'm not sold on the Nexus S. My buddy has a Galaxy S and I don't like it. It has a weird blue tint to the screen and feels like crap.
If they make it look sexy I might jump. I don't think the Samsungs even include a trackball/optical sensor which would suck. Having a HTC Diamond 2 without such sucked. Trying to correct a word and tapping and tapping and tapping just to get the cursor in the right spot... eg

That's exactly why I don't like the Galaxy S. If the N2 does not have a trackball, Gingerbread should integrate something like the iOS has. That zoom type thing that it is really helpful.
gah, i switched from the Captivate to the N1, and not looking back. Samsung sh*t is worthless when they fail to do testing on the products prior to release. (non-working GPS, SLOW-ass filesystem, etc)
If only I could boost my internal memory
I too have started thinking about selling my phone. With all the apps taking up more and more space and Froyo's lame app2sd feature. Unless someone's mod really can make a good app2sd use of my sd card then I too would need a new phone sooner. Thought about the Galaxy S phone but without a flash how can I find my keys in the dark. If only there was a way to add the 16 gig the Galaxy S has for internal memory to my Nexus one and I'd love it for years to come.

Root it and apply app2ext. It will give you plenty room.
I don't think trackball will ever come back. Even HTC has gone away from it. Yes Samsung S line is crap. But nexus S at least will have Google support. That's the only reason I might consider upgrading from my n1. But its not enough for me to ditch my n1.

root, cyanogen, dartremor apps2sd:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715940
I have over 150 apps, over 60mb left of internal phone storage. Max partitioned SD card is 1gb. FYI, the SGS only has about 1.7gb of app storage, which is nice, but not worth it over a nexus one

I do with mine, all my friends do with theirs. It's something you learn to live with, but it's the only thing that prevents me from recommending the Nexus and Desire, for example, over any other Android phone for most people. I always have to explain that there will be weird screen behavior from time to time.

I do, occasionally. Someones presses on the screen either don't respond or register as a press elsewhere on the screen.
Its very rare for me though and it's certainly not an issue I think about.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
That's happened to me once but I haven't experienced it since. The haptic buttons took about a week to get used to, but my screen is gravy.
Sent from my Google Phone
I've experienced it with the lock slider. It didn't respond. Only happened once, though.
i would keep mine if it wasn't for the unfixable keyboard issue
i would keep mine, but i'm just tired of it. listed on craigslist for $400

I'd be very surprised if it doesn't; I know Froyo on the SGS already has a similar such thing when I tried it. I very much doubt google would do away with such a thing and then not give you any alternative.
the horrible touchscreen on my nexus is just as bad as the other issues that the samsung phones have. no such thing as a perfect phone

Not as much now. But thats just part of the problem. Its A LOT easier to type on 4 inch screen then on 3.7, u would think that 0.3 is not much, but it is. Also I like that even on lowest brightness and direct sunlight I can still see on my Vibrant.....cant see **** on Nexus without using auto brightness.
WOOT! Please excuse my terrible spelling!
Ok so as many of you now know i an the pround owner of a galaxy nexus, the latest in the pure google software phones. The nexus seems to be gathering a fair bit of interest around the forum so i thought i will do a cmoparison of the two.
Now it would be silly to comapre benchmarks in quadrant or lin pack packs as we all kow the Nexus will kill te x10 in these (once benchmarking works properly in android 4.0) i have not even attempted a single benchmark at this point.
Screen and display
So to start with i guess alot of you must wonder how it feels in hand being a large phone with 4.65 inch screen, the answer is actually it feels very comfortable and having quite large hands i find it sits in my hand easier than hte x10. Some of you will know the Nexus has a curved screen, this worried me a little but if im honest you can barely tell its curved when your using it. While we are talking about screens not all of you will know that the Nexus is the first device to received a supre amoled HD screen, resoltution of 1280 x 720 (720p basicly) and the display is absolutly georgeus, rich and bright colours, very dark blacks. I did find yesterday when i was first using the phone whites had a kind of mild tint of yellow to them but this seems to be not so bad now, the colour spectrum now looks more normal and natural. Not had any issues so far veiwing in natural daylight outside but it is winter here in Uk and not much light during the day anyway. The screen is of course actual multitouch.
We all know about the x10 buggy dual touch and resolution is 840x450 and its just a normal lcd screen which can be hard at times to see in direct sun and is 4 inches big without 16 million colours. The difference in quality really is amazing, not just because of 16 million colours but the resolution and screen type. They are like chalk and cheese or cheese and chalk which ever you find tastes nicer
Screen scrolling of the Nexus is smoother than silk, i now know what people mean by eye-gasms lol If your interested the gingerbread crt screen screen on / animations are still there plus some that look similar to iphone for turning landscape to portrait or vice versa.
Performance
As previously stated i have not ran any benchmarks yet but the Nexus is a monster when it comes to speed and performance in general, it comes with a 1.2 ghz texus instroments processor. It has actually been under clocked by 300mhz for Nexus, meaning this dc processor is naturalally a 1.5 ghz monster, turned down presumabley to conserve battery. We all know x10 is 1ghz single core snap dragon with current maxium over clock to 1.2 ghz where it gets unstable for most.
Its a little hard to talk about the performace without general benchmarks to give a rough idea but let me tell you there is not a hint of any lag of any kind trying to use pretty much anything. I did find some lag while typing a PM to a good friend here on xda in landscape mode but quite a lot of apps wont have been updated to fully supportive of android 4.0 at this time so any update will sort that. Yesterday i did a full back up of my apps (system and data) and data on the nexus in titanium and it took about 45 seconds to a minute to complete, x10 can take a few minutes some times.
Software
I think everyone here knows the Nexus lauches with android 4.0.1 aka icecream sandwhich. It is very intuitive and easy to use, very easy to navigate and its on a whole other level compared to gingerbread. Espicially with the time taken to make everything look really very beutiful using mainly black, grey and blue with some greens and whites. If anyone is running cyanogenmod 7.1 there is a free icecream sandwhich for theme chooser which gives a a good idea of what to expect.
The launcher nativly supports folders which is very very handy for keeping stuf tidy together and organised. The folders couldnt be simpiler to create, simply drag an icon ontop of another and theres your folder and just keep adding till your heart is content! The launchre reminds me of the arc style one with the bar at the bottom with space for 4 things whch can be changed and folders can be added into these 4 spaces. With hte nexus you get most of the google apps pre installed which is nice, including a new version of google music with built in eq and its beutiful to use. There are also nice sound effects as you go through menus and for certain key presses, not as cheesy as the touchwiz noes or so noicey which annoyed me on touch wiz on sgs2. The software really is the best thing about the nexus
Camera
This is probably what most x10 users including me are concearned about, it has only 5 mp camera. Get the idea out of your head more Mp means better picture. Yes nexus only has 5, but what it does with those 5 is what counts! Pictures are taking almost instantly, google brags over zero shutter lag and i can see why! You can literally get probably about 3 pics in the time it takes to get one off x10! Actual flash is supported, flashes twice for red eye reduction and the led is very very bright, beats x10 photo light by miles. There is a native panorma camera feuture built in to the camera which is nice to use, upto 1080p video recording and 1.3mp front camera. This can be used for face unlock. Yes thats right, face unlock, when hte screen is locked simply point the front cam at your face which it recognises as you and will unlock the phone. I hear your questions about security, yes its not the best in hte world, it will owrk with a photo or if your phone is stolen in your sleep provided its light enough for te caerato see you. Its more of a fun thing at this time!
I will be uploading some sample photos later on for you guys to see. they will be in doors at night in my study where the pc is so excuse any mess in advance!!
Hardware
So i already talked about dual core, and camera but there is a few other things worth mentioning like for example hw buttons, or more to hte point lack of! There is 3 buttons in total on hte outside of the phone, power on (screen controls) and volume up and down rockers. Thats it, dead simple and anymore now i odnt find needed. All the buttons for apps, back and multitask are on screen. I hear another question, wheres menu? To put it simply menu is built in on screen for any apps that use or need it and not shown at all times. The mulittask button is much more functional to just switch between apps in a breeze.
Also worth noting is lack of sd card support. The phone comes in 16gb version or 32 gb (not released yet to my knowledge). The internal storage is lightning fast to brwose through, faster than class 10 sd card so i have read but nothing to back me up on that. I have the 16 gb and its fine for me. This choice may have something to do with googles plans for google music where you will be able to stream music from your library based on pc to your phone anddownload frequently used albums or tracks and eventually buy albums and tracks directly through the android market itsself (already happening in USA).
You will be pleased to hear that the headphones work normally, buy any set with built in mic and they will work without holding in hte mic button for musivc to sound normal, unlike sony you had to hold in hte button if you had decent headphones of your own.
Conclusion
Its the best phone iv ever had, probably one of the best on the market to date and after spending smoe time with it you will not want to use anything else. My x10 has been untouched and unloved for almost 24 hours. I recommend anyof you to get get one. BUT rooting is kind of a pain in hte arse, you have to first unlock bootloader then flash this superboot.img through adb (no recovery as of yet) and it has hard for me to get the drivers needed for fastboot. It took me quite along time to get root and unlocked bootloadre with the help of a dev, had it not been such a pain with the drivers it would of been much much easier and was straight forwards when the drivers were ok. Just so you you know you need working adb on your pc for root and bootloader.
So i hope this is an ok write up with enough detail, its taken mne long enough to type lol If anyone has questions please post and il do my best to answer when i can.

You already have yours??? God, I hate you right now Still waiting for mine to be dispatched at least
But thanks for the comparison, i was waiting for a honest review from someone who came from an x10 as well. Now it's even harder for me to wait. Dispatch date should be tomorrow though
Two more questions just came to mind:
- since you're from the UK, do you have the volume mute bug?
- Can you perhaps give or link me to the drivers and stuff that I need for rooting?

Yeah took delivery yesterday luch time, been on it as much as i can ever since. Trust me you will find it worth the wait thanks for making my review sound credible and honest. That first try at bashing something out like that. Could you be more specific about the volume mute bug, not sure if i had it, dont think so. My volume doesnt go up and down on by free will if thats what you mean? Will post driver drop box links later on. will aslo dig out some thread of use for fastboot adn rooting boot.img etc etc

Wow, I'm super jelly man! I would also really like the Galaxy Nexus! It looks fine! How is the battery life with constant use compared to our x10? Is it worse, better or the same?
I think I won't be able to buy the Galaxy Nexus this year. My x10 is just over a year old, and I just bought a new gaming PC. I will get one next year I hope so!
I'm really excited for the pictures! Thanks for the great comparison!

It'd be good to see a side by side comparison of the two phones showing the difference between boot up time, lag, responsiveness, browser speed etc....

I'm not too bad, my main down fall is I don't have another camera to film all that on though. The browser is very fast though, lag only happens while typing sometimes on xda otherwise it just flys through everything with ease.
When I can get my hands on my gfs dhd will see if I can come up with a video perhaps.

Thx for the pics, the camera seems to be quite decent in low light/artificial illumination. X10 always gets blurry when I try to take pics like these. And you seem to have the same problem with X10 The shutter is just too slow after the phone focuses.
And thx for the files too! Now I just have to get my Nexus and figure out how to use these files
Btw. watch out! Now the internez knows your face!

Hello guys,
This post is not meant to wine or get results, it's a general chat post, I'm sharing my thoughts and opinions, if you disagree and feel like sharing, go ahead, if you are here to troll, make a U turn and go away please!
Iv'e been using the Note for almost 2 months now, I love it - It's pretty fast, (Rocket V17 OCed to 1.7GHz), Battery holds up nicely, Screen is great.
But still it has some odd feel to it, like it's not perfect.
The Galaxy S II I had before the note, felt pretty perfect with the latest firmwares and some mods, but also, something was still lacking, for example, playing Glow Hockey 2 proved an annoying delay between the finger and the puck movement.
I always thought it was the game, but when I tried it on the iPhone 4 it was perfect.
Yesterday, I had a chance to touch'n'fell a Galaxy Nexus.
It was the first time I felt everything was right on an android phone. (Excluding the small screen compared to the note... I'm doomed on that part...)
Everything was ticking perfect. Smooth, Good looking, UI was perfect, no stutters, no FPS drops, no delays.
BTW, I was never an iPhone fan, but I can appreciate many things on iPhone/iOS, none the less, i'll never be an iProduct owner.
So what I wanted to share is that I hope that when Samsung release ICS for our note, the CM team will be able to use it to give us the experience that is going on with the Galaxy Nexus.
Me,
Out.

I recently upgraded my HTC Sensation with a leaked ICS build (including Sense). It definitely made that phone much smoother and snappier than it was running Gingerbread - it really did transform the device!
I won't be swapping back to the Sensation over the Note, as overall I still prefer the larger screen of the Note, even though the Sensation running ICS feels faster than the Note.
Given that the Note with Gingerbread is definitely much smoother than my Sensation with Gingerbread/Sense, it certainly bodes well for the upcoming upgrade to ICS, and I fully expect an ICS Note to excel!
Regards,
Dave
I have same feels like you.. I have note 3 weeks and many things is not perfect.. When i open QnA section in galaxy nexus forum, there is no problems and when i open galaxy noge QnA its full of problems with display, scratches etc. But what is killing me is that nexus have only 5 mpx camera and 1.2 ghz processor :/ what you think i have to do? i have many problems with display, sound, many things lags, inaccurate display and s-pen, banding... With 3 or more issues i can refund and i dont know if i buy galaxy nexus or not :/
Hi eitama,
I was between the Nexus and the Note, and was tired of waiting for updates for my X10, it's screen is unusable with sweaty hands and the display on my SII had uneven brightness, forcing me to replace it 2 times in 1 month, receiving 2 faulty devices as a replacement.
Long story short, i wouldn't buy another Samsung device, but the need to have a fully functional phone led me to buy the Note, and i 'll tell you why.
First of all, the stock battery on the note is unmatched. 2500mAh is the best of the best right now. No need to double the size of the phone just to get that extra hour. Nexus has a 1750mAh as stock battery. It may last the same as the Note now, but it runs ICS. Our Note will only get better with it's dual core optimization.
Secondly, the screen. I can't see myself going to a phone having less than 5 inch screen. I couldn't be more happy with the display performance. Even though the colors might not be that accurate, i have faith in the dev community here fixing the issue. If i am not mistaken, Supercurio has been working on a fix. Nexus's ppi is higher sure, but do you really need to pinch to zoom to read something every time?
S-pen. It has replaced pen and paper for me. Nexus doesn't have something similar coming out of the box and it doesn't have the hardware space to facilitate a pen inside it. I am not sure if it has a dual digitizer screen also. Our Note's screen is both pressure sensitive and capasitive.
About the need to have the latest software update available. I used to have that, then i took a Note in my pocket. Joking aside, i've been browsing the Nexus sub-forums and i have seen the "Once the ICS's wowness ware out, it's just another phone" type of threads. I can't say the same about you, but if people are bothered enough to post about it, i am sure that would happen to me as well. Besides, ICS will come to the Note too. It's not like we are wondering if we will get the update, like other devices.
Camera. Again, you will see countless thread over the Nexus forums complaining about it. Quality aside, I 'll ask you this. Do you really find yourself in a situation where you have to take 10 pictures in 12 seconds?
Expandable storage.
If you check the development section here, you will see many stock roms that have been leaked that improve smoothness, touch sensitivity, battery life. Grab one of these babes if having a smooth device is a must. I am tempted to flash one of them, but being on stock KK5 unrooted is more than i could ask. I 'll wait to see ICS come via KIES, then root this beast. Happy days.
In the end, it's your call. I was just posting my point of view.

In my opinion, if you don't take too many pictures, you will get used to the camera, no matter the quality, and I doubt it's bad. 5mp is enough.
If you don't mind the smaller screen size, I think the Galaxy Nexus is a win phone.
I'm thinking about this issue myself. I'm kind of tires of being late at receiving firmware. And tired of samsung crapware, even though they do have some nice additions, all of these can be added to aosp.
Lets be honest, how many times did you remove the external sdcard from the phone? How many times were 16gb not enough?
The flaws of the Nexus can be tolerated, where as some flaws inserted by Samsung just keep annoying you.
ICS could be what u r looking for
@Bassarnis,
Thanks for you great reply, It was a pleasure to read.
I know the Note is amazing, I also enjoy using it, and the more people ram me for having such a large phone "Q:does it fit in your pocket? ; A:Where do you think it was up until now?" The more I enjoy having it.
But, I remember the first time I touched an iPhone 3gs, the experience was great, for about 20 minutes I was sure it's the best phone ever, then I started finding out all the limitation is annoyances and it got off the list, Still, the first 20 minutes were amazing.
With the Galaxy Nexus, I really had those 20 minutes all over again, they only ended by the dude owning the phone having to go home
The note, with custom kernel, all the fixes in the world, still lags!?
Believe me I know how to trace those problems, been having and hacking android for a long time. I know all about freezing all the right apps, running top, running logcat, disabling logs, OC, BetterBatteryStats, tweaking the live wallpaper, removing unwanted services - Still the note just lags.
BTW, Full wipe everytime I switch rom.
I don't even keeps my photos/vids/mp3s on the phone cause I want to start over clean. Only thing I leave behind is SMS/Contacts via google account/Whatsapp backup/Where's my water backup
I am just not sure the ICS Nexus like smoothness will be kept with samsung "baked" roms. (even if they are baked by samsung themselves)...
:0
I can stand software issues.. But not hardware.. This phone is crapped by samsung. I seen many peoples that replaced their note 37582 times and always got defect device... I have 16 gb external cor movies and often take pictures.. This is why i choosed Gnote... But i have on my device about 5 issues.. Hardware... So i will replace my gnote for new one.. If somethinv goes wrong, hail galaxy nexus!

16 gb is a joke for a super phone. I have a 32gb card in my note and still not enough. I see you don't keep videos on your phone or a good song collection and photos. Don't tell me about cloud storage- that requires a data connection. A 5 mg camera on a superphone again is a joke. No removable storage on a super phone is also a joke. The processor on the Nexus doesn't bother me though that also could he better.
graphic is also old.. but is more useable as Gnote
I was gunning for the nexus as well, but the hardware was not impressive enough.
And I wen't for the Note, because I knew I would be running ICS eventually.
I come from an HTC Incredible S so for me this is a huge step up from what I had.
But I'm absolutely sure CM9 would give an even better user experience.

I have over 20gb of movies on my SD card, and my internal memory is nearly full with GPS maps, music, and games.
16gb unexpandable is a definite deal breaker for me.

I never really replace the SD card, but I do use it quite frequently.
Today rocket rom V18 was released, and i backed up everything getting ready for a full wipe, so i decided to try cm9 by maui, just to see how it runs, and it's a lot better then I thought.
I'll use it for a few days, and if we can run Nova/Trebuchet on samsung stock ICS, maybe the note will fullfill me after all.
So for some odd reason, my S3 loves to delete the videos and pictures I take with my camera. To test this theory last night I took some random pix of my car. They showed up in my gallery and I could view them perfectly, so I close out and go to my home screen, and turn my screen off. 15 minutes later I go back into my gallery, and nothing..... None of the pix I took were in there, and nowhere on the card or phone. This POS phone has deleted countless priceless memories of mine, from my aunt's birthday, to my father's funeral...

Bad SD card?
Highly doubt it. I save all photos and videos to the phone

Are you saving them to your external SD card or the phone's storage?
If external. Most likely culprit is just a bad/old/failed/corrupt(take your pick) card. My last two Patriot cards bit the bullet way too early in their life.
Or maybe an issue specific to a rom your using???
I know it isn't a permanent solution, but if you enable online backup to Dropbox or Google Drive then your pics will at least be saved there until you can figure out what's going on with your phone.
That's what it looks like I'm going to have to do. Also my stuff is saved to the phone, and not the card

If you are running stock then I would go get it exchanged. If not stock then go back to stock and test
What do you think the note 3 still a good phone ? I want to use it for another year performance is still good, what do you guys think ?

Yes! Mine is running nicely for almost 2 years. Not planning to upgrade to the Note 5
It's still quite good and powerful enough for both office tasks as well as gaming...
But the design is too obsolete
Note 3 stopped me switching phones very often!
Great hardware and we got loads of Devs to supply the ROMs...
Ordered a extended battery and waiting... I'll use this for 2 more years...
Mine's going to happily last me at least another year. Just got myself a new screen protector, too.
The design isn't really of any concern to me, mine doesn't leave my Otterbox Commuter unless I need to do a battery pull or swap out the SIM.

Yes, more than good enough for me. But for a new user one should only get it if there is a big price difference between Note 3 and Note 4, otherwise Note 4 all the way.
But for OP, well sticking with it for another year is absolutely easy, this phone is that good. I don't remember any phone which I still love even after more than nine months of usage.
If the Note 5 had been any good, I would consider upgrading. But as it is not, I am staying with the Note 3.
The Note 4 is marginally better, but I don't see any benefit over the Note 3 that would be worth a couple of hundred bucks.
Note 3 runs very smooth, I have no problems with it at all, and the ROMs on XDa keep it fresh/up-to-date.
I'm hoping a TouchWiz Marshmallow ROM comes to us down the line (even if it's nine months away)
Serving me for almost 2 years and i still love it, im gonna still use it minimum another year

A great phone, decent performance, removable battery, and micro sd card. Am not into consumer trap, new smartphone is just like pc,never ending, keep releasing new model and stuff. Got myself a new battery, waiting for custom or official marshmallow. Will use it till it die.
Loving this Snapdragon 800
Of course this good phone. Both versions are good, but snapdragon have more support from developers, and got more chances to upgrade to marshmallow

The only thing missing from the Note 3 is optical image stabilization and maybe better low-light photo capabilities for the camera.
Otherwise, still a disgustingly powerful phone.
Perfect for multitasking, media consumption, normal usage, power usage... and a mobile telephone.

Yep, OIS and low light capability are the two most important things which are there present in Note 4, and the main advantages of the phone over the Note 3. But if someone doesn't care about camera much, then well...
For me, having impatiently awaited for note 5, and to see the end product, I was more than disappointed and feel a let down from ALL samsung latest flagship phones ... all those new samsung designs are really iphone copycats.
So I'm loving my note 3 for now, still one year+ to go. It is really a giant of a phone in terms of performance. Design-wise, it was one of the last samsung phones to have the left button as menu key primarily - which I feel is the most natural function.
I have been tinkering with some newer phones, and have still not understood the rationale behind removing the menu key and having a dedicated key for task switching instead... For any application, I will use its menus more than spending my time switching between tasks ...
My next phone would probably be an HTC or I would switch over to iPhone. I want a ROCK SOLID phone as the substitute of the mighty note3. Definitely this is not a samsung...
Don't have any complaints, just updated to a good ROM and kernel and got better than from factory, thanks to all xda desenvolvers!

There are certainly better phones out there for not much more money, but the note 3 is still a solid device.
Mine's a year and a bit old, I really hate the silver bezels (extremely poor quality, got chipped and broke in one place) and the camera is mediocre for the price they asked back in the day, but other then that it's still performing very, very well.
In the lollipop update they added that little pin feature in the action memos so you can turn it directly into a resizable widget, which is the perfect "to do" feature for me, and other stuff that I need to remember.
For the heavy spen users: in the small tip replacement bag, you should find some plastic ones which are way more slippery on the display then the bamboo ones. This works especially well on screen protectors, of any kind.
I'll keep mine for another year and then I'll maybe switch to note 6 if it won't be the garbage that note 5 is.

This is spot on. If I need low light I use my Olympus Stylus 1 camera. I only use the Note 3 camera for quick Whatsapp pictures. I'm running Temaseks latest 16.5 (as of writing) and after changing to F2FS filesystem the phone is super smooth and I manage to get nearly 3 days usage out of my phone. Not changing till it kicks the bucket; especially as the Note 5 doesn't have changeable battery or MircoSD card.

Hmm, don't really have any idea about this F2FS file system. Gotta look into it.

Exactly. I only use my phone for the occasional Facebook/Whatsapp photo. Anything else, especially low-light, I use my Canon EOS 70D. Smartphone cameras are no good for real photography. Nighttime photography on a sensor that rubbish? Hell no. If I want that much noise, I'll just turn the ISO on my DSLR to 12800.

The irony is that the F2FS file system is the very reason Samsung removed the MicroSD slot on the Note 5 and S6.

Definitely. My Olympus has only a 1 2/3 sensor but I can shoot up to 800 ISO without a hint of noise which is perfectly fine for me as with the built in image stabilisation I can still get great low light pictures. My camera is classed as compact/bridge camera so is also very portable. This picture was taken from the back of moving boat at night time on the Venice grand canal at ISO800 on the Stylus 1. Even if this was taken with an S6 camera it would be noisy and/or blurry.
On the other point it is ironic as to why they've dropped the microsd card but this I can live without that as long as it's got enough internal storage. I can't do without the spare batteries as I travel a lot and there are many times that being able to carry around small spare batteries has been a life saver!
