Midnight release???

So im just wondering if anyone knows if therell be a midnight release for the nexus 4 or if anyone knows when the orders will go live any info can be helpful!!

Its not gonna sell out on the first day, people thought this with the nexus 7 pre-order.

So were pre-orders for the Nexus 7 started at midnight?

I would think there to be a tremendous difference in demand between a lame ass 7" tab and a quad core 2gb mobile phone with the latest hardware priced insanely cheaper domestically than elsewhere. Insanely cheaper, period.
Never know but I don't expect the 16gb Nexus 4 to last 5min.

Well there ya go. Part of me didn't want to post it as to steer people away from bringing down the site, but meh, I'll be optimistic that Google has enough stock + demand isn't THATT high.

Why?
Only people who follow these tech sites know about the Nexus 4 here in the UK, no tv, radio, newspaper articles have been shown.
We also get stock from a totally different country to US orders.
For the mast majority, only people who go into an O2 store will know about it, and their stock differs from the playstore stock.

What does spam f5 mean and what kind of info should you have ready?
I have already bought stuff from the Google Play store so they have all my details. I figured I would just sign in well before midnight and when the Nexus 4 became available I would select it to buy.
Has anyone bought like a device on the first day available and would like to share what happened?

Assuming you're serious, spamming F5 means quickly and repeatedly pressing the F5 key on the keyboard, to constantly refresh the webpage in hopes of it letting you order the phone

I have never heard of that before even though I have been around computers since the 70's. Thanks for the clarification.

I thinking the UK is going to be the easier place to get a midnight order done. There have been no ads or whatever as someone in this thread has already said. Also, here in the UK the majority of people buy off contract phones so this one isn't going to be that different. But on the flipside in the US there is a massive LTE network that you wont be able to access and that will cut the amount down quite a bit. I'm guessing they will sell a lot but I don't see it selling out...... unless they start running ads after they open the site to orders.

sold out in less than 20 Minutes

well, every half hour here in Australia I was refreshing the nex4 16gb store page, every half hour didnt really seem to be enough, because the 16gb version was sold out here in less than 20 minutes. what its going to be like for the rest of you guys, im not sure.
also for anyone that was relying on the email going out to notify you that its availabe, dont, I never got one!
just some info there for you guys.

Around 12.15 pm Sydney time. That'll be +11 GMT. Strange time if you ask me.

so i guess the sale starts around 12pm local time everywhere. would be better if people from other parts of the world can confirm the sale time.

Was lucky enough to pick up a 16GB Nexus 4
Checked my phone at 12.03pm Adelaide Time or 12.33pm Sydney time and saw the "Add to Cart"
Now just gotta wait for it to get shipped. ^^

I am in Melbourne Australia, I doubt the nexus 4 sold out. Here is what I think happened:
Someoen made them available too early for us AUstralians by mistake and went 'woops' later and put it back to coming soon.
This could well be true because:
1. 12:15 PM for available release time is weird
2. Not a lot of Australians know about the nexus 4 as most Australians are iSheeps and they wouldn't know about this availability on november 13th unless they were reading android news.
3. And with not that much people knowing about it, and just in general tit would be impossible for them to run out of stock in less than half an hour, even the iphones which is marketed profesionally isnt even able to do that (get sold out in less than 30 mins)
4. Many people have called google and they have said that there will be no seperate times, 12 AM PST
5. 1 more hour and 15 minutes until 12 AM PST guys lets keep our hopes up

But the 8GB version was available for a longer period of time. If what you assume is true, they would have fixed all accidents at once...

Then how did Sparky_boi order one genius, you were too slow, I gotta wait until next month to ship it from States via a relative and wanna make sure it comes with a case and screen protector so its gonna be a LOOONG wait

I tried to order N4 and N10 and added them to my cart and tried to checkout but google just gave me an error and deleted my cart.
After repeating the precedure 5 times the devices eventually got sold out.

Any word ontwhen the next batch will be released, or even guesses?

Went on sale at 11:40 exact on EST here in New York. Snagged one just in time, and my order went through and I got a confirmation email so now I am awaiting for it to be shipped!

I called T-Mobile to see my payoff on my m8. I asked about the nexus 6 and she told me to pre order today and arrive Nov. 12. Anyone else hear that? Am I blind?

I've never pre-ordered a phone before. Do you pay the full price of the Nexus 6 up front? Will it arrive on the day it is officially released to the public? I was planning on purchasing the phone outright through Google, just like I did last year with the Nexus 5. Does pre-ordering guarantee the phone will be at my house the day it's released? Just curious on how this works. Thanks.

I never have pre ordered before either. Just order on release day from google. I'm going through t mobile on mine. Have to sell my m8 first. I would say you get it on launch day. Maybe even the day before. I did pre order the T-Mobile g1. Lol. For it the day before.

Google's track record with pre-orders isn't great. They haven't offered a pre-order since the original Nexus 7 when it wasn't shipped until the release date. This left a lot of people upset because they thought they would get it on release day. Google was also immensely backed up and some people didn't get theirs for a week or so, even though they paid for two day shipping. I hope Google fixes this for all future (current) pre-orders, but no guarantees.

I don't think preorders is live yet lol

This is exactly what happened to me. I got my nexus 7 like 2 weeks after it was released in stores because I preordered it from Google...

Note edge for t mobile 10/17

I called t mobile's upgrade line to try to get info for preorder and he informed me that it is launching in stores along with the note 4 tomorrow. It contradicted what I recently heard about November 4th, so I asked him to double check. He then called over his manager and she confirmed that he read the screen right that it would be available 10/17.
They didn't have any pricing info and said preorders weren't happening.
If someone else with t mobile wants to call the upgrade line and see if u get the same story, that would be great... I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high yet, but it's hard!!!!

Well, if by any chance that is correct it would really be fantastic, but I doubt it. I hope it is though.
I just called my local T-mobile rep and he said they already got their shipment of Note 4's and there are no Edge's with them. He said he would have expected they would have been there too, but no go. He did mention that they get another shipment tomorrow morning before opening but he doubts they will arrive then, but we can still hope.

yea his sounds about right..
They said they would start taking preorder right before the end of OCt and that they should be shipped around Nov 4th.
thats been the word on this. and price range has been between $850 and $1100.
I know i will be checking tommorrow like clock work to see if its up for preorder and ill post more information on this thread.

There was a youtube vid taken in japan wondering if the same amazing animation is in the us demo units too

Well refreshed the tmobile page all day long and there isn't anything but it is Friday so maybe Monday they will have more information.

Yep I'm sure it will come soon since they started shipping the note 4 today.
I still believe that the note edge will be released in the beginning of Nov.
Either way they say fall 2014. And that would be from now to Dec 31 lol.....

According to Des on Twitter, one of the reasons for the delay was to make sure all locations were able to get a demo phone. As the leaked list showed, only 2/3 of locations were even getting a demo, and only 1/3 were getting sellable stock.

I want the largest available.. 64GB in this case (I'd take 128GB if it were available) so I'm not going to find it tomorrow but hope to get it before Xmas..

Speaking to one of my friends who also works at T-Mobile today around 9PM EST he told me the email they received was no sale in store but they can direct ship from the store to the customer. I asked he got no email of delayed launch and he said not today maybe if it does it will come in tomorrow. He's a trust worthy guy and knows what hes talking about just as crazy about this stuff as me.

Guess he doesn't know that Tmobile stores don't ship from the store to the customer....

I though I saw can order in store and ship home. I have seen this option multiple times

Direct ship, yeah they can order it for CX and have it sent to store. If he's saying he can order you one, you might wanna do that fast before they block it for him

I just called 611 from T-Mobile and they are not letting you order the phone over the phone. So if a store will let you buy one then you are lucky and jump on it. But I highly doubt that anyone from t mobile is going to sell it earlier.

Just like any business, you have a plan. Moto promised them stock for the date they planned. Looks like Moto failed to deliver for whatever reason (could've been a manufacturing issue)

I just called one of the stores on that leaked list. They told me they did not have any for sale but I could come in and pre-order.

Amazon notified me yesterday that the Spigen cases I ordered were "shipped by Spigen" and would be arriving 11/25-28.

Well, this is what I get for not checking the N6 forums yesterday. Stopped by the store and they didn't even know about the delay until I asked about the phone. That's when the rep saw the internal memo saying the launch was pushed back. It's complete BS to push back a launch date the day before. They already knew there was limited supply.
