Hi just resurrected my tab 10.1 again because of the release of the ps4 remote play feature released by Sony a few days ago. Using files provided by xda member (xperiaplaystation)
His thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/4-4-4-stock-xperia-devices-ps4-remote-t2868092
I have successfully got my trusty tab 10.1 to connect to my ps4 and am able to use it as a second screen to play games. Every thing works as it should I just haven't got the ds4 controller to connect yet as I run out of time at work but will have a go tonight.
I just wanted to post this because of all the help and roms and stuff I have got from xda over the years and thought it was a major upgrade:good for a tablet that keeps on giving more.
I always wanted to be able to use a good ten inch size tablet as a screen for my console but with none available with a Hdmi input it wasn't possible until now and offcorse the xda member who provided the files and tutorial
Anyway I'm here to help anyone wishing to get it working on there galaxy tab 10.1 p7510 wifi also have made a video showing it working and also showing system settings displaying the rom I'm on and build details ect.
I will upload the video if allowed.
I have now added a video it is on page 2 because I couldn't seem to get it on this original post.
I'm needing some help please, I'm on nameless rom nightly the su. can't get passed the 808535678 error

Cleanup for reinstallation from Google play services it deleates super user and remote play works. When you want root again just install the latest su and your back to normal.

the progress it works on my galaxy tab 10.1 but I have. I persist in wanting to solve the problem maybe a bad connection to me i am going to.

I have an enormous lag. Sorry I forgot words.
galaxy tab 10.1 cross play ps4
new to the forum given the restrictions that exist, I just post directly to the page that deals with the PS4 connection with all android.
So I post here.
Because I work the application of remote play on a Galaxy Tab 10.1. in omni 4.4.4 .
I states that my tab suffers no the attence in this rom.
I like all a problem with DS4 controller.
So I use the workaround through a second account on my PS4 but I have a huge lag on my main account.I realized that if I stay on my second account the lag is almost completely reduced.
For all question is here. : D
When I try to flash it, it give me an error:

What you try to flash ?
For installed the remote play on my galaxy tab 10.1 I followed:
Http: // forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-de v/sony/4-4-4-stock-xperia-devices-ps4-r emote-t2868092. Tuto Page 1
For the feasible ZIP in the CWM " recovery " it did not work , I thus installed(settled) files manually.

Okay i think i got it to work
HI for some reason twerp recovery won't flash the file so I had to unzip the files and then using the app root explorer manually put the files in the right folders of you tab and it works . The files when unzipped will be named with the location in witch they must go. There are four files two go in system permissions and the other two in another folder I'll have to check later and post but in the mean time if you go to the forum link in my original post and read that all the info is there. I think about page 50 onwards is where the info got it working for me.
remote play
Hello, on my gtab 10.1 there is a variable lag . I explains remote play work almost immediately " almost no lag " has moments and all at once big lag. it is playable but no too fast game . The biggest lag are when I go in menu lines of the disappointed in the welcome screen of her ps4.
You have a lag ?
Under what rom are you?
Here is the video it shows what rom I'm on and other details. I don't experiance any lag but that could be one or two things one it could be my connection speed of my Internet which is 50 meg broadband also it could be the fact that I am playing a downloaded game from the PS store rather than a blue ray game I don't have one to test right now until GTA comes out on 18 November. I will try and borrow a game from a mate and check lag if I still have none I will do another video to show.

Thank you for the answer.
I tried on Galaxy S2 I meet no problem of lag thus I think that it comes from my Galaxy Tab. Let be my Rom or maybe the connection with the PS4 and the galaxy tab . I followed the tuto first on Galaxy Tab and tuto 2 on Galaxy s2. I am more profoundly going to accentuate the question.
Verry thanks.

App: MLB At Bat Lite 2012
I love this Rom but the one app I use all the time now gives me a Video error message when I attempt to stream games saying "Error Could not play video". I flash back to the CM9 ICS Rom and it plays fine. I have read other posts to change build.prop settings but I don't think that is the issue here. The GPS fix is amazing and am looking forward to this. Does anyone have any ideas why this video feature will not work right now?
I have the v4 3.14-UNl bootloader installed now and have performed clean installs of the Rom.

I updated , you can flash a patch and there is also a streaming app included in the patch but also in the rom , Toshiba mediaplayer is a nice streaming app
It's not an error with the rom. That app is not authorized for streaming on the A500 ICS build yet. That is why it won't work on Flexreaper. Same as Hulu +. The app was authorized for the A500 HC but not ICS. Your CM9 has a different build.prop and is probably reporting a different device to the app. If you want to use MLB you will have to modify your build.prop to trick the app so it thinks you are on an authorized device.
I've looked at both "About" summary stats and they both say exactly the same thing reagrding device Manufacturer and Model (Acer, A500) The only thing different is the OS version. CM9 reports 4.04 and Flexreaper reports 4.03 on the At Bat App. I have edited build.prop but it doesn't work or there may be another setting I need to edit I am not aware of to make it work. I edited Model, Brand, Name and Device.
I have flashed latest Flexreaper and same thing regarding video error including doing a clean wipe.
I appreciate the feedback.

May I ask why that app, there are 2 apps in the rom that allow streaming and they work.
That is the app that the MLB uses for subscriptions to view games. I would he happy to assist you looking into this if you can.

After long time since I've released the last news, I've decided to discontinue this project.
I'm near final high school exams so I don't have the time to dedicate myself on the project and because, after 2+ years, my Nexus S left me with an hardbrick (I've tried applying Unbrickable Mod and replacing the motherboard but no luck).
You can find my last pieces of work on my GitHub account (https://github.com/Matsca09/Ubuntu-Touch-Nexus-S/).
I want to conclude by thanking everyone who tested and used this port and I hope someone else will continue this work to port Ubuntu on this great phone
Thanks again for all,
Matsca09

Hi everyone,
I want to share with you my port of Ubuntu touch for Nexus S.
What works:
Graphics acceleration
Backlight control
Calls (with audio) and SMS
Camera
Wifi
Audio
What doesn't work:
GPS (?, not tested)
3G connection (?, not tested)
Other things maybe
How to install it:
1) Download the base system and the system image from the 'Releases' section of this post.
2) Extract the 'ubuntu' folder from the Ubuntu image zip and copy it into the root of the phone storage.
3) Copy the base system zip into the root of the phone storage.
3) Flash the base system on your phone and reboot.
The TWRP recovery may report an error like "No OS installed" when you reboot/shutdown after flashing the base system: ignore that error.
Releases:

Suspended -- 12.10 (preview release) --
Base system: DownloadUbuntu image: Download

Hi everyone,
I want to share with you my port of Ubuntu touch for Nexus S.
For now it's a uncomplete port, most things doesn't work or doesn't work properly.
What works:
Graphics acceleration
Wifi
Calls (but no audio) and SMS
What doesn't work:
Camera
Audio (no sounds at all)
Almost everything xD
The ubuntu image is more like a demo than a preview, most of the apps installed won't work, but it's cool
How to install it:
Download the zip from this post
Unpack it: you'll find 2 zips:
ubuntu.zip -> Contains the Ubuntu touch image
ubuntu-crespo-flash.zip -> Contains the base system
Unpack ubuntu.zip and move the 'ubuntu' folder into the root of sd card
Flash ubuntu-crespo-flash.zip with your recovery
At the beginning it may be a bit slow, but later it'll work smoothly

Just want to share the tips how to install BBM on our android our Tablet. If you go to play store, RIM said that BBM for android tablet has not been supported yet. There is a trick how to make it work.
Here is the step:
1. Download the application from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2146216. Thanks a lot to redphx. credit goes to him. Follow the step there. In my case i change my device into samsung s3. (make sure your mobile data is available because unlike whatsapp which can run using wifi, this BBM need mobile data)
2. After activate our device then go to play store and your device will able to download and install it.

Yup, I really wonder WHY on earth does Blackberry postpone releasing the tablet compatible app. It just run as smooth as silk on our Tab 7.7
Still fails to install, device not compatible and when trying to install it OTA it fails also.
Give it a few minutes it must take it a few to sync up to google. Tried again and it installed just fine

So far I know Adobe stopped support for flash player in Android 4.0 so that's the last version that really had full flash but you can always download flash browsers like puffin: )

I have tried many browsers that say they support Flash, but none work so far. I'll give puffin a go.
Dolphin and puffin are the only ones, puffin does it straight on install, dolphin has to be setup to use flash
You just go to adobe's website and you have to search but the last flash player for android is 11.1. They have it there I'm their archives. It works great in all my browsers. Even with the messages site put up to upgrade flash player, the content still works.
I have tried for several months to get flash working on my 10.1. Amazon Prime Instant to be specific. I have not yet been successful. I have tried every browser and several versions of flash. If anyone has been able to watch AP on their 10. 1, please report back on how you did it. Stock, boat, dolphin, puffin, skyfire, flash fox browsers do not work! (yes, I go into the settings and set it to desktop mode and enable the flash).

okay so after some reading, the general feel on this is amazon is intentionally breaking the service to non-amazon devices,
there might be something in this http://www.teleread.com/android/watching-amazon-instant-video-on-android-kitkat-devices/ This article was published on Jan 2 2014
Thanks for kind offers of help. First let me say that my husband has a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and I have flash working on this tablet for him, so I know how it works to set it up. He watches Amazon Prime videos on this tablet. In my searching I came across the comment that because of the processor of the Tab 3 10.1, streaming video from Amazon will never work (I looked at so many sites and can't remember where it was).
I am using the flash apk provided by moonbutt74.
Here are the different browsers I used and the results - I went into every browser and made sure to set it to desktop mode and enabled flash.
Boat Browser: got a prompt to install Adobe Flash (yes, flash is installed!)
Stock Browser: got a prompt to watch the video on compatible devices, such as Kindle Fire
Firefox Browser: another prompt for compatible devices
Dolphin Browser: compatible device prompt
Puffin Browser came the closest. After selecting the video, the video would load, then the screen would go dark. No video. (This is the paid version of Puffin).
Photon Browser gave the same results as Puffin.
After trying all this, I went into recovery and cleared cache and dalvik. Tried again. Same results. So I am pretty much resigned to no Amazon Prime on this tablet.
This is compiled from Nvidia's source using instructions found on this page Link
You need to have an unlocked bootloader and adb/fastboot.
Be aware this does not include any of nvidia's apps or google's frameworks/play store and is just plain android with no extras. (If someone can pull from their /system it may be helpful). I will try to add more later, but this should at least get any bricked tablets going until nvidia released a factory image.

Run flash.bat while unlocked/ screen on(if your computer hasn't been approved for adb yet), or while in bootloader.
Or flash each file in fastboot, instructions are in the nvidia link if you need more.

You'll have to root and push a gapps package into your root directory. We don't have a recovery unfortunately.
precisely...
yeah I normally just slap it in the sd card then boot into twrp and flash away but it's kinda hard at the moment. and even stock recovery is upside down and wont get past the android icon no matter the button combo. lol im SOL.
Pretty sure I received a Lemon Tablet though out of the box. Wifi Was really choppy, but then I factory reset it and wifi was just completely gone. but this reenabled the wifi...thank god. but no playstore/google account is a huge bummer! lmao
I appreciate the fast response though man! I'm not stupid with android, but dummy stock makes me scratch my head. I can throw adb commands all day but I just cant push install them for some reason...maybe im just rtarded
I had some issues just pushing too, try using these commands.
Code:
adb root
adb remount
(from inside the extracted gapps folder)
adb push system /system
WORKED!
Thanks man! Went perfectly smooth! I forogot about pushing the full folder like that. Havent had to do it inna while but yeah man it went smooth as day! Thanks! now to just wait for the factory img...lol
BTW do you know what I have to rename the tablet under about device to make it look as the shield tablet to the playstore? I was using grid when the wifi crapped but I cant use grid as it says my device isnt supported.

I'm not sure exactly what it needs to be changed to, if someone could get a dump of the stock rom it would help. I tried to see if someone could get me a dump, but I've had no luck yet.
I hear yuh. Yeah I'm no help onna dump at the moment. If somebody could post even a screen shot of their about tablet I can rename the stuff directly. I use ROM Toolbox Pro and use the build prop editor. You just rename the builds to the stock nvidia one and you should be golden as the play store reads it as stock nvidia android...I think...I had to do it with the kindle fire back in the day to make it look like a Nexus 7.

Yes, you should be able to change a few things to make it work. I think most of what you can se is cosmetic and you'll have to change the ro.build.fingerprint too if I'm not mistaken.

Hopefully someone who is rooted/stock is willing to send us some screen shots. I actually kinda prefer this build over the stock nvidia one...its a lot faster. Theres absolutely no lag...granted I use sd maid/unlocker, fstrim, and nova. But so far this rom has been great. And you cant beat that barebone feel of android! Although the nvidia optimizer is there its unavailable through the settings menu. You can tell how stuff is like in there but hidden. Theres pros and cons to both. I just need to get the right build props to make the playstore see this as the shield tablet. Youve been a great help bub btw I appreciate it.
It just sucks that my first experience with the shield tablet was a bad install of android out of the box? Thats the first time ive ever had a software related wifi failure. The only other time was eith my droid 2 back in the day. LOL
Btw Other Shield Tablet owners, this is the screenshot I need from YOU so i know what to change my props too. Im using rom toolbox pro, but the lite version allows adjustments too. All I need is the screenshot! Much appreciated!

I noticed what was wrong, after changing like 20 lines, including the fingerprint which SUCKED! The one that I needed to change was the ro.product.build!
I had it, just by guessing at SHIELD TABLET, and while my gf and I were lookingat it I randomnly noticed that it was SHIELD Tablet, and not SHIELD TABLET! I REBOOTED AND IT WORKED!! YOU SIR, ARE AWESOME!! I appreciate the help!! And Keith, when you built the img's I noticed you put your name in them? You should just change that one line to SHIELD Tablet, and you'll basically have you're own rom with the playstaore recognizing your tablet as the Shield Tablet! Thanks guys, a million!

It automatically uses the user name @ PC name when you build from source. Good to know
Sent from my wx_na_wf using XDA Free mobile app

Oh! No big deal! Your name is still all in it. Its just the one line, I assume, thats seperating the playstore from recgonizing it as the shield tablet! Lol
This build has external sdcard issues. My 128 GB SD card shows as damaged, every other ROM with sdcard support (including stock) works fine. I'd love to be able to use a pure android build on the tab, any chance of making another build?
EDIT: seems to have issues with exfat formatted cards, works fine with sdcards formatted as fat32 ?
