DEV Edition Has TWP And ROOT - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 General

Attention Note 4 Developer Edition Owners. The Note 4 now has custom recovery (TWRP) and root. Go check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...izon-galaxy-note-4-developer-edition-t2914717
Many thanks to Chainfire and our own fz798 and mrlaigle for their persistence and efforts.

Will this help the retail get root eventually?

Last night and this morning I gave out so much thanks that XDA told me I was out and that I could only give out eight thanks per day. Sorry I can't hit the thanks button anymore today. It was exciting I think fz798 was first with TWRP at about 10 PM CST and mrlaigle was first with root at about 11:17 PM CST. Man we were rocking all night long. It was fun.

AT&T Note 3 Bootloader Bounty Discussion Thread

This is a thread to discuss the bounty thread for the bootloader found here.
Are there any developers who would like to come out of the woodwork and share their progress?
I'm not thinking many will if they are trying to get the bounty to themselves. If I were a developer I would be hesitant on sharing anything until it's finalized.
I know there are developers working on this. I know a few in person, and a small handful on XDA.
do we still have hope? i'm this close to sell it, lose money and get a normal 9005

I'm not sure that there was much hope to start off with. I wouldn't count on this happening anytime soon personally.
I'm sure it will happen one day. The iPhone 4S took several months to jailbreak, but the point is they did it. They didn't even have a bounty to work with. If you need some custom ROMs now, getting a normal 9005 might be what you need.
I'm not worried about it for now. The stock rom is pimp as ****! It would b nice, but for now I'm more than happy! This phone is amazing.

Any developer that spends a countless hours trying to develop a safe method of flashing roms for a phone he/she doesn't even have deserves a bounty donation in my eyes....

However, RLDV is extremely easy if you follow the step-by-step that @designgears provided in his thread. Never used Kingo but it works and it's very easy as well.

The previous root for N9100 has not worked for me so far. I've tried several times, factory reset and re-imaged stock firmware, then tried again.... but always a write failure.
A new firmware for N9100 (N9100ZCU1ANJ3) has been released just yesterday. The previous N9100 firmware was N9100CHC1ANIG. Not sure if the new one gets a root if this will help.
Per normal, recovery image from the stock ROM is attached.
I bought this N9100 at an official Samsung shop in Shanghai. Not sure if they have done anything special to prevent rooting on this model.

What would be the likelyhood that a "better" root method becomes available?
Is it likely that a method of rooting US carriers Note 4s comes along that would not trip knox?
Is there any advantage to waiting for another root method to become available?
I plan on getting this phone and rooting ASAP but want to be sure that my impatience doesn't prevent me from losing out on something important in the future.
I'm getting the same error with harb2 on my N9100. Looking forward for a wokring root!

CF-Auto-Root-trlte-trltexx-smn910f not working for build KTU84P.N910FXXU1ANIE
Dear Chainfire,
I want to report a problem that the CF-Auto-Root-trlte-trltexx-smn910f root is not working for SM-N910F with build KTU84P.N910FXXU1ANIE.
It fails during the flash process with "SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery" as seen on the device.
In Odin it says:
FAIL! (Auth)
Complete(Write) operation failed.
If you would need the firmware for testing please let me know.
Thanks in advance and keep up the excellent work!

EDIT: I have the "N910SKSU1ANJ1" compilation.

[Q] Root exploit for 183.46.15

Is there any hope on rooting 183.46.15. is it Verizon that locks bootloaders and patches kernels because i have also have a verizon note 2 with locked bootloader and patched kernel. But some people were able to make root scripts for this phone running on JB and KK although their bootloaders were locked and kernels patched. I have rooted my phone running KK but cant flash custom recoveries/ROMs.
Right now, there are no exploits. Making another post about it isn't going to speed things along, either.
