Maybe because it's not out yet?
Opening this in the T-Mobile section implied that there was root now. I am subscribed to both areas and tho I knew other models already had root for days, ours hadn't yet.
@Chainfire should release soon. many have shipping confirmation already,
Aaaaand, its released for n910t. Although one user has reported some issues with it.

I know it's irrational, but I have a problem with tripping knox, so I'll wait a bit. Sucks though -- I miss root.
Wonder if root DeLavega can be done on note 4 I know knox is a newer version and probably has the fix incorporated for that, just thinking out loud

With an update to kitkat happening in the near future I started to think that root may not be so easy. Our bootloader being locked down don't help matters. Right now Kingo is giving users problems and the only other option being vroot.
But what if neither of these work with kitkat?
I will not take an update until I confirm root is possible.
If there's any devs out there that can unlock this bad boy please don't give up.
So what's everyone else think?
I think that in the future people who want root will need to buy a developer's edition.

True but the unfortunate thing is Verizon and or Samsung don't make enough available.
Would be nice if they started to manufacture more dev units in the future.
Or Verizon can just unlock the bootloaders.

I'm guessing that they will make more. There will, and may now be, some significant legal difference between the two. A lot of people want rooted phones so when bootloaders are no longer exploitable they will come up with a scheme to exploit those root-wanters.

I heard a while ago that kitkat could break some root apps. I wonder if anyone is experiencing that?
I haven't heard anyone say anything about it so hopefully that's not a factor anymore.

Everything I've read about how Kitkat screws up access to SD card makes me want to have no part of it. When I hear it is coming to vzw I plan to root and try to figure out how to stay stock mje and block updates. The only thing I really want fixed is the compass and since Nobody admits it's a problem I don't expect any update to fix it.

Is it still possible to root Verizon Galaxy Note 3? I am no longer able to root my Verizon Note 2 because of 4.4.2. And I am thinking of getting a new phone because of it.
I like the large size. I watch a lot of videos. I like the S pen but could live without it.
I heard that Note 4 will be out soon. Does anyone know if there will be a root for that? Probably not out yet, but I thought I would ask
Thanks

Your question is a little ambiguous.
1. FlashFire works for more than just TouchWiz
2. The Non-Developer Verizon S5 has a locked bootloader....as such, only TouchWiz ROMs (some people might say TouchWiz = Stock...but that is misleading) will work on the device.

No, it's Verizon...they blocked HTC from root and access to the HTC unlock option. There are no issues rooting T-Mobile or Sprint S5s.
And no one should ever say never. Exploits just appear...like Towel Root, Kingo Root and KingRoot in the past...no one is aware of their creation...they just show up and work. So one never never knows (seewhatIdidthere) :silly:

It is more that it is not a rushed thing, most people have a rooted version of OE1 that uses OD5 bootloader. So fewer people are without root. It is just a way to directly root OE1 that is not available yet.

If you had not taken the OTA update or otherwise installed stock OE1 then you could have gotten a version of rooted OE1. It may be a while before people find anything to directly root OE1 or later, just because there are fewer people who need that, so not as much effort is being put into it.

Nope, sorry, OE1 and OG5 you can't downgrade because of the locked bootloader. But there is a good news that they may found away to unlock bootloader on Verizon G5, we just have to wait and see if they will in fact release the exploit.
